with his debut release on co-owned smallville label stefan marx presents an exclusive poster collection coated inside a gatefold 12inch cover sleeve. giving the smallville shop and label a visual face since the very beginning stefan marx created hundreds of posters and partyflyers, painted the shopwindows regularly and set up every single record cover. now its the time for himself to release an extraordinary smallville issue in 12inch format. three posters (each has the size of 90 cm x 60 cm) including a first appearance of his band project the dead sea (aka stefan marx, rvds, lawrence and birte löschenkohl). smallville 25 is a collaboration with nieves, the zürich based publishing house of stefan marx and some all-time favorite contributors such as kim gordon, mike mills, mark gonzales and wesley willis. stefan is working with nieves since 2004, publishing books and zines on regular basis. the smallville release is dedicated to ariel pinks haunted graffiti, probably the best band in the world. (besides the dead sea watch out!)

this is first single cut from upcoming first collaboration album of minilogue & koss they have recorded at minilogue studio in malmo, sweden in the end of last year. then they brought back the recorded parts to own studio and put the each touch to the songs ... original of a side is minilogue manner hypnotic tech house but koss added his warm sounds. the result is a simple and timeless tune. on b side, new york deep houser dj qu remix is little bit more danceable than original. its for the fans of underground quality to lawrence to dj koze. the album is coming this autumn.

we are proud to present music from funckarma (djak-up-bitch, ad noiseam), ben milstein (touchin bass, pyramidtransmissions), phausis (rebel intelligence) and c. mantle (handsette, spacebar sentiments).
the release has been mastered by the highly regarded denis blackham of skye mastering and the audio quality is, as we wished, extremely high. the cutting is by mobineko - also excellent quality and not hyperloud. the 1950s influenced constructivist graphic design work is by lawrence clift.

the response to sven kacireks album the kenya sessions (pingipung 20) was overwhelming. the cooperation between the drummer-producer from hamburg and musicians from kenya links electroni- ca with african recordings in a unique, exciting fa- shion. it therefore has been and still is being praised in various scenes from techno to jazz to world mu- sic. the cd will receive the award preis der deut- schen schallplattenkritik in may 2011, category: nu and extreme. also friends of the label have been enthusiastic about e quality of this material. pingipung therefore re- leases a 10inch vinyl with reworks of the album in the end of may. lawrence, hamburgs most melancholy house artist, co-owner of the labels dial, smallville and laid dedicates himself to the track kayamba tuc tuc. he reduces the track to its essen- ce, without adding anything new, and edit full of wisdom with heartfelt warmth. taprikk sweezee is the best known moniker of the musician nikolai von sallwitz next to gizmog or fussel . taprikk sweezee builds his soul glitch beats with ease, and he is by the way the most convincing electronic performer we know these days. one single track was not enough for his mix. wed love to see him dance with all the kenyan musicians who play on his two originals of choice, kayamba tuc tuc and mariae. furthermore on this 10inch: a rework of paperflowers by sven kacirek himself, created in cooperation with samy de- luxe producer sebastian winkler. finally, less a bonus but maybe the secret highlight: the ex- clusive sven kacirek track takaye village!

dials sublabel laid comes up again with a double feature for true house music lovers. catalogue number 11 features tracks by uks juergen junker and our wellknown buddy lowtec. after playing together at the legendary sud electronic/ uzuri parties in london efdemin, lawrence and carsten jost fell deeply in love with with juergen junkers amazing dj & live sets and his wonderful productions. his own label neurythmics was like a secret treasure to be explored. followed by a lovely release on efdemins naif imprint he now enteres the laid zone with two deeply rooted house pieces. lowtec has always been a main influence of the dial/laid family and after his huge underground hit of last years workshop ep (laid07 with kassem mosse) he presents a dirty rhodes stomper to hit the house floors again. freaky alert!

cutz 3 features two youandme edits of lawrence vs.seth troxler and mod.civil.you will find on side a the edit of >cold flowers< from mod.civil which was original published on the german ortloff label (uwe01).>miles in aphrika< on side b is really simple but full of emotions and thats the most important thing of music. this track is a clash between lawrence - >miles<(dial 043) and seth troxler - aphrika(wolf + lamb 02).

since dial was established in 2000 there always has been the musical influence of isolee. from his first 12inches and his debut album >rest< on playhouse, rajko mueller was one main source of inspiration of all early dial artists- pantha du prince, efdemin, lawrence, carsten jost. more than that he became a lovely neighbour living close to the riverside of hamburg, a good friend whose pasta sauce would take a whole day to cook, and still a musician who would spend an extra long time to create his extraordinary pieces, drifting from version to version.

the third and final installment of spectral sounds document 12inch series offers four choice cuts from our era-defining, ryan elliott-curated label comp. kassem mosses remix of lawrences >divided< is a fiendishly tight slow-burner, fitting its ricky-ticky hi-hats and sharp-edged snares together like cogs in a swiss watch. the german producer twists parts around, testing various permutations, and rewards his patient listeners with a dusting of synthesized bliss at the end. heiroglyphic beings rust-flecked >got no place to go< traffics in humid ambience and smoggy gestures, evoking a post-apocalyptic dawn, distant bird calls and all. on the flip, spectral newcomer gadi mizrahis masterful >she only looks at you< hints at krautrock and tech-house while a thoughtful organ hums in the background, and kate simkos buoyant >zhivago< plays ping-pong with a bucket of electronic toms while a crowd-revving synth swell makes itself useful at just the right moment.

after his outstanding album debut christian naujoks is back withthe first of a 12 inch trilogy to be released on dial records. adoring the sound of pitched down pre-recorded strings dressed in deep, dub-styled echoes, east end boys is a song dedicated to to the raw and powerful sublimity of physical sounds. the song was created while naujoks was working on a live set for the akustic saloon at legendary berlin based berghain club in april 2009. overwhelmed by his flatmates live performance, lawrence decided to produce a remix of his favorite christian naujoks tune >bloom<, which appears on the flipside.

played by efdemin, ellen allien, karotte , lawrence, luciano, len faki, monika kruse, raresh, shinedoe... hailing from the southeast asian jungle, globalization, diaspora, and the unchecked native baboon explosion have all seriously endangered patuá, so we are afraid that poor patuá has very few brothers and sisters left in this world. lucky for you, as the vakant freak out bus has transversed the planet so many times now, we have indeed found (gasp) patuá and present patuá here for your delight and revelry. all it took to lure patuá onto the bus was some animal crackers and a 1989 game boy. truly momentous, yes we feel like noah. once onboard we immediately put patuá to work and this double a-side is the result. apparently house is big everywhere. smooth and warm, a-side macaista reaches out to the remaining patuá of this world and says, i am here, do not fret. if patuá reaches out with macaista, aa-side chapado is the reach around. much like his newfound masters, patuá is quite cheeky. thick and spacey chapado is the patuá mating call to all the remaining tribe members earthbound and beyond!
