spreekader aufnahmen is a new berlin based label. originally coming from tech house and minimal techno we are also releasing any kind of music we think it is worth hearing so that the essence of spreekader aufnahmen is good music. no matter if it is house, ambient, or any other kind of thrilling sound. we are obsessed with good music and therefore we are hopeless victims of sound. spreekader aufnahmen proudly presents to you >tamtam<. >tamtam< is going to be our first release on spreekader aufnahmen. the release features artists such as schulleri & eiblonski, benno blome, kotelett & zadak and last but not least nico stojan. the original mix brought to you by schulleri & eiblonski (labelowner of spreekader aufnahmen) is what you would call a prime-time happy-go-lucky hit at its best. talking about the remixers, benno blome (sender records) added a fast forward piano that way >tamtam< the track even goes happy-go-funky. kotelett & zadak (golden gate) took their time and made it nice and deep, perfect for every afterhour. finally nico stojan (bar 25) added piano and vocal to his version of >tamtam< and made smooth and sweet.

the long awaited dubplate anthem is here! as soon as we at ns-hq heard >drum track<, we knew atlantas helix would fit right in around here. his two main obsessions are old grime and looping hypnotic berlin techno. and it shows, as both collide here to produce the ultimate rhythm track. this is anthemic 8 bar techno, or sublow gone hands-in-the-air raving. this trak destroyed every festival we played at last summer. this is super-stripped down, poised club music - exactly what night slugs is all about. on the flip, we are honoured to have one of our all-time favourite mic controllers flirta d bless drum track with his >no hook no bs< version. known best for such grime bangers as slks >hype hype< and his own >warp speed<, flirta brings that unique sound-effects laden flow to the riddim like its 2004 again and triumphant rave anthems are going off once more.

the slat blinds in berlins panorama bar are part of the vjs equipment, and when the mood is right (usually around sunday afternoon),he opens them up to allow slices of sunshine to penetrate the smoky club air.it doesnt happen all too often,remaining something special amongst hours of darkness.but as ruede played the first version of shades in his last p-bar set, it seemed to happen just for him, as if he had written this tracks distinct break especially for this moment:everyone was mesmerized. re.you & rampa with a rmx for shades are also no strangers to such euphoria, and as ruede recently lent them his voice,they return the favor by building a robust, custom-made bass mobile for the a2.then, on the b-side, ruedes fellow band members from the noblettes make an appearance.as with shades,the focal point is also the big break,only this one has nothing to do with techno - its more of an indie-house ballad with dance ambition.

here uto karem returns to plus 8 for his second release on the label, with the two tracks he serves up - take control and all over you - continuing in the rising italian stars good run of form. as well as being an in-demand remixer, dj and producer, karem also runs his own agile recordings imprint on which he explores the same deep techno rhythms and loopy hypnotism as he does with his two original tracks here.take control is a liquid track which builds in looped layers through piston pumping percussion, up-right beats and plenty of melodic drama. though it pushes on from left to right in true plus 8 style, the warmth and atmosphere that surrounds the main beats and bass is what really sets the track alight. all over you again features a crisp, almost dry production style as various percussive elements flesh out a 4/4 techno groove. hidden within each bar are some wooden sounding hits and various melodic notes, all of which are heart-warming additions to a killer dancefloor groove. as well as this, there is a more driving dub version of take control which canters on a knife edge for its six minute duration, closing out another efficient and streamlined techno release on plus 8.

something of a departure into uncharted territory for ostgut ton on the fiftieth single release of the label. following berghains hugely sucessful art exhibition alle which showcased the many visual artists among the members of staff at berghain/panorama bar, ostgut ton shows they cannot be pinned down easily to one genre by offering their anniversary release to two artists of the extended ostgut family who normally wouldnt be associated with what you might have come to expect from the label. shambhu the undisputed queen of the berghain bar ladies (she regulary holds court every saturday upstairs at her very own gitter bar) and rummelsnuff the germanic hulk of the berghain/laboratory bouncers come up with enchanting and surprising results. the release comes pressed as a 7 inch (a first for the label and limited to 500 hand-numered copies) and each side is given to one of the two artists.

