maeve is the record label run by three close friends, mano le tough, the drifter and baikal. some years ago, mano and the drifter ran a clubnight in berlin called passion beat. aera was their guest a couple of times. its very fitting that aera now joins us for maeve 06. aera s original you know juno comprises of warm arps and a dark hypnotic bassline over a jacking house beat. on first hearing the track, the drifter was keen to do a remix. his interpretation is a dark take on the original, boosting the bassline, adding a driving beat and pushing the drama to high levels.

the untold stories: protagonist series. records dedicated to the stories of some venerable but unsung historical figures. the first of the protagonist series was created by sil, and gives a glimpse into the spirit of the first such figure: tadeush konrad. sil, the pseudonym of kirill sylantev, who is more widely known for his work in the duo easy changes, now begins solo productions. for the untldpro series his work dedicated to tadeush konrad is of confident vibe, with much swing and rich with soulful flashes from times past. this work is then remixed by ztrl and hubble. first comes the ztrl remix, with energetic bass and a wealth of tones interrelating to great hypnotic effect. then on the b-side hubble s remix, an extended work, a floating journey of warm organic sounds, concludes the story and the spirit of tadeush konrad.

this ep was made during a period where my whole outlook on everything was transforming. the voidloss project started as an investigation, i was conducting a lot of research and study on the mind, the occult, on different thought modes, and the voidloss project represented this. the idea was about a leap in to the void. a leap of abandonment into the dark, with total acceptance, total commitment.

amulett 002 is dedicated to trouw amsterdam. makam pays his respect to this institute with 3 distinct tracks. sharing his vision on what trouw meant, by embodying the energy and spirit the trouw was infamous for.

entitled narita, the release is inspired by, and dedicated to, japan, and the tracks are a collage of all the experiences and emotions the producer has picked up there whilst on his travels. this release was also due to be the 44th on the label (which has now made it up to number 67) and so has clearly been cooking for a long time. once again it proves the man behind it to be focused on stripped back and hypnotic grooves, shadowy textures and subliminal synths that are abstract and truly heady. up first, sleepless is a spooky and hypnotic techno roller with icy pads and rubber drums that roll on like a haunted midnight train burrowning deep into your brain. ebisu is even more reserved, with just a light, skipping kick and tinkling, glassy keys suspending you in a wide open space of abstract atmospheric soun d. on th e flip side, mountain splitter is more urgent and immediate, with nervy pads this time racing alongside woodpecker precision and supple drums. it s heady stuff that really distracts you from the world before finally trance is a wash of grainy white noise and groaning synths that soundtrack a word deep down in the depths of the ocean. svreca is a master of getting deep inside both body and brain and does so in different but captivating ways with all four of these cuts.

we are back with the 4th episode of the seed series. this is ep was born from the recent collaboration between deepbass, head of informa records, and nax_acid owner of the label. the record is a deep voyage between abstract and distorted atmospheres and pulsing analog and acidic sound all blend in with 4/4 and broken techno beats, taking you to an imaginary garden of the hesperides, nymph garden, inspired from the greek mythology. hesperis, erebus and nyx, nymph of the night and darkness, will accompany you through the journey across the ravishing garden, guiding you through the elegance of a splendid dark night enlighten by a new moon.

mathias schaffhäusers fourth collection of remixes will be released in march and april 2015 in an exceptionally lavish way. two vinyl eps, each with an additional cd, will be released 4 weeks apart. the vinyls will feature the clubbiest tracks, which also will be on the cds (some of them in uncut original versions), flanked by a handful of more subtle and experimental tunes, making 17 tracks in all.

milton wrights perfect deep soul classic *keep it up* has always been a top shelf record, everything about it is almost flawless! whether it is miltons silky vocal delivery, the incessant guitar driven back beat or the total space funk vibe of his omnipresent arp-2600 synthesizer this record has it all. originally released on tk discos more soul and funk orientated alston label which was home to many legendary artists and records, this 1975 sunshine classic never fails to make people move. a classic rare groove indeed. *the silence that you keep* takes up side-b, a jazzy, flute driven love song that again features milton s perfect voice and some fantastic arrangement. a real gem of a record, with the original 45 changing hands for over £100 a time in used condition. this is the first time *keep it up* has been re-issued in its original 45 rpm format with the original alston label artwork. it has been re-mastered, re-pressed and made available again with the permission of tk disco / alston records, miami florida, usa.

