the creative swing alliance consist of the 2 producers pablo valentino and steven-j. pablo is responsible for the faces records label & his recent subdivion called motor city drum ensemble. steven-j released records on compost records, soultronik & jazzmin and played double bass for the japanese jazz band >sleepwalker<. they both come from the city of strasbourg fr, shared turntables & droped parties for more than 10 years together. the concept for the csa project was very simple: they locked themselves for one week in pablos attic to work 7 days on 7 tracks all named after the days of the week. bonzzaj records selected for this 12inch their 3 favourite tracks: on >monday< pablo and steven-j created a heavy opener for their project. bumpy they riding their mpc with a deep diving bass and wonderful synths. simbad turned the original >monday< into a heavyweight soulful dancefloor filler mashed with good old west-london broken beats. an essential dj weapon! naturally within the week you can hear some different moods while other friends/artists where passing in the studio...for example on >thursday<, when kira neris joined the alliance to create a spaced-out and captivating disco journey with a wonderful soul sample. last but not least, >saturday<: dusty old jazz records and beat generation hip hop for the b-boys and b-girls! raw! strong stuff for fans of bullion, onra, the linkwood family, etc! limited edition... so you better watch out

the second release of >vibes - new&rare music< brings rick wilhites long time friend and fellow 3chairs producer theo parrish to the table. theo gives us an adventurous ride like only theo can. starting out on a blues tip, this track morphs into a string laden jazz affair without missing a beat. epic stuff!
on the b-side its a one-way ride to chicago with ricardo miranda blasting on the car stereo. this relative newcomer, who has recorded for hour house is your rush and vega records, really outdoes himself on >urbanism<. as we cruise into town, heading straight to lakeshore drive, this track kicks off so soulful, yet so raw! it reminds us of the best days of prescription underground, on which this easily could have been released. addictive.

2nd single cut from kuniyuki new album >walking in the naked city< (mule musiq cd 13). this kuniyukis 12inch version of night forest is more playful and mixable than original version of album. this kind of musical deep house sound is a rare on these days. our favorite african artist mr raoul k made the interesting trippy afro taste minimal house remix.

up next here at dirt crew recordings is one of our favourite producers and biggest talents in the house scene these days. jay shepheard gained much respect with his fantastic releases and remixes for compost, diynamic, buzzin fly and most recently on his own retrofit label that just saw its launch a few months ago and has been taking off since then. dry percussive house music with a cool disco feel to it and great 80s string hooks. nothing less is offered on this new ep for our label, 4 tracks that go down the same smooth path into house heaven… your dancefloors will love it !

space ranger comes from the stars. the trio based in stuttgart have a wide experience and an unlimited love for music. in their previous disguises they have done remixes for the likes of kool & the gang, sugababes and kurtis blow, but now they are absolutely focused on this new project. space is the place. he three members their dj careers in late 80s / early 90s and they are strongly influenced by the deep club sound of those days. combining sophisticated production skills, a huge range of analogue equipment and a long-term experience of what works on dance floors around the world they know how to move the crowds. by accessing to samples taken from a huge collection of old-school dance, disco and soul records they are creating the distinctive and sophisticated house and disco sound of today

we have never done a project like this before where the artists choose all the remixers themselves. but for the crazy italoboyz album >bla bla bla< we found ourselves not really knowing what to do. so instead of forcing our own ideas for remixers we went back to the source and let the artists run wild on the a&r. marco and fede commissioned all the remixers themselves. the producers they chose are a very diverse bunch and the vinyl 12inch takes a sampling of the best material from two very big underground names. on the a-side das kraus duo turn it a super jackin yet also very haunting rendition of >oh mio dio.< it sounds like pitched up chicago house meets demon days. on the b-side old school master dandy jack turns in one of the oddest records ever on mothership with some unusual sound design, voices and semi-dischordant note runs. super weird for the super weird! whatever you think of this odd lot no one can deny these remixes definitely carry the indistinguishable mark of that ever so quirky duo, the italoboyz
