200 records launches 200 black, a new vinyl series focusing on organic and analogue techno. its first release comes from haventepe (istanbul). after some brilliant dub-techno releases on various labels, he helps to inaugurate 200 black with distanced . the title track is a dreamy dub-techno opus nearly 10 minutes long. the b-side includes a massive techno monster steady state and the trippy sideway funk .

on the fourth unterton release the black dog present a new sound somewhere between house and techno that the black dog call darkhaus. the original version of * council flat emptiness* is an infectious, futuristic, disco-tinged version of a progressive dancefloor workout bathed in strings, mellow melancholia and heavy bass. this is preceeded by a straight to the point stripped down version that multiplies the hypnotic elements of the original. on the b-side a 9-minute-30-something remix from luke slaters l.b.dub corp project drives the original into classic slater territory where techno and groove marry and electrify each other.

another 7 inch roots release from the archives, this time featuring mike brooks in conscious roots style on an up-tempo rhythm track, re-mastered at phat dubz studio prior to release and on the flip side a dj-style version featuring dennis alcapone & earl16. the single is supplied in a picture sleeve and on transparent vinyl.

jtc is a phenomenon. one alias of the multi-talented tadd mullinix. one part of a mind that also houses dabrye, sk-1, charles manier, and halves of tnt, 2am/fm and x2. this time round, on park days, he flexes a house side that has not been seen too often in his career of 13 years. whether the driving groove of south brooks, the late night drum machine jam of argo, creals ever evolving scatter, or the delicate gallup, park days is one of those records where everyone has a different favourite. ie - a good one. we are honoured to release this mans music. a man that continually remains out of the spotlight, yet is revered by your favourite producers for at least one of his many aliases. a man that ignores trends, hype, trickery, and just returns every now and again to nudge that bar a little bit higher than he left it last.

limited reissue of this incredible and highly sought-after futuristic 12 from 1981. released on west african music, a tiny label from the ivory coast, and finding a spiritual home on the italian eclectic cosmic scene, both tracks on this 12 are brilliantly innovative and exhibit a minimal techno-esque aesthetic way ahead of their time. side as closer is a chugging sinuous flow punctuated by jerking monotone vocals, horn stabs and synth arpeggios with a strong dancefloor sensibility. flip over for stunningly weird electronic percussion workout tam tam - a crazed sparse soundscape of strange falsetto tribal chants, funky hand claps and drums, synth wobbles, spasms and tweaks. mystery surrounds the identity of the elusive artist codek but evidence points to it being an offshoot project of french new wave producer john marieux.

now, the zenker brothers are back with their first release for tresor, brandishing a matured sound and level of sensitivity yet displayed by either before. *lion in mars* is like a fresh breeze billowing through the tresor vaults. honing in on signatures from the archive and repackaging them in modern sentiment, here zenker brothers deliver a record that gleans through the generations to deliver a cunning symbiosis of techno future, past and present. on the a-side *knighthof* and *the future is you* offer driving vintage basement techno with a zenker twist, whilst b-side tracks *davin* and *cosmilian*, the eps clattering dystopic closer, blend detroit tones together with their respective ilian-proven pallets.

david flores surfaces as audio injection with no key ep, two slabs of pristine techno for the new year. after owning 2011 & 2012 with over a dozen releases as truncate, audio injection flexes some production muscle to put out a sound that’s as huge as it is hypnotic. the a side features deep thought, a seven-minute obsession around a short melodic fragment that speeds at 130 bpm through a paranoid passage of beguiling rhythm. the b side features title track no key, a demolishing groove that builds and breaks but never lets go. machined percussion and tonal beats carve their way through an arena-sized rabbit hole with detail and dimension.

the mighty visionquest get set to release the highly anticipated rain from young shining star subb-an. a monster of a release, the a-side features the haunting vocals of visionquest favourites footprintz, while the b-side welcomes a collaboration with hollands tom trago featuring label co-founder and no.1 seth troxler on vocals.

the green series is the continuing art and music project from bleep.com, giveupart, and photographer shaun bloodworth. the project will be a series of tracks exploring techno music released on limited 12 inch with deluxe art prints as well as on digital formats. the double a-side single features the pairing of objekt and cosmin trg and brings you raw techno. both tracks were mastered by rashad at dubplates and mastering, berlin.

turn on the strobe lights and the fog machine. shtum returns with its second record, this time by dresdens very own kryptic universe. his ep comes with five cuts full of dark and gritty future jazz. his techno funk is playful as it is evocative. just listen to the bass line in *a light in the box* and the appropriately titled *critters funk*. not to mention the crazy piano in the title song and the rather hard-hitting *dark sky*. on top we got the mighty xdb on remix duties and his take on *signals*. again, the illustration on the b-side label is by aram haydeyan.

