sofie hein ist bekannt als komponistin, bassistin, programmiererin und sängerin des berliner gitarrenpop-duos wagner & pohl. mit ihrem soloprojekt lucyhoneychurch hat sie den soundtrack für die dokumentation >berlinized - sexy an eis<, ein film über die neunziger jahre in berlin, produziert. zur festivalpremiere erscheint am 20. april 2012 das mini-album >berlinized - longing and belonging< auf vinyl mit sechs titeln aus den filmscores, darunter ein remix des schweizer musikers und radio-djs oliver peter. geräusche und stimmungen der soundtrack-titel wurden inspiriert von industriellen klängen und krachigen gitarren der 90er jahre. mit hilfe von field recordings, beispielsweise von schrottplätzen, generiert lucyhoneychurch verschiedenste elektronische samples, und diese reichen von kompromisslosen beats bis zu harmonischen klängen. die tracks sind clubbig, poppig, sphärisch und manchmal auch brachial.
