after his well acclaimed soundtrack lp on hivern discs, brussels based producer lawrence le doux is returning to homebase vlek for his next offering. and what a project it has become: le doux, heads first, dived deep into the belgian national history of electronic music, and came up with a sampler covering the various fields the belgians have explored over the last 30 years. from digi dub over simple drum computer house to oneman industrial cassettes: host has it all.
lawrence kurt is back on wats records! another two great pieces of pure melodic techno who will set you lost in the space during crazy nights on the dance floor. both tracks are a trip between heavenly melodies and industrial drums.
the label from japan “florklang” has started up in 2016. now florklang is releasing the second vinyl by producer tk lawrence from brooklyn who debut from irish cavalier and played actively in dub pistols. the records include “they all float down here” that he expressed the influence of horror-core into creepy organ sound. also you could hear everywhere the taste of hip-hop and jazz from “tribute to where we come from” and “rap dinosaurs” in side b. the record includes 4 other various tracks that you could feel the new york abundant scene where he brought up. further more each track based on akai s950 and analogue machines when it has created.
“hermanio age” ep is driven by a bassline on which an elegant melodie is wandering. this ambient house tune wants to recall the spirit of nature, where you might hear the reflection of sunlight on water or the vast landscapes of deep space... the future is now, and here it is.
back down on my knees is a raw house cut combining a pounding bass drum and clever percussion reminiscent of a late 00 s new york sound with washed synths. i m amazed offers an ambient track lead by a simple piano interlaced with a field recording taken on a subway platform in new york. on the other side rubber jam is a tough hardware jam with a floaty arpeggiated synth line. here will be blood rounds the ep out relying on percussion to drive the track with breakbeat and a heavy bassline.
all of the tracks were created using a limited amount instruments, with a deliberate crossover of old synthesizers like a farsa organ or sequential circuits s pro-one and 90s technology like the roland jd-800. it is curious that lawrence says all his synths are half-broken, since the sounds he extracts from them are absolutely healing.
after an excellent new album “yoyogi park”, our favorite german producers made great remix package. one of the most respectable label giegling artist kettenkraussell made two version. one is dark deep house and one more is electronica style which reminds us jan janelik. our hero roman flugel remix is more uplifting and trippy, this is simply nice for the club. lake people remix is old school electro style but sounds very modern and playful. enjoy!
tk lawrence supplies four dancefloor tracks spanning from the stoned lurch of plastic crowns to the entrancing, snake charming level 5 dungeon. the ep is a hazy late night crawl through tk’s influences, from masters at work and new york jazz to the synthy soundtrack of his favourite atari arcade game marble madness.

ltd 2016 repress , with his first release on co-owned smallville-label lawrence aka peter m. kersten celebrates another tribute to more than 20 years of house music. wether it is the magic sound of nick holder or modern grooves of labelmates like melchior, pronsato and christopher rau- this ep is full of inspiration. beyond the club influences kersten was mainly driven by slow detroit jazz from the early 70ies and classical minimal music which make the colorful taste of this ep. with sorry sun lawrence invites to another adventure into the miracle of a cosy dancefloor letting only the music shine and the people close their eyes and smile. sorry sun, here comes the night.
magical, mystical and straight from the heart: after -until then, goodbye- and -a day in the life- the hamburg based art curator, dj and producer lawrence releases yoyogi park - the third part of an album trilogy for mule musiq in collaboration with artist stefan marx. the album explores unknowingly relations between his very own ambient productions, acoustic sound experiments and the driving force of the dancefloor. the artwork is showing a 360 degree view of the yoyogi park in the heart of tokyo, that stefan marx created for a fanzine for the printed matter nyc book fair in 2015.
PURPOSELY UNCERTAIN FIELD REMIXES (REDSHAPE, LAWRENCE, MAP.ACHE)
12" Vinyl D17.11.15
here comes the heavy remix package to lake peoples much praised debut album purposely uncertain field. with redshape, lawrence and map.ache three remixes were carefully chosen who would be able to bring their own distinctive sound to the table, but also treat the original tracks respectfully. redshape catapults -illuminated- into the orbit of the red planet, where it rotates in a trippy and hypnotic way. lawrence is drifting red but stays closer to the sun. the dial boss keeps things lighter and brings some bells and a steady bass drum to dinner and knows how to mesmerise. leipzig buddy and kann records co-founder map.ache shifts up a gear with his remix for cooping. twisted vocals and a bouncy bassline make his remix a darling on the club floor and rounds things consistently up.

it has been nearly two years since superpitcher released his equally lunatic and magistral album >kilimanjaro<: an eternity for club life, but not more than a stones throw for legendary producer axel schaufler, whose idiosyncratic mixture of yearning romance and hedonistic folly repeatedly stunned the public with its perceived timelessness.
almost four years after his last dial record single >miles< lawrence is back with another tribute to the sun. in the meantime he was still busy with a couple of releases for mule musiq, laid, smallville and dj kozes pampa imprint. his first mix cd >timeless< has been recorded lately for cocoon recordings. coming home to his own imprint prooves once more how modern house music should sound like: deep, moving and always surprising. >etoile du midi already travelled around the globe including tokyo, london, berlin and hamburg to finally being cut on vinyl after bringing the magic to all those lovely clubs worldwide

after this years releases on mule electronic and smallville lawrence is back on coowned laid imprint with a real house music series- never as always. as a favorite in carsten josts cd-r box the main title rise seemed to be one of the magic deephouse tunes wether it was at the dial allnighter residency panorama bar, the laid nights at cookies berlin or some fancy hangout at the labelchiefs appartment. now for the first time only on vinyl never as always (pt.1) comes up with two dub versions by sten who hasnt shown up since ages.
