cosmin naie aka dot13 is a young romanian artist making his debut on the first release of the r.organic label. this is a very limited edition, 180g, colored sleeve, containing tracks already supported by herodot, nu zau, janeret, los bastoneros and many others. the ep was named after the first and only romanian that reached the space in 1981, dumitru prunariu. its time to do it again.

pleasure in mind records presents its first vinyl only release. this various artists includes four tracks by different producers and aims to showcase the variety and scope the label has built up sonically. from a housier track by argentinian prodot, going through a more tech and minimalistic groove by u z z v, passing by an experimental and ambiental cut by duky to an organic breakbeat from max tolmachev & dnlk, pimrv001 brings together a combination of sounds ideal for any situation or setting.

the rising london based label is quickly defining his own and unique sound laying down the law with another live jam recorded 4 tracks release by his own boss dothedu. following the success of the first release, senseverse records has came back with lost acids ep, a rough lost minded trip with an unusual sense of refinement. the producer lets the trip s curtain rise with lost acids which takes us to a gloomy hidden place on the edge of the house and techno roots with a banging 909 and crescendo 303 which dives smoothly into the background own producer s voice, colombine acids explores the happier stage of the trip and keeps the sound on the thin line in between the 2 genres with his fat kick and the flying and clashing crashes. the b1 throws us right back deep into the dark with a slowed down and mentally twisted remix by the very well known producer florian kupfer. finally early acids rings down the curtain s trip with some fine classic house music sonorities that lead us to a dreamy and dancy closing.

for our second ep, we are shifting from manila, philippines, to our other home city, bangkok, the thai kingdom’s capital. hailing from here is dott, one of three founders of more rice, a truly home grown bangkok electronic producer, dj and the talent behind mah noi ep. dott already has a number of releases under his belt and is now a regular on the asian circuit, playing gigs around the region. at 26 years old this is quite impres- sive and we are very proud to be releasing his first pressed record under more rice.
mah noi ep embodies dott’s sound, which is deep, driven and moody, whilst keeping an organic twist throughout and clearly inspired by his home country, the key to setting the release apart and making it tasty for more rice. the careful and precise placement of vintage thai samples gives it that extra flavour and mystery that can engulf the listeners and dancers, whilst the remix by eric volta truly transports you to another dimension.

the entire label catalogue dwells in somber soundscapes, but paradoxon takes schizoid catharsis to another level. drony, loopy and moody, dotwav’s newest vinyl is a powerful weapon in any bag. raffaele attanasio makes a guest appearance with a remix of the title track that breaks the original structure.

after a very techno first release, unanim returns with another approach of the genre. it is herodot who delivers two very different tracks for his duo ep.
silent record rules the first side of this vinyl and its a monster. the rolling bassline and the powerful percussion are backed by tripping background noises. you cand also hear french experimentalist duo radiomentalle and david toops distorted voice. this one is definitely not silent and 100% destined for the dancefloor.
on a more subtle note side b features tul which is not as * loud* and a bit tool-ish. lurking sounds populate the background and the shakers provide a percussive feeling throughout the track. techno hasnt left the building !

a long time coming, the first ep from the mysterious duo bernadott finally reaches us. the golem first heard those tracks last summer and noticed his body was moving beyond his control! he therefore decided he should immediately enroll these beat-smiths before the competition took notice. introducing bernadott, the roof of love ep showcases the talent of two underground producers hailing from paris and stockholm, two diggers of the highest order, immersed in musique concrete, italo, free jazz, punk, chicago house and such, two djs devoted to tension, hips & shoulders. with upcoming releases on high profile labels, the golem proudly takes them to the forefront first, unleashing their highly original and leftfield take on the dancefloor. on side a, bernadott turns a white funk forgotten gem, expands it before turning it into a gherkin-esque acid burner with unexpected nods to juke, subtly returning to its post punk roots before you even notice. the golem also wanted to have a nice tune to share with his girlfriend, and he got his wish with side b, another post punk affair autistically turned into a dubby madchester piano choon, a quasi absurd but groovy breezy love song

this album was originally released by 12 tonar in 2006 under the moniker lost in hildurness. the first solo recording from hildur gudnadottir (who is a member of the nix noltes band and has performed regularly with mum and pan sonic). in her dreamy soundworld she plays the cello, gamba, zither, khuur and the gamelan so this cd sounds like nothing else.

orange dot loses himself in halfdrowned flats, tells stories, breaks everything with dry knocking drums. voices appear like northern lights while harmonies brave distorted basses. filigree in detail. like a monolith for the moment.
