concept e25 is back! wax classic 15 sees concept e25’s third release on the label in the space of just a year! the demand has been overwhelming for more garage house hits with that added subtle, french flourish. we heard those cries, so here we have another slammin four track record from the man himself! the opening track of the ep, sing!, is destined for greatness this summer on dance floors everywhere. for me, this will be the go-to track of the record for most djs out there. on this track, concept e25 combines a pumping kerri style bassline with beautiful sustained chords, feel good vox cuts and the occasional sax line. proper hands-in-the-air vibes here! giving it takes the ep into a deeper realm, one that evokes images of late evening summer sunsets. however, the garage swing and signature concept e25 bass sound is still present. lies leads with moody chords before introducing a vocal that will be stuck in your head for a long time! again, we have a smooth sax line to accompany the vocal up to the track’s climax. rounding out this solid release is feel this way. here, the punchy bass hits are united with an acid line that bubbles underneath, before being unleashed halfway through the track in a warehouse-reminiscent burst of resonance.

limited 12 inch on the tiny don pedros label from nigerian disco supremo bobby i.g featuring two of his best and most sought-after tracks on one slab of loud-pressed vinyl. originally out on the impossible-to-find *bomp* album in 1980 (i.g.s one and only release sadly), these cuts are top-class examples of early nigerian boogie, both heavy ass-shaking floorfillers boasting some phenomenal funky guitar work and ultra-groovy bass. first up is the awesome collectors favourite *disco power* while on the flip we have the equally desirable funk monster *funk ina ghetto*. totally brilliant - dont miss!

boston bun is back for 2015 with just for freaks, which is part 1 of a series of three eps dedicated to unrestrained underground clubbing. just for freaks 1 stays in the chicago house revival that boston bun established these past 2 years. the right balance between deep and ghetto music. a-side pleasure is a track that you can play very late in the darkest clubs. it drives us with unpitched voices and unleashed tr which succeed to a cut-up bass. b-side levitate flirts with lovely strummed music, almost nostalgic, interrupted by an harmonious and bouncy bassline. the lyric *you wanna play house some more?* sounds like the anthem of a neverending party. the vinyl ep includes a download code.

after many uk based producers, its time again for some homeboys. elvis is a young dj and producer from zurich/switzerland and his humney ep is his first full release to date.humney is that catchy house tune with a touch of the 90s house sound, with a great bass line, sexy vocals (from the lovely choklate) and solid beats. the up and coming palace (hot haus records) adds a rougher vibe with his remix, but its still humney. the way is taking a deeper direction and shows that elvis cassetta is definitely a name to watch out for!

limited hand stamped 7 inch, we can t remember the last time we came across a 7- single of straight-up deep house. certainly, it s a novelty, though there s little novel or cheeky about the two tracks showcased on this diddy, coloured vinyl release from spain s minuendo label. 2deepsoul s a-side, -home-, is effortlessly melodious - a warm, rich and enticing blend of shuffling rhythms, swirling chords and the kind of blissfully electronic melodies that make you want to dance with your eyes shut. there s a more organic and quietly soulful feel about owen jay and melchior sultana s flipside effort, -deserted-. blessed with a delicious double bass line, bespoke keys and a whisper of motor city techno (in terms of the electronics, at least), it s a sublime chunk of sensual deepness.

a couple of years ago, the young italian producer known with the name of shinoby got in touch with parris mitchell and started collaborating with him. in a very short time one of the tracks they wrote together was released along the remaster of -all night long-on wicked bass, and another one he wrote on the juke joints vol. 2 ep on deepmoves. istheway is the name of the label he founded to release the music he has been producing in the shades of verona, focusing on the music itself and not wasting time and efforts on fancy, superfluous stuff. on the first release of the label, his lively and solid dancefloor oriented tracks has been remixed by the analogue cops (restoration records) and the detroiter mgun (underground resistance) who have further modeled an essential combination of late night cuts with their trademark basement edge. vinyl only!

after five years of throwing parties under the name green villain, the label green village was founded in 2014. their second release, come through for me features a single from new york city based dj/producer, policy. following his two recent albums on 100% silk in 2013, and rush hour in 2012, this will be his last release for 2014. the flip features a more dance floor friendly remix by london based, thefft which focuses on predominant percussion and off beat bass stabs.
