echovolt is thrilled to finally bring you the work of the first greek producer on their growing reissue catalog offering two ultra-rare recordings that lived on the shelf for exactly two decades. the then 16-year old starcount recorded those two stripped-down cuts straight to dat tape in his bedroom studio in athens during the late 90s between cutting classes and sailing in the aegean sea. despite his young age both calma and jeraldine showcase top notch production skills with solid arrangements featuring the typical vocal samples of the period underlined by hypnotic melodies, jazzy chords and a densely populated pallet of drum hits. it is most likely that the above mentioned tracks might be the earliest detroit influenced productions ever made in greece around that time! suitable for night cruising and any kind of rides with friends and family!
all track are written and produced by alessandro sensini and carlo battistini

constant development in stagnating musical landscapes is the key to remain catchy as an artist these days. adrian martin & eleminal are always yearning for progress. >la calma<, their new release on miniload gives you a listen on their growing sophistication. an adroit beat conduction married to a sneaky bass giving birth to a tremendous and powerful musical moment, peppered with hidden hooks and a savory break. >la calma< is smoother than previous releases by adrian & eleminal without condemning a certain roughness of preceding collaborations. tom clark (highgrade records) follows that footprint, though adding a more frontal bass paired with a dreamy almost breathed on jazzy feel melody construction. miniload artists doppelt gemoppelt are redefining >la calma< in a straighter harmonization. no vanilla - just a clear and well structured body, adding cushy noises and warm imbedded waves.
(polysom official reissue, 180 gram pressing) originally custom pressed in 1980, rosa de sangue is the closing chapter of the amazing recife psychedelic movement that flourished and centred around the work of lula côrtes, beginning in 1973 with the release of satwa, and the creation of abracadabra lulas loose art/music/design collective. i want to close all of this with a golden key and a golden key it is.

already making waves with a series of releases and remixes for labels such as hottrax, true romance, we are the brave, nice age, art | werk, and forthcoming music on dj haus’ hot haus label, 9th house brings his astrologically charged house to this special vinyl only release. ‘keeping me up’ emits huge rays of sunshine, with its piano driven house chops and soulful vocal licks. it’s of no surprise, then, that the likes of midland, dan shake, peach and william djoko are already playing and supporting this one. on the flip, ‘the calm of libra’ channels early 90s break-beat house, coming over like a modernized nu groove track, the aficionados will appreciate the musical sentiments here for sure!
