maeve is the record label run by three close friends, mano le tough, the drifter and baikal. maeve 04 is the drifter s debut on the label, and his first original music since late 2012 for permanent vacation. again showcases a tougher side to his productions. the again ep consists of 2 tracks, both aimed firmly at the dancefloor. again is a rolling 10 minute trip, with some twists and turns along the way. blocks with its tougher, ahem, blockier beats and soaring synths is a more upfront affair.

if you are in to dreamy piano sounds and poppy vocal cuts this is one to check out. beautiful drifting melodies combined with 90s pop like vocals and rolling beats. the singers on this release know how to catch your attention. especially the track on the flip >put me down< has potential to become a true radio anthem.

im jahr 1990 fand in der ansonsten typisch provinziellen kleinstadt bracknell am rande der westlondoner vorstädte zum ersten mal die mittlerweile berüchtigte wöchentliche sonntagabendparty „shave yer tongue“ statt, auf der koryphäen der dj-szene wie alfredo und andrew weatherall auflegten. auf diesem musikalischen ausflug der beiden gründer der party, scott james und christopher hayne, die 1995 unter dem namen syt auftraten, gibt es die treffend betitelte deep drift ep: vier treibende, geschmackvolle progressive house- und trance-stücke, die ebenso geeignet sind, ein wurmloch in raum und zeit zu öffnen, wie sie einen dancefloor in interdimensionale glückseligkeit versetzen.
