this ep was formed with a concept in mind that involves a natural phenomenon occurring in various / different fields of science and nature - anti-parallelism. as the word suggests, anti-parallelism describes the natural relationship between two occurrences, objects or even non-material things, that are virtually identical and yet oriented in different directions. during the time the music was made i was researching natural phenomenons like this one. naturally, this became part of the nucleus, fabric and inspiration for this work. in genetics, for example, if the >antiparallelity< is corrupted during the process of dna replication it is called a mutation. this mutation can be anything from totally inconsequential to critical for the survival of the whole living organism. a double helix of dna contains two helixes, that are naturally anti-parallel to one another. in physics this could be two of the same objects moving through space and time in opposite directions - just like the instruments or parts of a beat in electronic music production. so metaphorically speaking, anti-parallelism holds a natural balance to keep it safe and stable. although this might sound all very conceptual and theoretical this music is obviously just what it is - it is not intended to teach math, physics or biology in any way. the above mentioned aspect has simply found its way through my head and might have led to a piece of music that somehow, at least for me, is connected to these thoughts. it might evoke something very different for you

b2 – frieder blume – we play for love - frieder sounds like those worldly-wise professionals that definitely know there business. but in fact its his first track on vinyl and we all can imagine what this guy will sound like in a few years. we play for love builds and builds and builds and culminates in a climax… bam! rewind please…

chilean producer aldo cadiz (desolat/einmaleins) drops the next release on elevation limited with 3 superb club tracks. tengo c kicks things into top gear with an infectious percussive groove packed with subtle preacher man samples and undeniable raw energy. darran nugent and pavel lenchenko follow up their recent ep on sasse s mood music label and take tengo c into a slightly different, housier direction but keep aldos kinetic energy cooking to the max. all in all 2 versions to suit different tastes. check the flip side for two totally different party tunes with a real unmistakable chilean flavour. loko block and negrito ven demonstrate why aldo is one of the hottest new talents right now.

ann aimee goes darker and more minimalistic than before with this debut release by area forty_one. this unknown producer gives us his personal interpretation of modern techno. this double pack contains five solid techno cuts, filled with spacy and robotic sounds, together with one imminent ambient track. discharging clouds gives us tracks, each one containing its unique vibe, and will please anyone with a preference for the dark, sinister techno sound. the mysterious area forty_one is one to keep an eye on

big support van oa. bas mooy, dvs1, perc, tommy four seven, go hiyama, paul mac and many more... just before the summer hits, were breaking it down with a massive techno bomb from the subs of scotland. this time its the mighty forward strategy group which will be responsible for some serious damage on the floor. the squad which delivered some amazing tunes for perc traxx and recently did a podcast for clr recordings are now up for a true banger on dynamic reflection. on this ep they split the force and bring both their own solo actions. smear takes over with >inert<, tweaking his synths into phased edges with a phat groove on top. the >retail & leisure< remix is more subdued and trips away with a smooth acid bassline through the track. on the b-side the other half of fsg. patrick walker smashes down the door with a more darker groove. pounding kickdrums, dark rhythms and smooth soundscapes is whats his recipe is for >phase linear<. this will definitely hit the big rooms!! boex & miller breaking down the beat in their rework, which makes the perfect balance for this ep. all n all a superior release by these gents and remix heavyweights. lets pray for more of this pure quality stuff and keep our eyes on the the future. the scene need more labels like this which reflects the current techno movement and promises loads more of that sweet stuff in days to come... dynamic reflection will represent only the true spirit of pure techno, they will put only the quality stuff back on the dancefloor!

limited repress on black wax !! sublime deep techno feat. killer sandwell mix... surface re-emerges from the murky depths of londonshire with part 2 of the new project / sub division >beneath the surface<, a series of releases forthcoming sporadically over the next year or so, delving beneath the surface and blurring the boundaries of the deeper shades of house and techno. between worlds sees sandwell district team up with nick dunton of 65d mavericks fame with an ep dedicated to long time friend and nicks fellow maverick richard polson r.i.p. the a side sees nick delivering his trademark emotive sounds.... lush harmonies, deep drones and echoing stabs line the track whilst the phasing drums, keys and melodic sub bass keep the journey moving beautifully towards a crescendo of harmonic drifts. on the flip long time friends of the label sandwell district strip back the layers with a special mix for rich. sandwell move the track towards the dance floor with rumbling bass lines and crisp beats morphing in and out of lush sustained textures. this mix bears all the signatures of yet another classic sandwell district track coupled with a pure and deeply felt emotive touch! timeless and beautiful, this is a heartfelt tribute to richard and is already receiving widespread support from those in the know!

somewhere between center parcs in nottingham and the white sandy perfection of formentera reside two men dedicated to the art of horizontal dancing. their mums call them ampo and timm (funny names, those notts lads), though we know them by their collective name of coyote. in their minds eye, it is still 1986 and there are leathery looking germans with alarming posing pouches dancing to simply red records on the shimmering terrace at ku club while down the road alfredo is building his legendary reputation at amnesia. apart from the clued-up few, most of the brits are billeted in san antonio where the beers are cheap and the sunburn is plentiful. coyotes music, despite being produced in the east midlands conjures up a world of sun, sea and 80s glamour, while still sounding very much like today.

oliver schleenvoigt is not only the half of the famous duo monoroom, he just knows how to bring the studio flavour directly to the dancefloor. after his smashing kunstflug ep on ostwind, munika is the second solo single of oliver and so chase buch (kling klong / ministry of sound london) didnt hesitate to put his gold fingers on one of these great original tracks. keep pimpin!

following the legendary first two, stoically super minimal records >sog 1< and >sog 2< that provide ecstasy disguised as boredom on kompakt extra/speicher in 2007, and the outstanding beautifully bizarre >sog - abweichung< on profan in 2010, we are now listening to >fremde hÄnde<. like its predecessors, this sog stands in the tradition of >the art of omission< with wolfgang voigt variegating his preference for the bluntly straightforward quaver bass in two different forms. the a-side contains a tonally noncommittal sequence ambling across the keyboard in quantised form, reminiscing of the arpeggiator (accompaniment function) function of early 70ies and 80ies synthesizers. on the b-side, daring and thoroughly unquantised quaver rhythms rock around a bass drum that, as the only straight element, tries to keep the whole thing together. the result sounds a little like a delirious can live.
