early support by nic fanciulli, deetron, 2000 and one, shinedoe, dubfire, mauro picotto, boris werner, karotte, lauhaus and many more!... ilario alicante put his name on the map two years ago with his breakthrough hit >living near africa< on cecille, that was played by literally every big dj on the planet and from then on gained a lot of respect with high quality productions on tenax, sci+tec or blabla.
now we are very happy to bring to you his latest creation for break new soil: the title track >streamvision< kicks off with a subtle melody, easy-going at first but then growing stronger and stronger to finally explode in the breakdown – we can already see this one setting dancefloors on fire from rome to tokyo! on the flipside ilario shows a new side of his production – with >origami< he sets free a chicago-inspired monster groove that certainly will tear the roofs off the clubs its played in to finally let the summer in!
while the original album quiet distortion still resonates on dance floors around the world, we are more than happy to present to you a wonderful and versatile remix package of select album tracks. we believe the lineup of remixers really speaks for itself:
after countless releases on his own label alleanza it was finally time for the maltese artist to break new soil. as gregor tresher received these 3 demos and was immediately convinced about their high potential and standout class. so give it up for jewel kid s bns debut
with liam peete s techno project fac3off break new soil labelowner gregor tresher will again meet the taste of all lovers of banging bigroom techno monsters. while the basic vibe always remains dark the trapez artists always finds ways to stick in some additional harmonies and vocal snippets to make that extra difference
with his new artist album quiet distortion ready for release this summer, gregor tresher once again sets sail to break new soil, proving why he is considered to be one of the most consistent artists in the universe of techno music.
since maxime dangles contribution to our head honcho gregor treshers breaking new soil vol. 7 early 2015 we received several fantastic new oevres from the frenchman. it wasnt easy to decide which ones to release but sian (octopus records) gave us a hand and focussed on fokal for his remix! anyway we are proud to release maximes debut ep for break new soil and are curious how you share our taste.
gregor tresher already liked mars bill s tracks on suara and intacto a lot but when he heard these demos he was immediately convinced to sign this new italian artist on his label break new soil. and when he received the basic channellesque remix from heiko laux from the kanzleramt, he was sure to have a true gem on his stick. do you agree
with the two fellows enrico sangiuliano & frankyeffe from italy gregor tresher again proves his talent to discover great new artists for his label break new soil. enrico s releases on drumcode and secret cinema s gem records and franky s tracks for flash and trapez were already high quality documentations of their exceptional studio skills but combining forces pushed their output to another level. peaktime techno at its best.
with label boss digweed a huge fan, bedrock is yet another perfect fit for the german and he opens his account with the mighty, melodic and kraken esque goliath and the razor-sharp lightning bolt that is stormblade .
with the ‘‘call up ep’’ they present us with three refined, peak time compositions that will elevate techno-sets for months to come. the ep’’s title track ‘‘call up’’ consists of a thick, rolling groove, that is accompanied by a subtle but monstrous sub layer. the horn sounds and delay-effect filled percussions provide an overall transcendental vibe. the ‘‘optic’’ slow burner steadily drills itself into one’’s consciousness. the massive kick drum glides through the track, while the sleek, minimal melody pattern adds an hypnotizing feel. many reasons are closing out the ep with ‘‘invasive’’. a rawer combination of moody sounds and crisp hi-hats are weaving a tight web around profound percussion sounds. a heads-down trip into the darker corners of techno.
kepler is no exception to that approach. a tough groove, backed by an enormous bass drum marches forward, while the looped melody patterns keep the energy flowing. the well-structured break downs and crisp hats will provide maximum impact on a proper dancefloor near you. cosmic vision takes us on an excursion into deep space. the sleek slow burner morphs tripped-out, effect filled pads with funk-driven percussion sounds. going full throttle midway, after a mysterious voice starts leading the way.
today gregor returns home with two slamming new tracks, both of which are the result of hours of tweaking and testing whilst on the road this summer. midas is built around a stripped back single-riff groove. minimal elements and maximum effect show that gregor still has that midas touch. on the flip and easily living up to its name is disturber. its snarling synth takes centre stage, intimidating and unsettling. but as the kick drum thumps and the intensity builds, disturber suddenly returns to the dark shadows.
to unearth a forgotten gem and bring it to a whole new audience is an unbeatable feeling. label boss gregor tresher has been keeping his very own jewel under wraps for many weeks, but the time has come to unveil his beloved anthemic set closer.
its safe to say that 2013 has been the biggest year in gregor treshers career so far. remixing depeche mode & moby, releasing his 4th full length album and completing another tour around the globe spanning over more than 8 months, there is no stopping in sight for the man.
maxime dangles makes his long awaited return to break new soil with a strong four track package full of techno madness. with the mentor ep the french man focuses on a raw and untamed approach, away from cheap sensationalism and effect overdosage

subtlety is not the first word used in connection with most djs, but there is much more the métier of germany s gregor tresher than simply playing records, as lights from the inside attest: just as a painting or photograph appears to move if one stares at it long enough, with close listening the stratified grooves and melodies assembled on gregor s stunning third full-lenght artist album reveal an organic universe of shifting sound. meticulous attention to the latter element—melody—was of utmost concern to the frankfurt resident. not obvious, eight-bar earworms that would quickly exhaust their welcome, but musical lines that could repeat, develop and intertwine in different patterns. in this regard, lights from the inside harks back to gregor tresher s earlier releases, but as always his sound aesthetic continues to evolve in new directions.
right after the success of his massive crude ep on adam beyer s famous drumcode imprint, patrick comes up with the titletrack dome - and boy what a follow-up it is! over ten minutes patrick keeps the tension high, teases us with the raw force of dome over just a few little kickdrum pauses until the track goes through the roof in on hell of a break! on the flip we have hot mess, another primetime weapon, and this one patrick produced together with per hammar, who made a name for himself with releases on great stuff, starlight and kant over the last year, but it was especially his track el salvador on mija rec. a few months ago that introduced per to a bigger audience, causing quite a stir on dancefloors worldwide!