after breaking our new years resolutions at a tiki bar deep in the woods, numbolics very 1st release in 2012 is a production by our lovely french friend kane roth. with an elegant drift kane and the remixers d.diggler and dualism made four outstanding kicking minimal tracks while creating her typically sort of breeziness. she delicately placed all the charming arrangements very well in order to sound super authentically rooted. dance baby, dance!

from celle into the wide world: these days guido schneider is one of the major globetrotters among djs and producers worldwide, but he began his career 15 years ago in provincial germany. however, instead of baking bread rolls, schneider founded his own label neue welten right from the beginning. it was a move that naturally brought him to the capital of electronic music in berlin. what followed was a series of exciting and successful collaborations with other renowned artists, and after dissolving his label, schneider began travelling as a sought after dj, jetting all around the globe. it is little wonder that such a reputable dj and producer also belongs to the diverse highgrade family. he has now produced another ep for the berlin label which brings us the typical guido schneider qualities right before our eyes, or even better: before our ears! the two tracks navigate precicely from the first bar, the minimal sound universe that relies on elaborate percussion, without ever being over produced, and flow into fantastically harmonic vocals that lend the thumping beats an elegant softeness. simply stated, typically schneider.

alex and bill met 16 years ago when bill signed one of alex s first productions (is this the rhythm? by rhythmnvibe) to a new york label he was running. alex, whose father lives in the us, was a regular visitor to the states and they sent many happy hours together hanging out at the sound factory bar and comparing maw dubs. when bill returned to the uk in 1996, they had a few sessions together making house music, though neither of them can remember why they never finished anything or, indeed, what became of the tracks. fast forward a few years and they finally got back into the studio to make sweet music together under the moniker hotel motel. since then they have created a rich seam of work that some have already described as, like salvador dali with his pants down being fellated by deirdre barlow. few would disagree.

g.h. is gary howell, longtime associate of modern love as one half of pendle coven and sometime contributor to the hate project. the ground ep features howells first material produced outside of pendle coven and takes on a much darker, more stripped down aesthetic - making use of location recordings amassed over the last decade. the title track extends over 7 minutes from a solitary bass pulse into a slow, three dimensional industrial reduction heaving with uncomfortable bass weight and a sense of nervous expectation. its like the bare, skeletal noise framework for darkest junglist hardcore stripped of its percussion - all bar a bass drum and intense shards of noise. albedo has more of a swing to it, dominated by a growling bassline and the metallic clunk of disjointed percussion at odds with the squashed funk lurking somewhere at its core. the template is extended on earth, a brilliantly discordant club variant that sounds like an r&b mastertrack exploded into 100 constituent parts and put together not entirely in the right order. it builds and collapses into itself, a stylistic oddity that at one and the same time brings to mind boards of canadas re- working of colonel abrams - trapped and the extreme frequency vortex of the raster noton lab

there is a certain dynamic that emerges whenever andre galluzzi and dana ruh pair up to create a record. with last year s >freya / mauersegler< split ep on ostgut ton, the two have already hit up some of the most prestigious labels in the electronic music landscape. tracks that are upbeat, driving, and, most of all, fresh have characterized their co-productions, which now have aras as a home. taking its cues from their label nights at berlin s panorama bar, galluzzi and ruh have solidified aras into an imprint based around expanding upon the creative energy that both share. their first release, >trambolla<, harmonizes each artist s approach into a grooving whirlwind that showcases their ability as producers as well as live musicians.starting off with the title track >trambolla<, the ep begins with tribal beats and infectious arrangements that seamlessly build upon each other along the course of the a-side. grooving from the start, it is the kind of track where the listener or the dj gets into the vibe right away. the percussion of >trambolla< especially stands out amongst the latin-tinged bongos, hi-hats, and hand claps that interchangeably come in and out of the track, a journey of its own at 9 minutes. >thelema<, the b-side, contrasts with the lightness of the a-side and demonstrates galluzzi and ruh s equal comfort in creating darker and heavily pounding tracks. the ten minute track grows out of a simple beat and growls ever louder as it takes in more intensity with its cascade of filters, delays, and booming bass. aside from the hard edge of >thelema<, it also provides a preview into the live set that the two artists are about to debut together.

