as a further addition to last years seminal chmmr debut album heres 2 smashing bonus tracks and and a noteworthy remix by thomas. time to check out the album again, niceness for the cold weeks to come and likewise to dig into the new prins thomas diskomiks, de- and re- constructed by the gentleman that got our little label empire started is otherwise known as the rightful principe del norte!
with bjoern torske, skateboard, telephones and last not least the sex tags label all hailing from bergen, the city s not been exactly short on world leading “d.i.s.c.o” , but it s geir hermansen aka velferd that recently cought our ear with his keys. in “the city that drowned” it s unlikely only ever so wet, there s bliss, sun, warmth, heat - all painted bright with skyrocketing masterful synths over very neat and dry bass. great! laid back and somehow dreamy the whole thing catches you by the ear and lingers on but then there s so much dedicated kick and an almost extatic groove in each track - irresistable string hooks made in heaven! “never” and “through the valley” add on to where the title song just left and this give the 3 track ep so much perfectly arranged strength… bergen might well have given birth to another disco standard-bearer.
a leopard cant change his spots and magnus international earned his spots in the sequence hue of oslos disco scene. disco is the single thread that runs through all electronic dance music. after an inconsistent hiatus from recording, the norwegian dj had donned the producer cap resolutely for his debut lp, echo to echo with us last year in 2016, the an additional much loved album bonus 12inch. that all, aside his many other projects for us in the last years. now 2017, magnus synths are on again, like a breath of fresh air and sunlight, these 4 tracks roll on to the world from oslos shores and as his usually best magnus is very strong on seamingly endless grooving chords and timing, sweet harmonycentric bliss and tight, on the point drum programming that comes with this pull factor wich makes you want to play or listen out loud over and over again. theres a chmmr remix as well so things look really good here!
jarle bråthen from ytre rymden dansskola with yet another hot outing on yours truly, full pupp. deep relaxed grooving, “norway cool” disco /house with a fantatsic relaxed pianohook contered by finelky crafted string twirls (flott vaer) and huge motoric bass (warm warmer disco). tempting and tentalising modern bliss! remixes by magnus international and thomas & you bet they are no less bad. at all.
even brenden is back, after his unmistakable hit with fp046, media vision presents chmmr true to form. media vision is a 12 minute, slow burning syncopating killer of almost metro areasque proportions. understand and user are more direct, the first more percussive straight up to the floor the latter more piano driven and with a playful 90s pop edge, but yet again both sport evens distinct feel for warm sound and on the point grooves plus the actual unmistakable part always added always working dedicated hook lines. this is very modern very forward norwegian house music at their very best. tip! fp hq hamburg june 2016
trulz & robin aka trulz kvam & robin crafoord do slowburning, airy but distinct fascinating house music, warm, bright, focussed but playful, reduced, but open to surprise. signed with atmospheric grooves, a stomping kick, subtle klick and lurching bassline. spiced with plentyfull electronic or sometimes acidic elements this is like straight out of a future club that we like to visit over and over and never seem to get over until breakfast time arrives. written by full pupps hh, on the first sunny day in may, 2016
full pupps 50th release comes not only with a brand new refreshed design. its time to honk our own horn! 50 releases in and we do our first doublepack 12inc too. a mixture of new tracks, reworks of pts >iii-album and a mega chunky chmmr rework of >stockholm express-toot toot.<
the first release of full pupp slipts, a new kind in our lovely fpinternasjonal smaland has finally arrived. weve set up this little offshoot basically to let tracks by separate artists carpool together instead of waiting for each artist to finish off a full ep. the finished tracks will(at least in theory)end up quicker in your record bag and youll get a cool combo of tracks for each release. for the first release youll get full pupp regular blackbelt andersen serving up the much requested dolphin sandwich and on the flip debutante and full pupp prospect christian enghs gives you kyllingsmak.
daniel blackbelt andersen has been active in the norwegian dance music community for a number of years. he got into electronic dance music in the early 90s, and first started emulating the sound of detroit techno on his fathers home computer. these are three brand new tracks not being part of the recent album ii.
the tracks on the oving ep are all reworks of the old back catalouge, recorded almost live in maximum two takes: slangemusikk, uggebugg and sauerkraut from the debut album - transformed into snake music, hamar bluesklubb and >surkal<. the last track aril moen is a new version of the 12inch morfar. the whole thing got mixed by no other than todd terje olsen and mastered to perfection by chris sansom at propeller studios.
