on the second trule release al wootton (aka deadboy) drops his first ever record under his own name. traces of dub, uk garage and techno inform the forward leaning, club-focused sound. on selah, al creates a driving steppers rhythm shot through with dub manipulations and uk swing. omega and untitled on the b side continue in the percussive, tracky, swung techno vein of the first trule record.
following on from the last dext limited release by otik & dead mans chest we’re kicking off 2019 in fine style with another limited 10” vinyl cut with the same ethos as the previous release’s , 1 rave banger with a killer remix on the flipside. this time we have invited glasgow s party starter and long-time label supporter nightwave to join the crew and it seems like she has been here all along. psychic tonic is exactly what we are all about rolling breakbeats and thunderous kick drums and is the perfect addition to the dext ltd series. and if that s not enough, another of our favourites jerome hill (super rhythm trax) comes along for the ride, and flips it totally on its head on the remix
the release starts off with wolfhart, a stripped back groove and exquisitely delayed elements will sure get things going.
next up is ording, named after a city in northeast germany, its dubbed infused chords will take you on an expansive mind trip.
on b side, tschi comes in with some playful hi hats and other wordly sounds that will satisfy the most discerning palates. to round of the ep we get a rework from the master steve o sullivan, which needless to say, needs no introduction.