the lexx remix stays close to the original mix but moves gently into the world of disco by adding a smooth bassline by reto gaffuri, along with a tight drum track that together creates a beautiful beach bar groove.
d-pulse serve up a top-notch remix production using all the very best elements from the original mix whilst adding their own unique quality and musicianship to the proceedings.
beginnings started off life as a remix, but ended up as a project club beach epic. the track is irresistibly melancholy and a worthy inclusion on this stunning debut 12 inch.

dance music legend chez damier dusts down this past murmur hit by commander in chief geddes and mic newman to produce two house versions. chez damiers alternative remix is already setting the dancefloor of the panorama bar ablaze due to solid support from the ever excellent cassy. with its rolling groove, shuffling percussion and tough drums it looks set to be a staple in many more djs boxes over the following months. chezs flute mix loosens up the percussion and injects a slightly deeper musical feeling and makes it a more than worthy alternative choice.

edit king leo zero returns with something very special to kick off a new run of no frills dancefloor bombs that have been tried and tested over the summer on a packed worldwide dj schedule from stockholm to tokyo and beyond. first up is an intensive slice and dice exercise on probably the best track from definitely the best band in the world: the clash. leo takes their most disco friendly outing >the maginificent dance< famously spun by mr levan at the garage - and with the more dubby rare levan version he homes in on looped 1 bar sections, skating along to create a new arrangement - added to the brew are bootleg recordings form the clashes infamous live show at nycs bonds ballroom, and even some baseline demos digitally siphoned from people practicing guitar along to the clash on youtube!….. we are left with is an epic labour of love edit that has already found its way into the a-listers record boxes - from derrick carter to laurent garnier who are all spinning this solid as a rock dub disco bomb. on the flip we have a classy house re-work of al hudson & partners >music< which sticks a chi-town kick and snare up its rear end along with some serious sub bass, and in the middle things get all wobbly with some trademark leo zero space echo rides and before we are quickly warped back-in and onto the floor… big with a load of top jocks too including severino of horse meat disco fame.

hailing from the usa, boston ma, kon has been djing internationally alongside some of the worlds best djs as well as releasing several comps/edits on londons bbe label (kings of series/ off track vols 1-3 along with his vinyl collecting friend amir ) you may have heard his 1/2 hour multi-track remix mix for gilles peterson world wide show on bbc radio 1 a few months back … well here kon makes his debut dance release on the hands of time gold imprint. handling the production and arrangement, kon gives us the original version as well as a dub, pairing of samples and original music he utilizes a very clever 1 bar vocal sample from multi track stems as well as live session players (his gang) to get his vision across. with its punchy drums & warm, feel good vibes ... its a perfect affair for winding down this summer.

terror danjah finally returns to the airwaves with his first new material since 2010s >undeniable< album on hyperdub. the masssively-anticipated >full attention< is the first step in the resurrection of his patented rhythm & grime sound, the style he made his name with in the early noughties with vocalists like shola and sade ama. this time out, ruby lee ryder is his voice of choice, and her distinctive vocal has already landed the track on the bbc 1xtra playlist, with further spins on radio 1 and rinse fm, and its a fixture in the boxes of djs like skream, mistajam and target. advance club promo has generated a ridiculously positive response right across the board, with hard support from brackles, swindle, alex nut, blackdown, wylie, and many many more, setting the scene for >full attention< to become an anthemic club and commercial hit as soon as it reaches the shops. on the flip mr danjah drops his trademark gremlinz logo for two 8 bar grime smashes that have been doing the rounds on rinse fm for the last half year. >east village< is a toast to the nights hardrive label hosted at the london club of the same name, and >jeckle & hyde< (exclusive to this 12 inch) has been battered in the raves by logan sama, zomby, and elijah & skilliam just to name only a few. this marks the beginning of a hefty release schedule for the grime kingpin including more high-impact singles and remixes on the way for greensleeves, butterz and hyperdub.