one of the master teachers of the norwegian house and disco rune lindbaek - who put oslo on the house map as part of the those norwegians ( paper music ) - joins forces with younger disciple kare frisvold for a potent, accoustic hallucinogenic called >bozak brewed with the shared knowledge of mad sounds scientist like walter gibbons and lee scratch perry: a constantly building electrical storm of strange psychedelic synth noises pierced by flutters of rico rodriguez style trombone solo, liquid guitar scales and kraftwerk like melodic fragments all held together by a forcefull drum beat. the quirky >spok & spenning< on the flip is another beautifully strange mixture of cinematic melodies, like sweated out by a drunken ennio morricone, over an easy skanking beat and comes additionally in a stripped down bonus beat plus spacey sounds version by prins thomas. take a trip to your mind!
tom dragebo is a norwegian born dj and berlin residential producer whose love for techno and house music is infectious and radiates through every set he plays. hailing from a small leafy town in norway, dragebo has been djing for over 10 years and has been producing tracks since 2008. his latest release being the critically acclaimed so good ep on cleanroom records. his emotive and powerful debut for full pupp is a real tech treat well rounded by each a sparkling, driving pt diskomiks and forcefully clapping and delicately swirling prins thomas pure acid rett i fletta versjon.
remixes of last years seminal chmmr debut album by telephones, dj dog & double dancer. time to check out the album again, niceness for the cold weeks to come and likewise to dig into the new remixes, de- and re- constructed by gentlemen that need no introduction!
from a recent mixmag story about one of pandreas releases: there must be something in that fresh arctic air in norway: from the sex tags mania crew to todd terje, the icy scandinavian nation has become a hotbed for producers making a particularly sparkling blend of leftfield disco and house.
onboard having come up with an annual-ish drop of 12inches since 2010, even brenden aka chmmr set aside the spring of 2016 to challenge himself to a new format: a full-length album. a true nostalgic, he uses compass point-era and early italo sounds for inspiration and attempts to simulate these styles. this makes for a melodic, chuggy and graphic album that belongs a little more in the living room than on the dance floor. with 10 tracks of dusty rhythms and the honest, naive and spacious themes that is brendens signature, its a record designed to signal that todays technological future may not be as different as yesterdays. features a nice-looking cover painting drawn by the late harold cohens aaron program - automation at its finest. hidden behind his chmmr moniker is even brenden, whose summery debut found its way into the world via norwegian psych-disco label luna flicks in 2010. the record became somewhat of a soughtafter item and after making pit stops at relish, dødpop and untz untz records, he landed on prins thomas full pupp in 2014 and have stayed put ever since, all the while enjoying a steady habit of record jocking and the occasional keyboard duty in telephones now-defunct live band. even resides in oslo makes odd waves without vowels.
since laars epic crowdsurfing days touring with his former disco-band tog, laars has been honing his production skills with more metric music inspired by the classic godfathers patrick crowley and giorgio moroder for lysår/none 12inch. making playful, percussive house music with a disco heart is one of laars passions that comes into play on this 12inch. sampling hits from his favorite records, sweeping filters, playing on his juno 60 and having his band mates come in to play percussion and synthesizers over some of his grooves you can hear how much fun theyve been having making the record. the mysterious willy nickersen has remixed the songs into deeper territories complementing the record making it able to lift dance floors across the globe.
VI KL IT AESID 1 (PRINS THOMAS, OMAR, APARICIO, ORYVIND MORKEN, TRULZ&ROBIN RMX)

the second release of full pupp slipts, our little sublabel for greatest future hits by our key staff mambers, ventures into the land of late 80 and 1990s plenty - some will remember it as that mythical place where whistles roam and mateys dwell to the sound of knob twiddling people and their 303. our first edition in an ongoing series, a norwegian love letter to acid house or as vi say:Æsid! vi kal it aesid 1 read: we call it acid volume one features 4 of our best production teams with their very best in classic acid house and that all - with such immense o pleasure, you can almost even feel that ecstasy. carefully select until we had them together to sound profound and as complete as volume one is! check yourself. its that sick, really. you won t regret! we let the music speak for itself. more hotness and hot mess just around the corner, more volumes to follow later.
