phoenix g. ferm and deep kickdrums that are being accompanied by lengthy chords and a frequently return male vocal that states, bounce. all and all this is the dancefloor music we are used to from mr.g. the a2 brings a more technoish vibe to dance to. this fits perfect in the modern trend of bass producers turning techno. while of course g is somewhat more of a legend and he didnt just turn to this type of music recently. it does proove that he is still abel to catch any kind of vibe to get the people moving. on the b1 we find a ben sims remix. which of course is enough said. mr sims turns the a2 original into an absolute floor wrecker.

taiki and nulight or to their friends rowan harrington and erka chinbayer have both been djing/producing for many years both in very different circles. taikis career started back in 2008 under his old alias name site 1 who was a house/electro producer. they joined forces and started working together in 2011 which now seems like a lifetime ago considering on what they have achieved in such a short time. when they first started out working together they were making a lot of dubstep, house and electro influenced bass music as we call it now. being heavily into garage, house and electronic dance music there sound heavily progressed across the spectrum of dance music. taiki and nulight released their first ep in february 2012 on subway recordings which gained a lot of support from the likes of mistajam, crookers, herve zinc, redlight, foamo, roska, benga, skream, adam f, hatcha, n type and more. gaining them a lot of frequent airtime on bbc radio 1, 1xtra, kiss 100 and rinse fm. now nearly a year and a half since they have joined forces, they have received massive support from some of the most respected djs out there not to mention air time nearly every week on radio 1 and kiss 100. with their next release on the horizon and due to drop december time 2012 on bengas very well respected label benga beats there is so much more that you will see from these boys and so much new material to hear.

botox present >basement love<, the first part of their second album >sans dormir<. two years after their previous lp >babylon by car<, cosmo vitelli and julien briffaz decided to unveil this new project through six different moments - call them eps - like six volumes forming a single story, each one being released every two months. the slow title-song >basement love< is released as a way of introduction, along three dancefloor remixes that lift this basement up in the air.

jack dice is a new project from john twells and walkmaster flex, now releasing their debut ep for modern love. john twells, amongst very many other things, runs the type label and has been producing music of various different disciplines and varieties over the last 15 years. although hes never released anything on modern love before, hes a long time friend and associate of the label. walker is the manager of main attrakionz and has been djing with them for the last couple of years as the official green ova dj. jack dice is fuelled by an interest in bass, twells being a car audio nerd and walker having an obsession with 90s southern rap music. these are their first tracks produced together, who know what might follow.

daniel blackbelt andersen has been active in the norwegian dance music community for a number of years. he got into electronic dance music in the early 90s, and first started emulating the sound of detroit techno on his fathers home computer. these are three brand new tracks not being part of the recent album ii.

the sailorman ep is probably the most personal in alle farbens discography up to now in which he turns cherished pieces of music history and poetry with great love for detail and transforms them into contemporary club music. with it he shows his preferences for classic singing, lyric, the coast and the sea. through the clash of the unusual alle farben produces again and again a successful symbiosis and creates a unique stimulus. with the remix ep alle farben rallies round a few of his companions oft he last years and a familiar colourful musical mixture came into being.

despite the advent and cari lekebusch being two of the most enduring names in techno, the release of sonic intervention is the most high profile product to date of a working relationship that has that has spanned almost the entire history of techno. something of a landmark for all concerned, not only is it the first full-length album from the advent since 2005 s t.r.i.n.i.t.y long player for berlin s tresor records but for h-productions and its founder, the project is the highlight thus far of the labels resurgent release schedule. as lekebusch commented, to have known and respected cisco and his music or so long it was of course a great moment to get to release this album. the blend of old and new styles with high caliber the advent production has created a strong album with depth and variety that i think new and old fans alike will really enjoy .

a real treat up next for you on apple pips, coming from talented plymouth based beatsmith phat chex … phat chex aka ben pooley came to apple pips attention through the dj/promoter necta selecta, who was repping chex beats at the legendary subheavy parties. when necta dropped >git da funk<, it was a case of >who the ruddy heck is this by?!<. a friendship was struck up, and tune swapping has resulted in these two beauties being dropped on wax. a versatile producer who sums up the current bass scenes openminded attitude to genres and influences, chex is at home making deep electro, heads down techno, smokey jazzed out house, or post whatever bass music.

