desert island broadcast, das neue album von mirror people – dem projekt des portugiesischen musikers und produzenten rui maia – erscheint am 26. september auf vinyl und allen digitalen plattformen. begleitet wird die veröffentlichung von der single any color u like, die auf den am 9. mai vorgestellten teaser-track million questions folgt. maia beschreibt das album als „eine radioübertragung von einer einsamen insel – einem imaginären ort, an dem verschiedene stile und referenzen aufeinandertreffen und koexistieren“. es vervollständigt eine trilogie, die mit voyager (2015) und heartbeats etc. (2022) begann.

(not very mystical of course for those who know the history of detroit techno. unique track from a unique project... and there are not many projects with tribe in its name. their release on retroactive is one detroit techno collector items). one of those records that get you through the day. classic!!! re-issue on the clone aqualung series with new artwork.

liebhaber der italo-disco-musik werden cyber people als einen der wichtigsten acts in ihrer szene betrachten. der space-synth-sound, den cyber people mitte der 80er jahre einbrachten, wurde durch ihre 1985er veröffentlichung -void vision- hervorgehoben, die sowohl in europa als auch in südamerika ein hit wurde. darüber hinaus ebneten cyber people den weg für acts wie koto, laserdance und hipnosis, um nur einige zu nennen. cyber people lösten sich zwar 1988 auf, hinterließen aber eine reihe wichtiger italo-disco-platten.
