the 2 songs are remixed by south london-based artist klein (hyperdub), and tokyo-based experimental hiphop musician killer bong (black smoker records) mastered by bunsho nishikawa, who is known for his works with goat and tenniscoats, among others.
matthew herbert and goldsmiths universitys in-house record label nx records presents the latest in their series of experimental electronic vinyl 12-s. nx14x showcases the work of two boundary pushing goldsmiths students: first, uk born and south africa raised composer galina juritz, whose chopped and spliced rnb doused in lush string arrangements enduces a fidgety unease and zero gravity lushness in equal measure. and second, rising dj and producer harry rodger, with two cuts of organic, summery techno that would sound perfectly at home pumping out of the nts radio speakers into a sun-baked gillett square.
die voices from the sun e.p. zeigt die starke musikalität und vielseitigkeit des roma-teams, das die subtile balance zwischen dancefloor und home listening-intentionen beibehält.

general ludd is rich mcmaster from new jersey and tom marshallsay from canterbury. the guys met at the glasgow art school, where rich studied environmental art and tom studied fine art. their first collaborations were interactive sound installations, but that quickly gave way to all night music making sessions. this is their second ep for us – a more left field turn than their first, but, we can assure you, both tracks will break discerning dancefloors wide open.
archie pelago is a trio from brooklyn. greg plays cello, zack plays saxophone, and dan plays trumpet and works the knobs. the archie guys did one of the very first releases on mister saturday night records, and we’re very happy to have them back – especially with such brilliant tunes. the a side, clammy customer, takes dozens of twists and turns, weaving in vocals by the always excellent gabriel garzon-montano, and the b side, madame suede nightshade, was apparently made with us in mind (check the initials). both sides are tried and tested on our dancefloor and cut at 45rpm for maximum oomph.
fabrizio rat starts his own techno label la machina. the label will be the platform for music oriented to the dancefloor as well as to the mind. the first release, the double bind ep, includes 4 tracks of uncompromising analog techno, labyrinthine sequences, hypnotic textures and banging beats mixing modular synths melodies, drum machines and acoustic piano sounds. on the b side, a phenakistoscope completes the experience, as the artwork animates when the record turns. hand and mechanism, oscillator and string, man and machine have rarely been so close.

hugo frederick has been bubbling under the surface of melbournes incredibly strong electronic scene for years. now its his turn to suit up for an immense 12inch on plastic world full of euphoria and pianos. soaring on an intricate combination of whirling ambient undercurrents, classic 90s house pianos and a deep understanding of house music and the groove that exists within it, hugo fredericks debut ep skin is truly something to behold.
seahawks and their pal eddie c join forces on red motorbike records to create an ep of dreamy innerspace travel music, lush blissed-out interstellar synth pad dreams for the weary space explorer, washing over your mind and body like a cool solar wind, as you take in the luxuriant beauty of the local galaxies. gentle, flowing keyboard melodies that disarm and relax, well crafted electronic rhythms, uplifted melodies and plenty of really nice saturated vibraphone. this is music carl sagan would smoke weed to, music that swirls and flutters through the rays of light reflected by the sheen on this production.
his is a junk yard connections ep in the name of democracy, revolution and indebted to the power of the sea. these ambient tracks, laden with a subtle ocean-vibe and nods to 90s rave influences, were created by a surfer out on a long trip