after this years releases on mule electronic and smallville lawrence is back on coowned laid imprint with a real house music series- never as always. as a favorite in carsten josts cd-r box the main title rise seemed to be one of the magic deephouse tunes wether it was at the dial allnighter residency panorama bar, the laid nights at cookies berlin or some fancy hangout at the labelchiefs appartment. now for the first time only on vinyl never as always (pt.1) comes up with two dub versions by sten who hasnt shown up since ages.

decas are the artists. neaples is the place. you can have an instant breeze of his seafunk thru the carefully layered harmonics of dramas, a saxophone is hosting the grooves of this heavy blended and heavy rolled drum story. the suspance gets heavier and heavier while the drums and percussions starts movin into a total robotic-jam-style groove, chugging over a straight drum machine beat. the remaining of the neaples-funk-band is joining now, bassguitar and some guitar tappin.. but the whole thing get seriously stripped down while some deep-as-fuck chords drops in. pure 8am party drama. on the flip our berlin based italian talents analogue cops deliver some more dj friendly version of the original take, the first one see all the harmonics carefully re-layered over an overdrivin tape-house beat, lucretio and marieu full on machines for a proper panorama bar anthem. ua! on the second take our analog heroes are goin heavy on dubs, a sweepy synth and a chugging groove drive the track into a more steppy direction, the voice and the chords are now used to hypnotize the dancefloor. zombie breakdance. 350 copies limited edition only vinyl

back for his third release on hometown label thirtyonetwenty comes captain funktastic himself, william kouam djoko! if you have see him perform you know that this guy has the funk oozing through through his veins like a predatory viper going for the kill.
>cant lose my rhythm< takes you on a jazzy dreamscape, with of course all vocals are done by william himself which has become one of his signature trademarks.
>dazzling urbanite< takes thing a bit more down tempo, a perfect track to play when the first rays of light come shining throught the windows of the panorama bar.
last but not least we included remixes of the acclaimed classic >hard loving<, this time its kabale und liebe who does the honour, a name who doesnt need any further introduction!

next up on falkplatz we chose one of italys most talented and uprising producers for contemporary dance music. roberto bosco from salerno. bosco already released on francois ks wave music, on orlando voorns night vision and is currently preparing his first full length for len fakis figure label. beside that he founded his own imprint flying donkey music together with claudio mate. for falkplatz roberto produced two tracks, that catch the ears of housefanatics (good lover) as well as the hearts of the technolunatics (untitled). remixes this time come from panorama bar resident steffi, who gave the original a touch of oldschool and sadness and from the falkplatz conspiracy (oliver deutschmann & ed davenport) who mixed a crafty acid influenced warehouse banger out of the original.

autoreply offshoot stuga musik picks up where it left off with another three tracks of deadly effective, club-friendly madness. having held a residency at berlins legendary bar 25 club and recording for high calibre labels such as district of corruption, thema and little helpers, the arrival of beaner to the stuga family is something to be celebrated. he serves up miles then mccoy, a nine minute epic that effortlessly fuses tight linear drum programming with freeform sound design and loose instrumentals that thunder along towards an exciting clima

jem stones unique take on any genre is always compelling and highly individual. he made an impressive and memorable contribution to the early days of electro swing with the break-beat, dance-floor-filling flavors of his debut release on freshly squeezed, the electric circus ep (2010). now jem returns with a perfectly timed and unexpectedly fresh twist on a sound that has sometimes, in less skilled hands, become formulaic in its swift rise. the perpetual lotion ep raises the bar once again and opens up many new possibilities. this record will change the future direction of electro swing!
here the 1920s and 30s samples arent just backed by a house beat, but given such a distorting twist the whole has become something else entirely. the ep is slower and darker than before with brooding bass and deeper production that adds a vital contemporary edge.

southern california meets saturn in the first of a small series of sun ra interpretations. straight out of poobah records in pasadena, ras_g sets the bar high for this with a breathtaking version of the 1971 track >nidhamu< over a year in the making and his longest work to date its suitably fitting counter to sun ras futuristic synth revelations. bespoke cover art for each record of the series comes from stephen serrato.

