born in canada, now residing in leeds, 21 year old producer nathan micay - bwana is the latest artist to join the somethinksounds roster. with zero production experience, bwana only started making tunes at the start of 2011. fast forward 18 months and he has already signed tracks to canadian label infinite machines (over and done ep), to mad decent imprint the jeffrees (cant you just / this is real) and featured upon the playlists of tastemakers mary anne hobbs, rob da bank and rinse fms monki.

once again the leeds born, london based producer dazzles with his abstract take on house, garage and everything inbetween. deep in stuttering samples, pirate bass tones and snapping 808s the talented young producer futher develops his colourful style and fuzz laden sounds pallete. eliphino never fails to amaze. always floor friendly, original and boundary pushing.

introducing black orange juice for 2012 … a cosmic crew of dance floor saviours. nomads of the musical galaxy who are crazy in love and love craze. brought together by ossie of hyperdub records fame. his >tarantula< track was selected in the fact top 50 for 2011, not forgetting the awesome joe goddard >gabriel< remix for greco roman which took his sound to another level and which won him fans the world over… the all singing black orange juice, found it’s sweet spot when ossie recruited two of his closest compadres, paul black and orial, partners in crime with a history of gospel choirs, r&b quartets and lending their vocals to some of londons finest underground heros. they blend the best elements from the uk undergound with a nod to the talents of roska, jamie jones, scratcha dva and mosca, and a wave to those infectious vocal-house sounds reminiscent of hercules and love affair and azari & iii. the sound is both unique and dangerously infectious…
