radioblues take me home on fenou no.16 is the sweetest piece of minimalish housy electronica in a long time on this label. as a mere mortal you cannot resist the dreamy voice of sylwia van der wonderland. you just want to fulfil her wish to take her home and get caught up in her world. solely the music itself makes it impossible to leave the dance floor and thats thanks to robert - the rocket scientist - who is the other half of this organic duo. with remixes by umami, arjuna schiks and le prix you can choose from various styles, but when the last beats fade youre almost forced to flip to b side and back to the a and so on and so forth

straight from germany, this talented producer delivered some of the best deep house music around. entitled >the first floor ep<, it starts with >show me< which is one of those eminently soulful house tracks with a sparse approach to production, all the elements sounding so crisp and distinct in the mix but judged perfectly. whilst >rooted< is a louche head nodder supreme. on the flip side, with >got that< hes creating an all-enveloping atmosphere with its oven-warm pads and rich analogue bass, punctuated with jazzy chords and vocal murmurings. >defense< showcases hes excellent knack for crafting moodymann style textures with the depth to boot, combining a solid rhythmic snap with drawn out vocal landscapes and detroit-referencing melodies. and to last,>trouble< is all brisk, upright percussive layers splayed over swooping disco filtration. nicks approaching house from various angles and tempos and naturally theres plenty of deft usage of samples, such an ep just demonstrate how on top of their game skylax / wax classic is right now - big tip!

following his release on peter van hoesens time to express late last year, sp-x drops his third ep for komisch. fans of >signal path experiments< and >field lines never end< will not be disappointed as the brussels - based producer serves up three more slices of uncompromising warehouse techno. lead track <the escape< has all the sp-x hallmarks - rock hard beats, thundering claps and a swinging groove that underpins eerie riffs and clanking metallic drums >stalker< reveals a more musical slant to sp-xs sound. it starts off with unsettling riffs, but soon the rolling drum-led arrangement changes tact and provides the backdrop for a growling chord climax. there is a similar concession on >attack pattern< bruising doubled-up drums and that unmistakably snappy sp-x percussion combine with subtle snare rolls to create a peak time arrangement. but once again an insistent chord sequence gives it the edge over functional techno. make sure to hunt this killer release down

ander-traxx is a fresh label operating out of glasgow with the intent of releasing righteous underground house, and although mainly a platform for the labels founder alex-ander to showcase his own productions, ander-traxxs remit also includes the presentation of unknown talent for future releases. for this first release, alex steps up to the plate to deliver because of me, followed by 3 remixes from artists born and raised in glasgow. the original kicks things off with its intro of glacial pads and jittery hats, before quickly delving into a seriousely deep groove brimming with melodic layers. although because of me gives a strong nod to the recent developements of producers like omar s and kyle hall, it undoubtedly has the hallmarks of an alex-ander production, his unique arrangements coming to the forefront while still complimenting the crisp percussion that drives the track forward. carlos nilmmns (co founder of the formidable solab production unit) mix is a much more off-kilter and submerged affair. nilmmns plays down the epic quality of the original and adds chugging rhythmics and sweetcured piano work for a lesson in divine repetition. mesumas feedback mix goes in for the dancefloor attack, not surprising for a gentleman whos previous work has seen releases on hardgroove and seventh sign. rolling toms and a booming kick meet aquatic vocal samples and spectral harmonicas, and will still please those partial to deeper sounds. last up to give because of me the rework treatment is meschi (lunar disko, lux, snuff traxx), who mixes his chicago influenced analogue stylings perfectly with the source material. stripped down crescendos build up to a euphoric drop, and meschis elated melodies bring another twist to this excercise in deep funk. because of me is one of those rare e.ps that works just as well in a non-club enviroment as it does on the dancefloor. with this warning shot, alex-ander will surely be capturing the ears of many in 2012 and beyond.

after their first hello on the 6 years hive compilation adriatique is back on hive audio with a full ep. the swiss- based duo recently released some remarkable pieces of music in the last months with amzing feedbacks and chart-postitions. the aint nobody ep shows a few typical adriatique sounds but has a darker touch. the original a-side is filled with some old school housebeats paired with heavy synth work, deep vocals & a rolling bassline which makes this track work for every time of the night or morning. atapys remix of aint nobody goes into the same direction but delivers his very own interpretation. he put on the atapy stamp through his characteristic synthmelodies. then we have another original track from adriatique. mind games is a heavy dance floor track with lots of content. pretty much electronic with melodies and spoken vocals which really put mind games on the map. overall all tracks are made for the club and will achieve their goal. dancing not only with the body but also with the soul.

with >dazed<, senking continues his exploration of the abysses of sound to create dark and gloomy atmospheres. the slow beats of the two tracks are accompanied by tender, harmonic melodies, but broken by nervous, unsteady tones which seem to be a warning against hidden dangers. the first track >the dance hall walk< also features a vocal sample by micheal cramm - a text which reflects the nervousness and excitement in anticipation of some thrilling things to come. like >tweek<, senkings last ep, >dazed< is not only concerned with the depths of sound, but also with the depths of the human psyche, where there is no escape other than music itself.