yes ... we release records. yes, its marvellous to see that journey from the spring to the sea, that spark of inspiration in an artists eye as it traverses its way to a beautifully packaged piece of 180g vinyl ... but sometimes, its also nice to remember why we started a label in the first place and to visit that dusty corner of the studio where synths, patch cables and spring reverbs lie in wait, taunting us go beyond that perfect 3am comfort zone of the 8 bar loop, hazy red/orange lights and aromatic combustibles.
in order words, heres what we did last summer ... two new ifeel studio tracks to stimulate your solar sensibilities, guest starring (via the wonders of skype) richard hawleys band, a reclusive mittle european synthesist and (lest we forget) his eccentric and slightly mad octogenarian lawyer.

spring 2006 was both cruel and exciting. radiating hot helsinki nights, too much light and vivid, restless dreams about music. while chucking down a glass of cheap brandy in a local bar the idea finally materialized: lets start a record label! a label that would bring people together. proud people. people thinking of music. people doing their own thing in their own way in their own basements. and most importantly, people who understood the meaning of space between notes. after 5 years, 16 records, 85 tracks and 44 artists from 13 countries it goes without saying that those restless dreams became reality. and so did the music.

fvf records are very excited to present their second limited press, vinyl-only release. this time we present the production talents of lars heinrichs and sascha braemer aka heinrichs & hirtenfellner (for their first vinyl release in over a year) and the talented dirty doering (bar 25, stil vor talent) on remix duties. with previous excellent releases on thier own imprint supdup, highgrade and lørdag, heinrichs & hirtenfellners music combines dry and carefully structured minimal funk with infinite influences that take them well beyond the pigeon-hole. with buzzing house grooves, dubby basslines, and cruising jazz samples or swirling oriental sounds german music critics have credited them with a fresh sound, which combines the new chicago with minimal abstraction. the ohohoh ep features two original tracks by heinrichs & hirtenfellner and a remix courtesy of dirty doering of bar 25 fame.

following hot on the heels of the outstanding pimpsoul ep, bombstrikes once again maintain their scene leading formula. this time out its the turn of nick thayer to deliver the dancefloor goodies. in a style very much his own, nick raises the bar even higher with this incredibly strong three-track ep.
another superb addition to the bombstrikes collection.

at long last, night slugs drop a ep from the labels co-founder bok bok. representing his full gamut of influences as well as his labels hypercolour, bottom-heavy, club-ready aesthetic, the southside ep is an extend manifesto of a release for the south london dj / producer.
the three tracks on the 12 inch share a core sound palette, one that merges raw and convulsive acid house with functionalist 8-bar grime: the warm sound of vintage drum machines and analog bass combined with the razor-sharp, dystopian digital dread of noxious sawtooths and gliding squares.

subtlety is not the first word used in connection with most djs, but there is much more the métier of germany s gregor tresher than simply playing records, as lights from the inside attest: just as a painting or photograph appears to move if one stares at it long enough, with close listening the stratified grooves and melodies assembled on gregor s stunning third full-lenght artist album reveal an organic universe of shifting sound. meticulous attention to the latter element—melody—was of utmost concern to the frankfurt resident. not obvious, eight-bar earworms that would quickly exhaust their welcome, but musical lines that could repeat, develop and intertwine in different patterns. in this regard, lights from the inside harks back to gregor tresher s earlier releases, but as always his sound aesthetic continues to evolve in new directions.

and here it is: the second vinyl ep of niko schwinds album >good morning midnight<. it features some of the unique tracks that niko has created together with some of berlins hottest production talents. on the a side are two tracks that feature the clicky tech-house boys that are channel x, where things kick off with >back from the bar<. it sounds as the title suggests: a little wobbly, a little drunk, a little crazy, but also pretty magic. quite clearly this is an homage to one of berlins not-to-be-forgotten clubs that is unfortunately history now. but things continue on here at least with >dont turn the lights on<, a more straightforward dancefloor track, with a trumpet as the main protagonist. this is one of those tracks that keeps leading up to a real arms-in-the-air-moment if it wasn’t so damn housy at the same time. on the flip the magical connection between niko and label daddy oliver koletzki can be heard on >master of ceremony<, a chopped-up house track with epic dimensions. when things get to the piano breakdown, they get very musical and colossal before dropping back into a great house track. the stark contrast between the piano melody and the groove on this really make it. last but not least then, the original album opener >good morning< that features the singing of fran. it works great as a great album opener, but also perfectly as a slower and more thoughtful addition to a great ep

