phantasma volume 2 by dinky, matthew styles and pier bucci is out now. this lovingly designed record is produced by three artists we really like and and it is just grea they decided to work with us again. matthew is damn sure one of our favourite producers and pier s skills are nothing short of his. on the last release we made with them, they d worked together as oblique strategies on balld inc. for phantasma volume 2 pier wrote a track on his own, highlighting the noble beats he is known for and expanding the explicit cadenced patterns with a chord phrase that leads the structure to perfection. dinky whose work was released on such labels as cocoon, traum, vakant and of course on her own imprint horizontal composed the other side together with matthew and you can sense their familiarity at once. the two arranged >choises< carefully, sleek and free of any kind of hubris. well, this attitude is hart to find these days and their versed piece may calm your stressed out ears both in the club and at home

one of technos most diverse and prolific producers ‘mark broomis back again to demonstrate the definition of dub techno. this is a purist record through and through that unashamedly harks back to the classic chain reaction and basic channel sound, something that the world and its djs crave endlessly, and rightly so. all four cuts sail forth in calm warmth and steady bass, massive reverbs and echo are worked intermittently lifting everything upwards like a strong cosy breeze. the listener is forcibly bounced up and down in a gentle fashion, (we would expect nothing less than gentlemanly behaviour from broomer) and through proper application of decibels a full cellular body massage can result. this is essential dub for the techno journeyman out there. not only great to listen to, but also a helping hand with your exfoliation routine.

the debut record of ritmolider kaleidoscope is a traditional studio work with live performance and classic analog sound. being in the era of nu disco and re edits the author has tried to find his own way of making music based on traditional methods of performance. and hes got a beautiful symbiosis of instrumental improvisations and electronic melodiousness. at the begining of the record theres a superb remix by the beat broker - deep, groovy synth disco, highly recomended for dancefloor! the second track is a journey into obscure psychedelic funk with lots of improvisations and atmospheric tunes....a pity so sweet percussions are added so late. b2 tonight at the discotheque will carry you away by the real soviet disco vibe. a beautiful arp solo softly flowing through amazing effects and acoustic drums focused on free played funky basslines. the original version of kaleidoscope is also a very interesting one. a mood of this composition is changed all the time. the first seconds of the track you hear a tender melodic solo which makes you feel calm and relaxed, then you get the groove coming from an agressive arpeggio and dinamic percussion. soon this feeling gets interrupted with a sudden slap bass impromtu playing together with a synthy accompaniment, and it turns into another feeling, and so on... this really reminds of kaleidoscope effect!