while magnus 2016 double lp album echo to echo still makes waves from oslofjord to echobeach abnd further we add on 2 previously unreleased albuim seesion bonuses and two large also yet unreleasd and having to be heard long versions of its biggest hits: big red and zap the cat ! huge!
international earned his spots in the sequence hue of oslos disco scene. disco is the single thread that runs through all electronic dance music. after an inconsistent hiatus from recording, the norwegian dj has finally donned the producer cap resolutely for his debut lp. the double 12 inch release includes a download code.
summer is here and sees us returning with true colours, daylight all night long, and a deliberate breath of fresh air. norwegian-italian producer pelifics makes disco, infused with a strong homage to 80s pop, and a little dash of 90s house. the result is melodic, inspiring, kicking, danceable music that leave the listener oscillating between sounds of youthful nostalgia and the future sound of disco. next to the lush ultracrisp feel of the original track, full of light , warmths, thoughtful ideas it s chmmr and fettburger, aptly caled fett birger here to even pushing this more towards the floor
trulz & robin akatrulz kvam & robin crafoord return with sol and the names pays tribute to the sound. a very strong deep detrot influenced transmatesque electronic house, forward optimistic / euphemistic sun come out track, on b prins thomas sets a slower but less warm pace and gives it a non less positive balearic twist before froskelar goes way back to the main 4 2 the floor.
chmmr is the dance music making moniker of even brenden hailing from, oh yes, all the norway. having released on luna flicks, relish this time is the right time for his debut on full pupp. the unmistakably sparkling chmmr sound stands for long hypnotic, tracks, simple in a way, but oh so grooveleaden, sick bassed continuously panned patterned with a string theme makes sure you never forget which song it was that stuck in your ear last. it was either lyd & bilde or ... np hard - oh yes. last not least thomas adds an own remix version with an epic mythical persion twist. persion version is a full. inshallah!
trulz & robin are trulz kvam & robin crafoord, hailing from, yes off course, olso. and producing a mixture of deranged (in a great way) and extremely deep detrot influenced transmatesque slow electronic house. which they rightly call >acid-house gone organic<. i takeskogen and mosemannen are 2 moving and seriously mezmerising killer tracks that win and win with each listen and totally stand out of the mass of todays releases. tip!
another hot new osl(n)orwegian talent high on the heels of thomas, hp, terje and the likes tarjei nygard, head of untz untz records is no complete unknown on the international circuit. and will be even less after this release.
killer release on full pupp, the a side track > kakemonsteret< is a crossover floor monster
- already supported by: gilbert / chateau flight, daniel bortz, sven väth, john digweed, m.a.n.d.y, ivan smagghe....
limited to 500. 2 leftover standout tracks part of thomas 2nd album recording session in autumn 2012. sot kloe and sur svie are two loong mesmerizing as well as tantalisng masterpieces, totally standing out from the block of singles, so this extra release was due. kai, oslo/hamburg july 13
THE DRIFT (PRINS THOMAS / FRISVOLD & LINDBAEK RMXS)
12" Vinyl D07.05.13
full pupp takes us on a trip to the darkest side of disco with 3 suspenseful takes on the lionheart brothers >the drift<. frisvold & lindbaek dont waste much time lull you in with gentle introductions but pull you right into their deepest lair where swathes of billowing, ghostly sounds and warped strings are sliced trough by gyrating rock guitars and echoing vocals truly messing with sense of reality and orientation. a psychedelic onslaught of stoner rock, italian horror soundtrack and progressive electronics which in the morten oby & prins thomas version obtains its dizzying intensity from stacking said components tightly to a towering, dense sound of wall while prins thomas diskomiks on the flip takes it sweet time of pleasurably adding up the spine tingling aural ingredients over a straighter beat, slowly tightening the screw during to course of 12 gloriously spooky minutes.

