jah cure is one of the most influential reggae acts today, with hits in the real roots and caribbean pop formats. known for his iconic hooks and street-poet verses, his songs contrast gritty tales of urban struggle with sun-kissed romantic ballads. in the tradition of jamaican reggae, his stories bridge social commentary with uplifting hopefulness. there is playful spirit to his music that has endured the real life challenges of prison, probation and redemption. *the cure* is his seventh album and the fourth for vp records and presents the thoughts, feelings and contradictions of a true reggae artist. anticipation for the album is especially strong in jah cures touring markets where and in support of the release he will tour europe and south america in the summer of 2015. a music video for *made in california* will be serviced to terrestrial and online media outlets to support the album launch internationally.

fish go deep return with the deepness on their new imprint go deep records..the orignal is solid late night rhodes groover with a soul and emotion.. great dennis ferrer remixes.. a truly timeless release
first vinyl record for this new techno label. dark, hypnotic, a modern techno. the original track is signed by a new artist, but with clear ideas: darkcell aka adriano giliberti, he creates a journey of sounds that come from far away, rhythms that never stops, with devastating and anxious atmosphere. the remix of markus suckut (stroboscopic artefacts, figure spc, etc..) is in his style, sounds that go up very slowly, everything seems to come out from under the ground and a series of clap you wake up from hypnosis. in the remix of octave (nachtstrom schallplatten, etc..) sounds are more open and the rhythm is more definite, its hypnotic but his style always goes to the techno dancefloor. the first release: you already understand the high level of techno!

ltd repress! from another mind, originally known as a series of eclectic dance events in southern germany, now released its third record by shdw & obscure shape. die weiße rose shares a similar hypnotic & atmospheric vibe with its predecessors, which have already gained great support worldwide. having released three eps, from another mind has proven itself to be a label worth keeping an eye on. the record pays homage to munich - vinyl only.
modern obscure music welcomes the sun god for the anticipatory organization. this is a fantastically powerful three track ep to move the body and the mind. it is the work of a distinctive producer who focuses on powerful rhythms and ear catching melodies.
for the sun god, music has a healing power and the club has the ability to bring people together. he is respectful to the history of electronic music and where it comes from, but still pushes forward with his spiritually rooted yet technologically aware sound.
the sun god is jamal moss aka the hieroglyphic being. therefore, this is actually his return to the label. he remixed pedro vian s dancing hindus as the hieroglyphic being, which was released on mom001.
defled’s latest work, hacking the sun, for modern obscure music, is a compete record that evokes balearic island landscapes. a musical trip that is defined by placid and bucolic moments to the euphoric and chaotic. according to defled, the concept of the 12” “revolves around the movement of the sun and the information of the light.

after various releases on weevil neighbourhood, two of the label’s key figures, anthone, who made a first appearance in 2012 with the “aloof” ep and “double dub / clear view” as well as “breath/lungs” in 2014 and katsunori sawa, who debuted with the “lr” ep in 2011 together with yuji kondo as steven porter and later released “the two legs” (2013) as well as “holy ground” (2014) as a solo artist, team up as bokeh for their first collaborative outing dubbed “peace obscured”. the release comes as a 12” ep combining both artists trademark musical vocab - industrial dub and noise influenced techno - resulting in a three tracker of relentlessly driving bottom end rave. black vinyl, limited edition, artwork by lee noble (no kings records/ bathetic).
for more than ten years dimi ange lis and jeroen search have been working together to demonstrate just how they think serious techno should be executed. their respective careers as individual artists are equally accomplished, but as a pair they have shown a fierce dedication to just the kind of aesthetic principles that define chronicle as a label, and so it gives us great pleasure to present an expansive ep of six tracks that tunnel deep into the bowels of late night, uncompromising techno.
manicured noise were manchesters prime art/post-punk-funk act. originally released as ctrue3 in 2006 on cd, this new restructured edition features superb new original artwork by highly regarded sardinian collagist/artist andrea floris.
the >murmur ep<, limited edition of 500 units in coloured vinyl, the sight belows followup to 2008s full-length glider, is a bracing step forward for the reclusive seattle-based artist, comprising two new songs and a notable remix. the sight below uses the murmur ep as an opportunity for expansion, turning up the contrast on his silky tones to expose an even more deeply textured sound with a powerful emotional effect. on the >murmur ep<, the textures are denser, courser—closer to kevin shields jagged oceans of guitar than gliders wisps of reverb — and the beats are meatier, funkier even. the sight below comes close to recording a real dance track with >murmur<, slipping a skipping syncopation and an honest-to-god bass line into a roiling cloud of distortion. >wishing me asleep< incorporates bits of strings into the mix for a touch of cinematic melancholy.
incl cube guys & balearic soul remix!! the cube guys remix is the musical equivalent of someone you know and love transforming from a sweet natured, gentle chap to a bit of a lunatic after an eye opening stag do in estonia. tracey ks vocal is still at the forefront of the track, but the floating, relaxed melodies of previous versions of this track have been replaced with sharp, stabbing synths, fiercely driving basslines and maic percussion. make no mistake, this is an epic remix. the breakdown is an absolute hair raiser - techy, dirty and uplifting - and as the vocal kicks back in, anywhere this drops will erupt in a sea of raised hands and stomping feet.