another clever techno release with emphasis on quality and structure and not forgetting the input from detroit dub merchant luke hess. *terminator reserve* is dominated by a thick bass line, razor sharp percussion, devastating juno stabs and with tonnes of analogue warmth coming from its abyssal depths. the luke hess remix provides the deep qualities of the original however its much more repetitive in its nature making it truly hypnotic and one you cannot help but get completely lost in. on the b side *mediator* is rough and ready ... booming kicks, dynamic bass shifts accompanied by the right amount of snare and filter inputs make this one of the toughest on the release not forgetting that its split down the middle with a heavy 303 bleed. highly recommended! *stilled* runs off in the opposite direction to the other track it shares the b with as its laden with detroit influenced floating chords and percussion.

following a 4-release strong 2012, djebali) is set for its first ep of 2013. once again a 2-track package, the a side throws up a classic house drum-kick warmed up by a soothing melody, while a sexy and sultry number on the reverse reminds us why djebali is up there with the best deep house producers of paris. as before, topping off the offering is a vinyl loop on each side. released as part of the djebali limited vinyl series, all tracks are arranged and mixed by djebali, and made with analogue gears.

the first installment of alex agores mizz honey ep ensured the prolific german producer debuted fully on the say ahh! label. this second edition of the mizz honey series maintains those high standards and hopefully ensures the door remains open for subsequent agore output on the label run by the brotherly duo of mk and scottie deep. *x* sets the tone, looking to a salsoul gem for vocal inspiration and swamping the sample in a thick, bumping house groove spread across the a side that must have instantly grabbed the brothers kinchen. the flip pairs the finger snapping, soulful slam of *ice crystals* with the immediately infectious piano house business of *everyday (u lift me up)*.

dinamuzac clues you in: 19 minutes of psychedelic lunacy in one piece on side a named *sanctionism*, two atmospherically diverging electro/breakbeat-tracks processing a variety of tonal influences from the 1980s on side b! all designed with the most trashy analogue and low fidelity sounds possible to create something beyond common sense - this is *lo-fi twinkle* by dinamoe!

from the tropics comes whiskey disco, a sneaky re-edit label bent on dredging the decanter for diffident dancefloor genius from latent disco perpetrators. it is loosely connected to sleazy mcqueen and his assorted cohorts. whiskey disco #17 is an all-out return to the glory of filtered disco house! it is packed with disco breaks and cut ups, some recognizable and some obscured through time. pairing the editing fire of eddie c and alkalino on the a side and the groove-based filtering of cole medina and osmose on the b-side. make no mistake, each of these will fit perfectly into either house or disco sets and can bridge the gap betwixt the twain.

Ø phase remixes. not many people get the chance to remix robert hood, but Ø phase (token) got the stamp of approval from the master. the original is also included and gets the full a-side!

returning to demo disc, yam who? brings another huge release and stays with the edit traditions of the label. n funkin takes side a which is a ten minute killer version of the gap band classic. romance the edit beefs up and reworks the culture club. another night ends the ep with great soul.

the latest offering from the balearica imprint featuring more top quality sun-kissed gems. first up is derrick harriots *black skin blue eyed boys*, a fantastic reggae disco cover version of the equals classic originally released on the mega rare *acid rock* lp back in 1982. following this bomb is the funky party killer, david lampells *iranian groove*. the flip side features the exceptionally hard to come by 12 inch version of *praise jah* by trinidadian singer oluko imo that captivates with its predominant funk bassline and inventive keys. finally, we have amadeos hugely in-demand *memories*, a spacey balearic disco groover that has been popping up on many djs most wanted lists ever since it was one of the standouts of harveys brilliant *sarcastic disco mix*. wonderful stuff!

the 7th release on aniara marks the debut of henrik bergqvist from stockholm, sweden. two tracks of no frills, hands-on house, made with unbridled love for music, machines and the simple joy of dancing your ass off. a-side *go for what hurts* is all about the strings and the slamming beat, propelling you into the early morning vibe, while the b-side *spin* has what can only be called a truly irresistible groove. it is the type of track that takes the party from a simmer to a rapid boil!