2x12" Vinyl D30.10.12
the seven tracks on this lp or the eight on the mixed cd (including two bonus tracks) owe as much to the traditional methods of house or techno and extraterrestrial disco (i shipped around the s-word here) as they disregard it and they are as characteristic to thomas studio space (i used thes-word here) and his sound aesthetics as they are to his infinite will to surprise
daniel blackbelt andersen has been active in the norwegian dance music community for a number of years. he got into electronic dance music in the early 90s, and first started emulating the sound of detroit techno on his fathers home computer..
marius vareid revisists the title track of last years debut album in two version here and other than the connotation that telemark evokes, its perfect summer bizniss in the 12inch edit version thanks to its bobbing flanger chords, the unhurriedly striding bass melody and the carefree clattering percussion. the klubb version sticks to its promise, keeps the trademark chords but they sound way more athletic in its sparser environment of beefed up drums and frantic percussion. powered by a slightly moody feeling bassline and its buoyant, exuberant synth melodies the brand new il tempo gigante on the flip is a prime example of the scintillating, heady mixture of disco roots, house and dub antics. as an extra bonus prins thomas adds a tropical-sticky interpretation of villa farris (originall version on fp024)
full pupp helps another new outfit into the saddle. even though esteemed norwegian dj ole martin vilberg aka omar v and robin craaford, one half of dance disorder with baby g (bpitch, eskimo) are hardly young guns, they gang up together for the first time on complete: a blinding cut that harks back to the time with good ol jack was still the young buck and closely associated with uncle electro funk: tough beats, hyperactive claps, a jittering bass and a catchy, squeaking melody are still rattling bones if masterfully pieced together as it is done here. the guy most closely related to the italo sound out of the whole norwegian disco bunch chucks the more intricate original rhythm but goes hypertechnicolor and widescreen on the synth parts boosting up the originals melody, throwing in a nod to happy station and a hi-energy bassline.
debut 12 inch from this talented norwegian chap. after a little session with the prins at k16 studios we managed to squeeze out these 2 beauties. included in the vinyl edition is some good karma, you are not getting it with the digital release …
heres a little taster of things to come on marius våreids forthcoming album on full pupp(fpcd005 >telemark<). included is also a bonus track + a little bonus prins thomas version. as always, roadtested for months… rocking the house from oslo to tokyo
prins thomas spreads proper, earthy dub house vibes in a good old bobby konders tradition with >lang tung ting<. a hard driving jacker with dry, punching drums and grumbling, low-frequency acidic sounds not modulated by an 808 synth but from warped cello and bassoon lines. an ode to the timeless magic of beats and bass. much less sparse >ny maskin< on the flip is a dizzying disco/ rock jam backed by african derived beats and a gyranting, buoyant guitar lick . prins thomas brilliantly proves himself a jack of many trades again
blackbelt andersen loves you thats why he decided to give you this exclusive track while youre waiting for his forthcoming album(summer/fall 2010). however this track will not be on his next album todd terjes dj-partner dolle jolle kindly gave us the remix for the b-side, we had to rip it out of his hands though! ps:if you slept on his first album, shame on you!!
one of the major players in oslos disco scene joachim dyrdahl aka diskjokke returns to full pupp with his new original track takt raver, a shiny example for his melodic, epic yet jacking style where almost fragile melodic fragments, stomping grooves, simmering acidlines and air-horns magically gel together. label boss and discoverer prins thomas takes us on a space walk with his marvelous psychedelic remix of 1987 which will appear in its original version on diskjokkes forthcoming second album on smalltown supersound. on the flip excentric duo and food geeks ost & kjex ( diynamic ) serve up a whole menu with several courses and a huge variety of flavours: their remix of interpolations makes itÆs entree as a jerky, crunchy afro-beat style funker followed by aromatic, earthy house chords before a well-rounded finish of tangy acid lines and hints of bitter-sweet melodies. sink your teeth (and ears) into this!!!
marius is 1/2 of ytre rymden dansskola and is currently preparing his first solo album with prins thomas in his k16 studios. as a little taste of things to come heres a couple of sun soaked little ditties and a big and loud moroder meets acid rework from blackbelt andersen.
the first of 2 planned 12inch samplers to come out from ytre rymden dansskolas debut album. bange anelser appears in a slightly longer edit done by yours truly and on the b-side youll get the remix from hotly tipped production team frisvold & lindbæk. it took us a few years to involve dear mr.lindbæk(rune)but it was worth the wait. trippy disko at its most…. eh… trippy? anyway, a dubby delight kahluha madness and u sving appear in original version from the album, both personal favourites which we just had to have on vinyl. thomas
not content with just completing their debut album for full pupp, jarle bråthen from ytre rymden dansskola unleashes his virgin vinyl 12inch on us. on the a side weve got >søder<. though rough and tough on the outside, its just like a ferrero rocher… a hard shell but a creamy soft inside…. mmmm…. i love chocolate… on side b theres >takras< which we previously displayed on last years >greatest tits vol.1< compilation. this time however, youll get it with a proper mixdown from yours truly skål!!!
