the mutant frequencies ep is the first transmission from music that moves - shinedoes new label focussing entirely on her own productions.

here it is ! the long-awaited new lp from former dubtribe soundsystem shaman sunshine jones far from basking in bay area bliss, sunshine has been busy redefining his organic approach to music making and sound synthesis into a rich and textured fresh take on the house blueprint - best realised in his elaborate & ever-evolving live shows. assembling these improvised pieces into a cohesive whole, that might well just be the best vinyl based representation off a full night out you re likely to hear this year. from the emotive opener to last year s anthemic fall in love, not in line closer, home represents the fluid but refined garden of sound that s grown from dubtribe s rich 90 s foundation. the artwork on this splendidly presented gatefold lp is a photograph of sunshine performing live at the garden party in san francisco by the holy mountain, the collage is done by sunshine and the design is by fernando_graphicos. accompanied by detailed track notes, with all equipment used to make the record alongside sonic schematic. man and machine aligned for total transcendence ! single gatefold lp

through the years intacto records became a household name. the label was founded in amsterdam in 2004 under the collaborative genius of shinedoe and 2000 and one. it was launched as a platform for the by then strongly emerging amsterdam scene supporting a pack of local artists shaping a fresh distinctive sound which took over the electronic scene by storm. intactos defining sound included many styles and its catalogue is a melting pot of influences of which house and techno are the key elements. after running intacto records successfully for 14 years, shinedoe and 2000 and one have joined forces on their very first collaborative release. a ten year old unreleased 2000 and one track world of acid have been played out by shinedoe for years and received ecstatic feedback from the clubbing crowds. convincing him to release this timeless tune to scorch the dancefloors worldwide, shinedoe was inspired to do a remix. in return 2000 and one remixed her track acidploitation which she recently produced. acidploitation ep is the culmination of two dutch legends, defining their brilliant take on music once again

phuture-t dials up dub and drumfunk from the samples of greenleaf’s new orleans influenced track, forward motion. the beats are more broken and the effect delays are longer. the signature interview recording has been chopped and used as downbeats on the progression changes.
with melodic and rolling percussion, earl grey creates a cheerful vibe to start the ominous maze remix. the intro leads straight into the body of the track when the contrabass becomes the dominant instrument making the tone tougher. the drum breaks transition through several change ups and syncopated edits.
metro gives mhc a new treatment with extra field recordings and an extended break down. the jungle influence is stronger with bigger, funkier subs. classic break beats are layered with sound effects and noises all supporting the main rhythm of the bassline.

nice price deal !!! supported by dj paulette/david guetta, francesco farfa, glimmer twins, kolombo, koma & bones, mason, riva starr, the scumfrog and many more... on one of his many trips to germany playing alongside marc romboy, tommie sunshine dropped by the studio of 45 rocks and heard this tune they had been working on. 20 minutes later he had the lyrics and 30 minutes more they were put to tape sending him and marc out the door in less than one hours time. the track first saw the light of day in its original form on tommie s ultra rock remixed in america and has now been transformed into a powerhouse package for every possible taste.

any disco dj worth their weight in vinyl knows the name donnell pitman, and until now this has been mostly due to his highly sought after work of the late 70s and early 80s. renewed interest in donnell has reached critical peak over the past few years, fueled by red greg’s feature of donnell’s seminal “love explosion” on joey negro’s under the influence vinyl compilation series and chicago’s numero group putting out long forgotten, unreleased boogie bangers “burning up” and “taste of honey” in 2015.
it was this refreshed enthusiasm that caught the attention of producer kumar mcmillian of chicago-based disco ensemble wings of sunshine. kumar’s group was looking for another vocal collaborator following their 7” debut release on star creature records. a casual introduction led to an informal studio session between the two culminating in a modern disco masterpiece.

legendary nyc dj / editor danny krivits story in contemporary dance music is a long and storied one. dannys got to be one of the hardest working men behind the decks right now with an international rep and dj schedule truly befitting of his time spent making us dance over the last 45 (!) years. it makes perfect sense then, that one of the most seminal disco labels of all time would call upon mr. ks sharp editing skills when reappraising some of the jams from their extensive catalogue. tk disco is the label in question here and they ve let danny loose on a pair of dance-floor burners that all disco heads will be familiar with.

decoy07 takes a deeper turn with the third act ep. miss sunshine (kms, monocline, tictactoe) has been working flawlessly in the studio for the past six years and this ep is no exception. third act is a heavy workout of riding bells and an old-school synth line which grooves its way through percussion builds and changes. intimidate is deeper and darker with a chugging groove and twisting effects growing into a more graceful melody. ground loop captures miss sunshines more ambivalent mood with a haunting groove that is perfect for those basement techno moments. markus suckut (figure, sckt)supplies the remix with his interpretation of ground loop, taking it more minimal and stripped back but maintaining the groove in his own familiar style.