last year kyodai dropped breaking, which to date is the biggest selling release on local talk. now the brothers are back with in our opinion a future house anthem. the scene is a classic piano house cut that’s impossible to resist and together with one the coolest vocal samples we’ve ever heard we think this has the potential to go really big. when the breakdown drops we’re pretty sure everybody in the club will chant. but as if this was not enough we also got another big tune on the b-side. moving is the continuation of “breaking” and goes along the same lines with its crossover jazz styled house. once again kyodai delivers a supa solid house production with large jazz breakdowns and old school vocals that’s right up their with ”breaking”. this is also why we called it…breaking pt.2. kyodai is currently working on their debut album for local talk which is due later this year. they’re also travelling around the world with their amazing live dj set that we highly recommend. trust us when we say that these two brothers really now how to turn up the heat in a club…serious biz!

as the london & berlin based somethinksounds imprint approaches a tenth release since its inception in 2010 we have learnt that although you can never be too sure of what they are going to serve up next, you can be sure its going to be of the highest quality. whether it be unearthing exquisitely produced idm by lucky paul, future house sounds from rising stars such as eliphino and ossie (black orange juice) or straight up club bangers by some of the biggest hitters in the game (gadi mizrahi of wolf + lamb), this time they deliver what could be one of the most infectious vocal drops of 2012 on artifacts sensational double a-side the way it do/we trapped.

the new year starts for raum with the second single by two of our key artists teaming up again, namely christian burkhardt and sascha dive. the a side is produced by sascha alone and is definately standing out from his more house related productions of the last months. halfway is a true peak time monster that already got deck sharks nervous throughout the end of last summer in a few sets of djs like ricardo villalobos or raresh for example just to name the most important ones.

the a-side of avida002 was created by the romanian producer mihai popoviciu. with his reformulation of *whispering* he succeeds in forging a keen and dynamic tech-house remix, not lacking of deepness, under the temperament of sonorous drumrolls. he artfully bridges past the original mix and hones an overall dancefloor-tailored release, which must not pass by house-lovers.

d-floor is a new label from the italian crew comprising by nice7, leon and pirupa. the debut ep comes from frankie watch (ops records, tenax) and gets remixed by nice7 (noir music, defected) and pirupa (desolat, defected) a hot mixture of classic house with a breakbeat-influenced b-side.

sampler 2 kicks off with scbs dissipate, a gritty 4/4 number thats been driving dancefloors crazy with its seemingly constantly ascending intro. this is definitely one of scbs finest productions to date and hugely sought after by his followers. basic soul unit provides the aa side, hot off the back of his debut nonplus 12 he continues in the same vein with untoward. this is heads down techno of the finest quality and this time hes thrown some acid into the equation which bubbles and brews into a monster of a track.

fold cut his production teeth as one-half of the much lauded london deep house outfit homepark. his first solo release to date, this ep reflects folds extensive knowledge of house and feeling for the dancefloor. a-side slime perfectly fuses driving staccato percussion with classic deep house warmth. moving patterns is a more laidback affair combining soaring vocals with an irresistible bassline that harks back to the early days of jungle. the ep is a given a special twist by an unforgettable technofied remix of slime from fellow londoner ethyl.

vae victis cant hide their love and passion for raw house and techno. on this 5th release there is another fine selection of hybrids between styles perfectly expressing their love for genre bending music. durant exsists out of a small collective of producers with main roles for steve murphy, die roh and lucretio. the dove ultimatum, a 4 tracks ep of punchy analogue electronic music! on the a-side lay general motors and at ten, 2 broken beat electro techno tracks a la drexciya showing the hardest and most experimental side of the project. while on the flip the trio bring things on a housier field, though staying loyal to the a-side vibe by delivering 2 dark and obsessive raw house tracks.

mule musiq now proudly presents eleven unreleased compositions by roedelius produced between 1990 and 2001. all of them are pearls of electronic deepness that show another side of the man that lives in the little lower austrian town baden. his famouse ultra sweet piano melodies can be heard – but they are not the centre of the productions. instead a more electronic side of his genius call the tune. with a minimalistic approach he let synth melodies highfly while some droney, melancholic atmospheres enlarge in the background.

instruction is a new label based in rome. the politicy of label is only vinyl (300 ltd press), we want to expand our concept of underground music and for this reason we start this adventure with hakim murphy. the quality of the sound is the basis of our project for this we prefer products made with analog machine. analog schema of hakim murphy is a trip into industrial chicago. *hyperspace gate* (side a) is a mix of deep and techno chicago sound with space pad and amazing drum. *bumps* (b1) is more static, perfect for a sound dark and full. *throw up (maple ave)* b2 has a more minimal sound, amazing for after-hours psychedelic session ... have a good trip with instruction01!