for uzuri 018 we return to one of our home grown artists – jitterbug. time has flown since his last release for us in 2010, but we have been quite eager to get some new material out from him for a while – and, based on feedback we have had, plenty of other people are keen to hear more from him too. both his raw winter and beaten trax eps were pretty popular releases for us and his dj appearances always create a stir, so we are pleased to bring you this, the arcane theory ep. the track sequencing on this record is pretty aggressive – front-loaded with the confrontational rise of the machines. a track that really lives up to its title, sounding like the production line at cyberdyne systems… all stomp and evil synths, like a bad mood e-dancer. fallout couldnt be further from that – relaxed and making no attempt at all to get in your face. itll win you over, though. just a nice, deep groove and a lovely, phased beat. could play it for hours… the whole of the flip is devoted to nomads, a chiming, acidic wander. nearly eleven minutes in length. the kicks never at the fore on this one – most of the action occurs at the mid and high frequencies – a resonant 303, lots of hi hats and, later, synths which expand on the eastern-flavour of the track title

finally the remixes of the celebrated jonsson/alter mod album is here – featuring no less than minilogue, donato dozzy and dorisburg (half of swedish duo genius of time). my god, that took some time. but no harm is done. all remixes has some kind uplifting and sunny trance mode to them, so as it turns out, this is actually the prefect spring release.minilogue starts out with the track kyrka 2.0 and ads both speed and length. donato takes on the track acapellan and does everything right. keeping the beautiful vocals of the original, donato adds bass line and new drums. the ep closes with another swedish contribution. alexander berg aka dorisburg from duo genius of time reworks djup house, and does it well. a solid bass line keeps us grounded to the dance floor while dreamy melodies and harmonies gently lift our serotonin levels. enjoy! before leaving you to the music we would like to thank minilogue, donato dozzy, dorisburg and last but not least, henrik jonsson and joel alter

hello berlin is the second release of samuel fach on tonkind. with his first one he made already a successful debut start. and for sure hello berlin should not stay behind. like the titel tells us, it is a tribute to his new home town. since last summer he is now a child of this wonderful city and this release suppose to be his first musical reflection to what he experienced there, so far. like on the first release, samuel fach shows his talent for a multicolored and very origin sound. all emotions have been bunched here, esspecialy in firts of may we got an essence of his affinity for happy melancholy. on the top... with a very cool kotelett & zadak remix of hello berlin, he got the right support from berlins men on the spot.

the collectable artifact imprint is taking a detour from incendiary and obscure disco re-issues into releasing even more obscure material. mysterious italian electro-wave band cristalli liquidi are featured here with a killer rare italo gem produced by tinto b. (also known for robots are un-american, re-released on italians do it better last year). inspired by a lcd soundsystem song tinto b. comes with this great record! we cant find the connection to the lcd soundsystem track that supposed to have been his source of inspiration, and actually we dont care... its some of the best recent italo disco we ve heard in a while! if you are big on italo vocals the a side is for you, if instead you dig deep electro disco but without the chanting, the dub version on the flip side will more than certainly send you into italo space. another hot artifact release from mr. bottin. tip! lirum larum is a brand new joint of >efdemin< and >rndm< who are better known as >pigon< when they team-up in the studio or behind the decks. always riding the thin line between house and techno with a twist for the obscure they decided to have their own imprint from now on. lirum larum will publish music of their own project, from friends and other partners in crime. in that regard the first release is the perfect prototype of what can be expected in the future. the 1st release features a composition of their own in two mindblowing interpreations. no other than >function< (dave sumner of the splendid sandwell collective) and >tobias.< (who released a totally underrated outstanding album in ostgut last year!) provide their interpretations of pigons track >kamm< (originally released on beatstreet in 2008).

billyonair back on the main labels. after his melodic release on mainrecords in 2011 billy now delivered some dub-influenced technotracks. we start with flying north. cold and spheric sounds are combined in this song but with the right amount of melodies. on a2 martin woerner remixed where am i. a nice pumping track which will hit the dance floors. on b1 we have klain main - strange chord-sounds meets nice grooves is the best way to discribe it. and last but not least the original of where am i which goes in the same direction like flying north - deep melodic dub-techno. for the digital lovers we have another (stripped down) version of flying north and a supercool remix of “where am i” by our buddies pascal feos & frank leicher.release comes in green-coloured vinyl.

any fan of drum & bass will know the name cyantific. having built a reputation as a leader of the new school d&b generation, jon stanley is now approaching a decade of releasing incredible music thats equally at home on the dance floor as it is on your ipod or in your car. last year saw cyantific unleash an incredible single for ram records, as well as bounce it / obey on his own self-titled cyantific record label. here we have the follow up to that release and its undoubtedly another exciting 12 inch, packed with plenty of cyantifics trademark energy. effortlessly combining sharp production skills with graceful musicality, you can always be assured that a new cyantific record is one to watch out for and this new single is certainly no exception. mirador takes the lead, opening with huge sweeping sound fx and a bouncing synth line that harks back to a classic ram sound. its not long before you notice cyantifics signatures though, as he brings in vocal snippets and washing pads that gradually build and grow before a monster bassline drops into the mix. this one undeniably straddles the line between restrained musical class and outright dance floor mayhem. on the flip side defect comes in at an infinitely more paranoid level. strings are infused with urgency and rolling breaks thunder along, dragging you kicking and screaming towards the inevitable drop. you wont be disappointed when it hits either, grinding bassline sections are juxtaposed with obsessive synths, all pulling you deeper into cyantifics musical world.

part 1/3! the treibgut sonder kompilation consists of tracks by artists which played at the treibgut parties over the last five years. the opening track is the perfect warm up for listening to this compilation. chris established an ideal symbiosis of a smooth bass and a warm vocal line quickening your appetite for more. a groovy funky filtertypen track as we love it. you can spot their hip-hop roots in the vocal parts. the tight kickdrum contributes the uplifting punch making this track defintely a dancefloor tune rather than a warm up. a groovy piece of house music with a spherical break and a deep bassline for our brothers and sisters. this is a slip- proof track with a catchy vocal – definetely causing fun. deep, warm and drifty – this track is putting you in the perfect mood for enjoying sunset in the meadows or warming up at the club. if you cant let go and relax with this track you are probably a hopeless case.