per martinsen aka mental overdrive shouldnt need any introduction being the granddad of the norwegian electronic music scene and all... hidden away in a little snowcave near the polar circle hes currently preparing the bits that eventually will become his debut album for full pupp.weve heard some bits and though wed like to keep them all under the lid for a little while longer, heres a little sneak peek of what hes done and hopefully preparing you off his unique take on modern dance music taking in elements of new wave, new beat, detroit and dubstep on the way. per unleashed this on us at one of the full pupp nights in oslo and recently we saw how it took the roof off at fabric... for the b-side we paired per up with the equally detroit-loving blackbelt andersen which gives us a hi-speed samba techno work out with a unhealthy deep bass.
we once again welcome back diskjokke to the motherpupp after a succesful run of releases on smalltown supersound and kindisch. 2008 was a hectic year for joachim, putting together his live band, doing remixes for metronomy, foals and lykke li to name a few and spreading melodic, trance-inducing feelgood disko gospel around the world. asa nisi masa has been causing much mayhem the last 12 months even causing girls to offer me services i wont mention here...wibbly wobbly arpeggios massaging your buttocks...very very rude indeed as already showcased on the full pupp/greatest tits compilation, >cearadactylus< is definitely a different kind of beast. slow and chugging along at a tempo even fit for dinosaurs
after a 2 and a half year wait i finally managed to knock out a new single. its actually only my 3rd solo single ever. im very happy with it but ive got mixed feelings trying to describe it. you spend a year working on a track and a lazy shop worker or journalist will lump you into the >cosmicbalearicspacewhatever< straightjacket in 2 seconds, i can at least resist to do the same… anyway, two are quite psychedelic and one is some kind of cover version of one of my favourite villalobos trax. as you can hear ive had loads of fun fooling around in the studio playing the bass, percussion, drums(badly) and synths(even worse…)…
incl prins thomas remix !! killer alert from blackbelt andersen... this fine former techno producer and co resident at the full pupp nights in oslo deliever yet another unexpected slow burner, but this time keeping it simple, building the track around a nagging acid groove. prins thomas adds some disco chic on the b-side and.... you should just buy this... ps: blackbelts debut album is just around the corner
a stone cold new norvegian artist (hey maybe hes not that new but at least he hides his heritage pretty well) serving stone cold cristal clear and electronic blissed nuova disco full of tension and energetic bliss. theres lots of changes in those tracks. that and splendid drumplay keeps the atmospere vital. wicked for both disco and techno crowds! this is part 2 of 2 ep series.

mental overdrive is norway’s per martenson, famous since 1990 for his productions on belgian superlabel r&s, music man, discfunction, smalltown supersound, virgin and his own love od communications imprint out of norway
after his much applauded tribute to manuel göttsching, norwegian martial arts grand wizzard blackbelt anderson returns with another deadly sample of his secret technique: the main cut >alfaz de pi< molds the ancient styles of cowbell driven space disco and ruff acid into a powerfull weapon for dancefloor action. >sandoz< overwhelms in a more gentle way with its sweeping balearic chords and the melancholic melodie while the prins thomas edited >snake eyes< hands out some hard capoeira style slaps. surely one of the most crushing releases on full pupp so far.
the next scandinavian discoteer taking us unto a trip into deep space-disco galaxies. two magnus international goodies and a remix by space captain prins tomas make up for another bumpin full pupp release. >> played by dominik eulberg !!! wow
norway and no end….thank god!oslo based producer and dj thomas m. hermansen aka prins thomas is solely responsible for this new masterpiece on full pupp recordings and, my friends outside, fehrara is one of the most thrilling records of this years autumn season!the a side starts with this kind of very popular disco sound full pupp stands for…amazing!the flip brings us a deep and groovy neo-disco-acid tune, perfect track for a hot and never ending club night!epilog:after sunrise, nearly everybody decided - the audience were swept off their feet