das debütalbum der gruppe von januar 1967 enthält den welthit light my fire und den song the end, der unter anderem durch den film apocalypse now wieder bekannt wurde und dessen originalaufnahme teilweise auf plattenaufnahmen wegen seines textes zensiert wurde. dabei handelt es sich um die griechische sagengestalt Ödipus, ein königssohn, der unwissentlich seinen vater tötet, seine mutter heiratet und mit ihr schläft. die textzeilen: „father i want to kill you, mother i want to fuck you“ erschienen der Öffentlichkeit als zu vulgär, wenngleich schon seit jahrtausenden selbige szene in den theatern aufgeführt wurde. weiterhin enthält das album das brecht/weill-lied alabama song.

recorded over just a few days at christmas, andy lewis releases a new mini album >41< on double 7 inch vinyl. currently putting the finishing touches to his third album proper, out on acid jazz in summer 2011, lewis had a creative spree over the holiday period and created >41< - featuring brand new tracks that wont be on the album proper - a brilliant piece of work in its own right. its so good we couldnt wait for it to see the light of day... and more to the point let you guys hear it!

hypnotizing acid-ebm-electro-wave masterpiece from düsseldorf. tolouse low trax is detlef weinrich, one of the members of german band kreidler, dj and co-owner of the düsseldorf based club/bar salon des amateurs. tolouse low trax remixes noblesse obliges already fantastic >the great electrifier< into a mesmerizing and highly original blend of electronic dub and new-wave-like techno. the other three tracks are solely by the hand of tolouse low trax. his unique signature is all over it: teutonic marching beats with layers of spaced-out, dubby electronics. the perfect soundtrack for a german party in an african cocktailbar during a full eclipse in the middle of a coup d etat. fear and loathing in düsseldorf. highly original and an absolute must-have.

geno records first release comes to you from belgium based dan d. dan comes from a traditional of both classical and jazz traditions. dan also developed a love of latin dance in his youth. once moving to berlin in 2001, dan was further influenced by the house sounds of the original panorama bar. dan himself has continued on to dj some of berlins best parties/venues including beatstreet, watergate, arena, maria, and the new panorama bar. club der visionäre has also been very important to dans musical growth. dan has had the opportunity to cut his teeth playing 10 hour marathon sets during his regular appearances since 2004. furthermore, he appeared in clubs like rote sonne (munich) and decadance (gent, belgium). friends like tobi neumann and dinky got him into production in 2003. dans first vinyl release on district of corruption lead to praise from some of the best djs in the business. the african market is quite an evolved sophomoric release for dan. the title track, african market, is a pulsating but stripped down organic percussive journey. afro-cuban rhythms lovingly exchange energy with warm analog synths and crisp techno electronic beats. the flip side, el baile, is a slow burning house jam. el baile features eerily reverberated studio recorded vuvuzela, crisply saturated jazz keys, and the same pumping afro-cuban rhythms that sets dans sound apart from others.

anthem alert! we are proud to present the long-awaited debut from london-based producer nkc. there are two proper post-funky offerings on this release, including 8-bit tropical flavoured beast >marie< and brutal offbeat tech-step masterpiece >ghettotechno<. this essential piece of aural wonderment gets its official release in the form of 300 limited hand-stamped 12 inches. this is awkward movements third release and raises the bar once more.

chilean born dinky is a long standing resident at panorama bar. her warm, technical house sound, underpinned by intricate rhythmic and harmonic elements is a much loved staple of the scene. >take me< is a wonderful meeting of thuggish house and soul-infused, feel-good energy. a surprise break leads to unexpected vibes and a brief encounter with some rhodes keys action. >polvo< is a psychedelic ride through more cerebral moments, possessing the power to truly lock you in. the extended passages of this breezy, garage-house hybrid just highlight dinkys instincts for dramatic timing.
