after this years releases on mule electronic and smallville lawrence is back on coowned laid imprint with a real house music series- never as always. as a favorite in carsten josts cd-r box the main title rise seemed to be one of the magic deephouse tunes wether it was at the dial allnighter residency panorama bar, the laid nights at cookies berlin or some fancy hangout at the labelchiefs appartment. now for the first time only on vinyl never as always (pt.1) comes up with two dub versions by sten who hasnt shown up since ages.

after 10 vinyl only singles the dial sublable laid releases a selection of essential house music masterpieces for the first time on cd. since dial brought up its eccentric family business in 2000 the love for true house music was always one main inspiration. highly inspired by the us based music a label was needed to be the cosmopolitan sister of dial records. inviting protagonists like jus ed, keith wothy, patrice scott, fred p and many others from the united states to the legendary dial allnighters, exchanging tracks and ideas, a thousand dj sets worldwide, these where the issues who built laid records. with the detroit legend rick wade it began in mai 2009 - a very classical start. followed by tracks and 12inches by artists like john roberts, fred p, marcello napolitano, lowtec, christopher rau and many more laid fills a whole range from traditional to contemporary, from sweet to dark, from clean to rough. after three years now it s the time to present a compilation to show how deep, fresh and colorful the laid sound still is. house music is here to stay. forever..

dials sublabel laid comes up again with a double feature for true house music lovers. catalogue number 11 features tracks by uks juergen junker and our wellknown buddy lowtec. after playing together at the legendary sud electronic/ uzuri parties in london efdemin, lawrence and carsten jost fell deeply in love with with juergen junkers amazing dj & live sets and his wonderful productions. his own label neurythmics was like a secret treasure to be explored. followed by a lovely release on efdemins naif imprint he now enteres the laid zone with two deeply rooted house pieces. lowtec has always been a main influence of the dial/laid family and after his huge underground hit of last years workshop ep (laid07 with kassem mosse) he presents a dirty rhodes stomper to hit the house floors again. freaky alert!

for deep house lovers and beyond laid presents the first release by lawrence on dials sublabel. the 12inch features tracks inspired by the magic experiences in two of lawrences favorite venues. precious hall probably is the best club in the world- a wooden shelter in sapporo on japans hokkaido island. a gorgeous deep sound, the sweetest crowd and a lot of ulong high at the bar are the namegiven substances of the a-side. >dwelling on the dunes< was firstly tested at uri lahavs cheap friday club tel aviv in 2009. when laid co-founder dor levi mentioned that night it was the track who could play forever laid number 09 was born

after his highly inspiring releases on detroits mathematicsa, quintessentials (uk) and yore (germany), marcello napoletano is back with another adventure into house music. again his unique way of keeping a detroit / chicago sound freshly alive comes neither from the beloved ghost town nor from windy city - marcello napoletanos source of deep madness is based in lecce, a small countrysided village in italy. from here he spreads his deepness all over the world, representing the 8th outstanding issue of laid records.

from the great success of smallvilles first label compilation >and suddenly its morning< a new deephouse collective evolved: the smallpeople aka dionne, steinhoff & hammouda, jaques le bon and christopher rau. hanging at their record store, djing together and exchanging beats and samples made the lovely hamburg house gang around smallville owners julius steinhoff and just von ahlefeld (aka dionne) an new source of deepest club culture. due to their large output jus ed from bridgeport ny signed another 12inch of the smallpeople for his underground quality imprint to come out right after their amazing debut on laid recordings.

we are honoured to announce john roberts blame the next step in our current excursion into the world of djs, clubs, flashlights, boy meets boy and boy meets girl meets girl... john roberts is already a resident in our little universe but this time we decided to mix him up with the masters of deep desasters because his new record is so heavily haunted by the spirits and ghosts of those who started it all we could not resist. these to die for chords of blame shake up minds and hands as they just would be related and who is to blame if you feel the shiver of a down pitched wurlitzer organ hand played by john in new york and also back in berlin. watch out for john roberts upcoming album on dial hopefully ready this fall!

rick wade - first darkness the third release on our new born vinyl only sublabel that twists us arround these days like nothing else in this world. after the tremendous sucess of of ricks debut on laid 01 intelligence which had been a great kick off for our new imprint we couldt help but wonder: where we all in fact just dating the same person over and over again? but anyways here is just another wonderful record of one of our all time favourite producers mr. rick wade. as you can sense from the title rick wade once more employs some of his darker signature synths lines in the main track that provide a glorious sparkle of sublime athmosphere
