chicago’s own ricardo miranda is back on neroli with his latin soul brothas project. this time exploring the deeper sides of his sound with jams like ‘moog sessions’, ‘dizzy vibes’ and ‘friday grooves’. while ‘otra voz’ recalls some of his previous latin influenced tracks on neroli.

latin soul brothas drop this limited white label 12 inch featuring 2 war edits from the youngblood soundtrack from 1978. cordell sweetdaddy johnson delivers on the a-side with a fresh edit of flyin machine (the chase). on the flip youngblood (livin in the streets) gets the lsb treatment. hand stamped white labels.

neroli is back for a warm autumn with an array of new releases. first up is ricardo and the latin soul brothas once again with a heavy 4 track ep mixing the deepness with the latin sound of his origins. >808 signatures< is raw and deep as it could get, >voices< features once again fellow chicago star glenn underground for a classic latin soul brothas jam. on the flipside ricardos homage to the classic >faces< drum track, and finally a deep and long journey into sentimental house called >mental samurai< ft. hernan cronner.

loftsoul is the moniker of renowned dj uchikawa masahiko. he has been a dj for more than 25 years, and is deeply involved with the japanese nightclub scene since its early days. his borderless and genre-straddling playing style, from soul, jazz, dance classics, deep house, to techno tells of the impassioned music life of dj uchikawa masahiko. in addition to running regular parties at his club loft in nagano, (which has hosted djs such as joe claussell, jerome sydenham and glenn underground) and premier at loop, uchikawa has been recording tracks as loftsoul, and collaborating with pianist makoto kuriya as rhythm of elements. >soul inspiration< sees loftsouls continued collaboration with chicago house stalwart glenn underground alongside ricardo miranda aka the latin soul brothas. >soul inspiration< is a deliciously deep groove with trademark virtuoso piano for some esoteric soulful dance floor action. the b-side sees the latin soul brothas slow it down for them electronic soul of the moog mix. finally, dj uchikawa and hide koyama provide an essential dub.
