dont is excited to welcome dublins another alias with a perfectly unsettling 4-track ep that veers from 2 step through techno and out the other side, truly bringing something new to the table.this producer has been busy carving out a definite sound of late and that sound chimed so much with the original ethos of dont, that he was immediately sought out and invited to record an ep. his productions bang, whilst managing to hit a delightfully off-kilter tone which is a tricky combination to get right and we really hope you’ll enjoy this special release.

chris moss acid returns to don t for a follow up to last year s the acid that ate bournemouth with 4 tracks of blistering proportions. the joker is a twisted and squelchy hard nosed house/techno hybrid that punches through a sound system, while pumped up mf nestles coyly between ghetto/booty and acid with a suggestive bassline ripping things apart. on the flip, more mayhem with dp acid which is as derranged as they come before the ep closes in magnificent style with elektra , electro s answer to bohemian rhapsody.

the a side contains 2 heavy bangers, and the b side, 2 slices of amazingly quirky and rocking wonky style techno. man of the moment joe farr steps up and serves us a heavy one, dense, big boned techno music that manages to morph into gabba and back out again. this one is causing a stir whenever its played and fits perfectly with the dont ethos of extreme idea implementation! next up cursor miner returns to the label with a demented banger that has been road tested extensively during his live sets and comes with a health warning.. flip the record over for 2 slices of beautifully freeform wonky techno, the first coming from newcomer - sane and the second from dont veteran * edit*
neil landstrumm returns to dont with a collection of some of his finest and most groundbreaking tracks from the tresor era of the mid to late 90s… also included is an alternative version of tension in new york, made at the same time but never released. what with the current resurgence in real techno, the time is right to show the kids of today, what was going on in the 90s and how it still freaks the frame and gets the dancefloor moving all these years later!
great dont techno 4 tracker... new moves from cursor, ben pest & jerome hill ... cursor miner has built a solid reputation over the years for being a free thinker in the world of techno, breaks and bass music, and here for dont he delivers the massive >nonon<. with early support from perc, the track has to be heard to understand... it lures you into a trance then thunderous spastikesque drums pummel the listener into submission. in one word, classic. plus you get palinki, a warped techno bouncer. on the flip, another freethinker, ben pest treats us to >yam um sugli<, with deranged synths and drums practically oozing funk, this sounds like nothing else on the planet.. which is what dont is all about! finally, label boss jerome hill steps up to give a reworking to the aptly named >rumbler<, an intense techno bruiser!
tough new moves from newcomer boner m on the much loved dont outletalso features sought after subhead track on vinyl for the 1st time techno as it was in the 90s and early 2000s is hard to come across these days.gone are the killer intense riffs and hard beats that did the damage on dance floors the world over.well as usual, sidestepping the current fashions and delivering nothing but great quality off the wall techno music, dont recordings returns to smack the ball right out of the park with a brand new heavy techno 2 tracker cut extra loud for your pleasure.maverick techno legend subhead steps up and delivers intense rave-o-gedden of epic proportions. this ones been doing serious damage via cd and via the with vocals version on tunebox records for the last 2 years and has been the most asked about track of both subhead and label boss jerome hills sets during this time, with constant requests from djs to make it available.on the b-side dont brings you the debut release from a formidable new talent boner m whose track zoidar melds hard techno and disco together with distinct ease, but the results are far from what youd expect of these two genres colliding.less daft punk and more in your face overloaded bass funk. look out for more from this guy in the future.support techno before it becomes extinct!
the first release from the tsr guys in several years here - and what a corker!four tracks here that display a great approach to the wronger side of the dancefloor - the main club filler being a1 >three men< but check out >is this ska-cid< for a novel take on longsy ds classic >this is ska< - pow !
autonation s sit on the bass was released on esteemed label r&s , 18 years ago in 1991.. (shit! was it really 18 years ago??)
autonation kindly agreed to a re-release two years ago after a meeting in a pub in ladbroke grove. sit on the bass has been a mainstay of label boss jerome hill s sets since it s release all those years ago and still sounds relevent and rocks crowds today.
autonation is none other than seasoned producer dave campbell who over the years has released a vast body of techno, drum n bass, and ambient music under the aliases kibu, hiryze, xtro, greenback and of course autonation on labels such as rising high, certificate 18, r&s, cue and guy called gerald s juicebox.
its an absolute techno classic, but not one of the obvious ones that get rolled out for every old skool back to the 90 s set.. so get on board and be in the know before everyone gets on it!!
jerome hill steps up for the remix on the b-side utilising some fierce rumbling sub bass and keeping the energy levels on 11 for the dancefloor..
this release has been cut super loud and is the first 2-tracker on don t for just this reason.
again the tracks were selected carefully, each of them strong on personality and waiting to burst out and put the willies up anyone who believes that techno can be pigeonholed. cue bjorn svin (of mand over board fame) and a brooding monster of a tune that briefly saw a release on his excellent 1999 lp benene pa nakken and was included on the la monde (aka len fakis) at the wheels of steel mix cd the following year. believe that this track is a killer one of those inspired pieces of techno that sticks in your head for days after hearing it for the first time next up label boss jerome hill lets his bass out in the comedic rel und pol, a dancefloor workout with a syncopated speech running throughout. flip over for rob stow and im going to kill her put simply this is nasty (in a nice way) a riff that tears you a new one and edits and tricks galore, this ones gonna give the speakers a battering! last but certainly not least, switzerlands ki yota from mercurochrome and mental industries steps up to deliver us an apocalyptic anthem with wowwow bass, that swiss percussion and lead riffs all snaking around, finally building to a satisfying climax over and out
