michigan resident d marc cantu serves up his next album on the ever-excellent mos recordings on june 11th 2012. though essentially a house and techno producer, american cantu often goes further than most, calling on a world of influences to ensure his jacking productions are as far away from standard as possible, yet still do damage on the right dancefloors as have previous eps on this label, nation and crème organization.

white label/stamped repress! the second release on the m>o>s record label could have been part of hollands rich techno-history, if released when the tracks where made. dating back as early as 1993, these two tracks come straight out of a plastic bag full of sa90 tapes in ross154s bathroom (thats where he plays his music loud) and a cardboard box filled with cassettes rediscovered while moving aroy dee into his way too expensive spacious loft in the historical centre of amsterdam.

the first track >once u loved<, is warm and emotional, with slowly evolving strings topped with mysterious whispering vocals, reminding to older blake baxter material. 2nd track, >tears< is a fierce and sexy chicago-house influenced dancetrack, with a solid baseline, steady beats and lush keys.<br 7>first track on the b-side is >lift me high<, a downtempo dreamlike analogue house classic with haunting strings and vocals of miss salvador, merging larry heard and g-strings with an italo-disco kind of atmosphere. last on this ep is >soul spark<, an atmospheric techno track with the raw energy of early relief-releases and the psychedelia of dance mania.