2014 was a big year for scott moncrieff aka thatmanmonkz. not only did his own label shadeleaf become firmly established he dropped brilliantly received releases on both kolour ltd and here on d.o.g.

the dark acid series returns for a fourth outing, with four of our favorite producers of the moment. the series was started for artists that we think have been exploring and developing the outer reaches of acid house and techno. previous artists who have contributed to the series include torn hawk, jamal moss as ibm (insane black man), dungeon acid, claire, golden teacher, twins, tzu sing and tuff sherm. for this one we have gathered together an exciting group who have really stretched out and contributed some outstanding trax.

musicalitys second release is a remake of the gil scott heron b-side *the klan*, featuring allan barnes formerly of the blackbyrds, and craig huckaby. the a-side has a wind and keys driven retro-funkiness, aided by latin percussion. kemeticjusts remix on the b glues everything together into a slightly faster house-tempo, increasing the propulsion, and likely causing lively dancing to break out. it was mixed by pirahnahead at united sound systems, and mastered by the legendary herb powers. musicality is the brainchild of producer/dj seth dedikate carter.

bassa clan are a mysterious duo from bologna (italy). the project was born on a foggy night in the countryside. akai mpc 2000 and a radar oriented to detroit were the basic ingredients. raw, analog, roots devoted. from techno to house and viceversa. only vinyl - hand stamped - from our soul to yours.

armando gallop, the legendary chicago producer & dj whose career was tragically cut short by his death in 1996 left behind a legendary reputation as one of the windy citys finest. having released on seminal labels such as, trax, musique, westbrook and his own warehouse imprint, armando brought his own rough hewn brand of machine funk and acid to the table and the dance music world has been much better off for it since.

this 10 inch contains 2 unreleased vinyl versions in extended mixes that can make your day. the merits of van bonns releases on telrae, trapez and on van bonn records you can find in his new release -unbound-. the attractiveness of repetition has made its way into this ep... and it was a good choice. we kick off with -king-, a track which is a cross breed of a stubborn beat and a dub techno feeling showcasing a melodic intermezzi that flies in and out with a mind of its own. more minimalistic than most of the tracks you know from him, it includes unexpected half baked sounds you would not expect from van bonn. on the other hand the epic 10 minute monster -distinct- is a real dub techno giant and a soundtrack at the same time... with beats that take you by the hand.

jeroens commemorating his roots by re-releasing a selection of search records from days gone by. each has been remastered in such a way that it retains its authentic and timeless energy. pressed onto fresh vinyl, this limited series contains some of the finest search tracks ever to be put out, handpicked by jeroen himself. in light of that it might be easily forgotten that jeroen search has been creating techno since the early nineties. and that he ran one of the most influential labels around back then: >search<. between 1996 and 2001 it was home to a host of releases, many from jeroen himself. released on vinyl and without any reprints, they ve since hidden in the record collections of a select few.

caul is the new album from last harbour. based in the northern english city of manchester, last harbour play music with a dark, gothic heart yet their songs are always beautiful and transcendent. after working with producer richard formby (wild beasts, spacemen 3, ghostpoet) on two previous albums, the band took time out after touring to build their own studio in 2013. this new album was recorded in that self-created space over a year between 2013-4 and bears testament to a patient and detailed recording process that allowed time for experimentation and careful arrangement.

another classic from the west end archives! forrrces keep on dancin from 1982 was a huge record across the board from bronx block parties to the paradise garage in nyc and dj harveys moist nights in london town, its popularity was bolstered by a fierce francois k dub mix on the b-side that stripped the record right back to it s most basic elements with a healthy dose of reverb assisted psychedelia thrown in for good measure! this killer cowbell led boogie jam has always been a big hit with disco freaks and continues to sound fresh some 30+ years later even making its way into veteran uk dj and music historian sean ps 100 boogie essentials 1980-1984 list. high praise indeed!re-mastered from original tape transfers, re-pressed and made available again for 2015 in conjunction with west end records, new york city.

roadside edits are back, their first 12inch was a very limited pressing, and it sold out faster than moonshine back in the prohibition days, so they have repressed it, and for good measure they have added their foot stomping edit moonshine on the a side, its a liquid disco funk hoe down thigh slapping drunken stomp, funky and slide guitars, the odd brass stab here and there, throw in a bit of organ with some chunky pianos, add some guy laughing and we are good to go. b1 gets going with a funky disco cosmic groover with some wicked wah wah guitar, strings, effects, cool synths and tight drums, all bound to get them moving on the dance floor. b2 groove is so infectious with some sweet harmonica solos, tight bass and soaring strings that lifts this track and the crowd to cloud