presenting a new collaboration featuring oren ambarchi on guitar, the electronics of robin fox, and both performing on various other instruments. the music on this album came about as the result of the two being asked to co-compose the soundtrack for a new production by renowned australian contemporary dance company chunky move for their connected production.

nice price deal !!! aÑa / henning baer / norman nodge / musk.... no one knows exactly how, or why it happened. we can only postulate. perhaps it was rogue hydrogen atoms causing havoc again, or a particularly voracious wave of em radiation hell bent on finding a good time. the point is, (in those days) such lude behavior was simply unacceptable: aÑa had become excited, too much so for the solar stiffs that swirled about her. and that system of hers—always buzzing around, refusing to share anything—it had to go. so both were exiled from that collision patch they called home, leaving aÑa and her system to wander the cosmos. some years passed. aÑa grew a little, but mostly she practiced her basswalk—not this girly swooshy thing with your hips, but a real bolshy bovver boot stomp. after a while she got pretty good at it, she wanted to show her friends. maybe theyd like to basswalk too. well, they couldnt get enough of it—but no one did it quite like aÑa. henning baers had a bit more groove to it and this whole new tweaky hat element. norman nodge kept his pretty punchy, but all that time spent in berghain had turned his basswalk into a bit of a skulk. as for musk, the boys inverted the whole thing of course—turned a disco trick, shifting the march down into more of a slinky house glide. aÑa liked them all so much—and it was time isolated system stopped being such a separatist—she decided to gather them all together to make basswalker part i. now you can basswalk too

great dont techno 4 tracker... new moves from cursor, ben pest & jerome hill ... cursor miner has built a solid reputation over the years for being a free thinker in the world of techno, breaks and bass music, and here for dont he delivers the massive >nonon<. with early support from perc, the track has to be heard to understand... it lures you into a trance then thunderous spastikesque drums pummel the listener into submission. in one word, classic. plus you get palinki, a warped techno bouncer. on the flip, another freethinker, ben pest treats us to >yam um sugli<, with deranged synths and drums practically oozing funk, this sounds like nothing else on the planet.. which is what dont is all about! finally, label boss jerome hill steps up to give a reworking to the aptly named >rumbler<, an intense techno bruiser!

the new bomb on echocord colour comes from nick höppner and scott monteith aka deadbeat. this is the first ep by nick höppner on echocord colour. nick is maybe most known as being the manager of one of berlins most infamous record labels, ostgut-ton, höppner may not always receive the same lavish praise as ostgut artists like ben klock, shed and marcel dettmann, but there is an argument to be had that he is the best of the bunch. höppner only releases sporadically, but whether it is solo or alongside lee jones as mymy, his records are always remarkable. the 2 tracks for this release are both peaktime tracks. deadbeat did the remix.

chairlift present takes on several cuts from acclaimed second album >something< by some of their favorite producers, showcasing how their songs can easily be adapted for the club. appropriately titled the 6.15amix, spanish equipo fantástico john talabot and pional turn >i belong in your arms< into a balearica-infused club-closer. a nifty piano line and seductive rhythm take the song on a late night (or rather early morning) trip to the beach, while carolines voice is being warped into something from outer space. photek takes the same track to a whole different place with his powerful jungle interpretation. martyn respects both the pace and rhythm of sidewalk safari, yet exchanges the clean production for a rather more cosmic beat, incorporating many of his signature touches to compliment the sinister >i m gonna hunt you down< lyric. dan careys dub mix of >sidewalk safari< shows a more playful side, while arguably the most intriguing remix of the package is the fields take on >met before<, recalling his early work it is so warped and layered you may struggle to imagine the original minus the smallest of hints.

sixth instalment from the shack and another generous exult in aural pleasing for the intelligent of house heads out there. two original tracks, two in-house remixes, you know the score with these guys…this is how they work. key to the label and artists success is being reliable and consistent with the flow, something obviously being picked up as the label once again is topping the right charts and getting the props from the right people. expect no different with 006.
