here it is, the first in a new mini-series from icelandic label borg ltd - homegrown ep vol. 1 marks the label s maiden voyage onto showcasing the local icelandic talent with a three-track release featuring ilo, intr0beatz and felix leifur. the a side is completely owned up by ilo s seventeen minute house-disco journey only someone real complete with a 90 s tinged rave sequence at the tail end. on the b side intr0beatz supplies fu banco, a heady slowed down house groover that keeps his signature sound and atmosphere intact. felix leifur follows with transit, shaping together in his genre bending way the dusty chords, heavily effected samples, tape hiss and other involuntary recording equipment noises into a beautiful coherency fit for both home & club duty. a great first in borg ltd s homegrown series!
danny minchella aka rogue d to the family! his debut release comes on the ten inch series of housewax! -resampled- is a real house anthem and on top we have on the b side a fantastic minimono remix! highly recommanded!

fresh from london, fulham young blood joe corti starts a new london imprint, china white. the first entry to the catalog is a four track ep coming from himself: reprising the filtered disco house vibes that caught ears on his past releases on the a-side, and ditching the samples to flex a darker, deeper side on the b. the label will be a solid home for productions from joe and like-minded fellow friends.
after 4 years promoting events and spreading happiness all over france, itís time for the lyon based crew to extend its artistic vision through their own label. if youíve already been to one of their parties you know what to expect. if not, look forward to the happiest vibe around!
the new label instereo recordings comes courtesy of dj dan, a us heavyweight who has been in the game since the 90s. while instereo has existed in digital form for some time, this new incarnation of the label brings dans full-fat sound to vinyl, and it kicks off in style with an instantly recognisable, purple tinted edit of a perennial dancefloor funk classic entitled squissh. this is an unreservedly big room record, as in your area also ably demonstrates with its immaculately produced hooks and punchy rhythm section. dan teams up with ido on that sound, whipping up a disco-funk influenced frenzy, and then he tackles scotty boy s silky smooth hey mr dj and turns it into a peak time belter.
he s back. discotronic doyen around7 returns to robsoul with three more pearly parisian jams that range from warm filtered soul to cheeky b-boy rave. we kick off with the woman behind me . a great mood-setter with a stately jack, it unfolds with a walking bassline and a sweetly filtered sample that opens up with wide flourishes on the peak.it s backed by the broken funk of u talkin to me . loopy, leftfield and prone to drop into sudden acid house switch, this will stop the talking and get everyone listening. finally we have philter . a certified hypnotiser with insistent rolling kicks, a swinging piano sample and wavey vocal loop, it s another instant lockdown from one of the most understated and class-a parisian groove sculptors we know. warm and bumping, just how we like it.... it s looking like 2018 could be another fine year for robsoul.
it s always an event when jacob korn fires up his custom-made studio set up to create another exciting house record. in fact, ep3 is a tasteful four-tracker that more than lives up on its two predecessors. -the happening- builds on funky drum patterns before rising into a break that feels like taking a bucket full of water to the chest. another burning dance floor affair is -holiday- with its percussion-driven beats and heavy staccato style synths, in all its caribbean glory. -goodbye- is driven by an irresistible sample and string combination while -thru the eyes- is riding on a cheerful drum foundation and killer sample. dancefloor heaven. as she did for ep1 and ep2 the new record is again illustrated by anna jaszpataki from dresden.
oh so coy presents its 3rd & 4th vinyl outings respectively courtesy of german resident marc heun. quality production encapsulates all eight tracks that move effortlessly from deep to discofied house. disc 1 takes a slightly experimental edge with some great sampling work and raw beats. disc 2 has a more summery feel with breezy disco house edits and filtered vocal twists.
nice price deal !!! this two track white label is a simply great. it is 2 mixes of a very good disco laden pumping club track. the a side is a real solid house groove at a steady tempo, well produced with excellent drops, breaks and edits. the flip side has a more pumping bassline and has a higher tempo and would work well on slightly harder floors
up first this time round though neg pairs with spinetti and tommy all for title-track twenty euros for dancing a smoothly evolving slice of house fuelled by dusty drums, choppy disco licks and an amalgamation of vocal murmurs.
voyage animé is a mental and spiritual trip dedicated to house music. with deep resorts to funk, disco and garage, this 4-track record invites the listener to wander in different atmospheres and places.

having bared his ego back in may 2015 and then more of his skills on a contribution to the robsoul edits collection earlier this year, long time label buddy joss moog returns with a fresh selection of beats on ítriple loopí. belying its name, weíre treated to four new sure shots from moog who, reknowned in the art of sculpting perfect party jams, has delivered once again. the stripped and simple vocal loop of the title track opens the ep, followed by the warm, buzzing bass and smooth jazzy keys of Ďetincellesí. on the flip the frenchman funks things up and breaks out the snares. disco stabs, vocal drops and rasping hats are all woven together to emphasise the classic groove. these are the breaksÖ amen. back on the 4x4 to close and josh lets the piano lead the dance on the smooth and soulful finalé of his latest robsoul treat.
we reckon it s time for a full junktion ep on outplay! you can say wide awake is an appropriate title after a wonderful 2015 with a string of ep s on sleazy beats, razor-n-tape and rose records. this four tracker explores the sound he s been developing over the years and even touches a newer side. the ep opens with the title track wide awake and embodies the signature junktion sound with a summery balearic touch. what we are is a faster synth laden affair coupled with his usual sample action. sunny side up is what the title says it is, a sunny disco track driven by a groovy bassline and a funky rhythm guitar. the ep closes down with don t mess up for a more contemplative jazzy track with some smooth sampling and afro touches.
the 320kb rmx ep is the first release on desiderare. a vinyl label dedicated to special recordings, remixes, forgotten idea s and everything in-between. the first in this series gives 4 carefully selected remixes of tracks originally released on the very sought after italian label 320kb music. heavy support from the best in the business and as always tommy delivers the goods with his unique style, the ep deserves a space in your record box!

justice, the french duo formed by gaspard auge and xavier de rosnay, is the band of a whole generation. when the two friends were still bright students in graphic design, in 2003 they made justice a place to experiment a hybrid genre between music and image, which blends pop and electronic borders, and showcases the talents of 2 fascinating passionate pop culture craftsmen, bored with hierarchy. they met pedro winter who had just founded his label ed banger records, he immediately signs them after listening to >we are your friends< which, with its joyful and vitamin-enriched electro beats combined with exhilarating voices, became the hymn of a whole generation and one of the most important tracks of the year 2000, celebrating a reconciliation of pop music and the dancefloor.
