elcome to smallville, rhythm of paradise. we are big fans of michele lamacchias music since he released paradise on his debut 12 as rhythm of paradise on cosmic rhythm. this track breathens out everything we love about house music- deepest rhythms and dope production, timeless sounds - and the mighty loon. whenever we played this track since it came to light, this was a highlight of the night. we approached michele to send some love for his music and he send over this ep- 3 tracks plus a shimmering remix from his buddy nicola loporchio aka cosmic garden, who is running the cosmic rhythm label. we are delighted to present these as smallville 53, comes with a full cover art by the one and only stefan marx.

new york city based further reductions is the live project from husband and wife shawn (aka vapauteen, 400ppm, let er est) and katie o sullivan (aka rose e kross, ppg). back in 2014 they released their gorgeous debut album on cititrax records. the album was an adventurous trip, where they pushed forward a unique sound. after all those years there will be a follow up to this ep on knekelhuis. expect a fusion of different sounds, grimy and pretty at the same time.

we hope you like this ep as much as we do, resolute label resolute label s tenth release, the nest ep , features the head honcho himself, elon. written and produced entirely in nest s brooklyn based studio, this ep is a collaborative project that showcases vintage gear such as the tr-808, 909, prophet 6, tb-303 and sh-101 to name a few. the ep kicks off with the title track, a stripped back number featuring arpeggiated synths, warm pads and 303 stabs, co-produced by bulgarian live maestro, kink, an industry vet who needs no introduction. on a2, elon teams up with the machine obsessed italian, mass_prod, for fractious , a techno number with swirling synths and reverberated vocal stabs that echo throughout. on the flipside, elon collaborates with techno don alexi delano aka adny to produce flirtface , a groovy 303 bassline track with resonant synth licks that keeps the mood rolling. the b2 vinyl exclusive track, meander , features a second collaboration with kink. offered as a digital exclusive and co-produced by david scuba, last call features a modulated bassline and intricate drum programming that effortlessly rolls along.

as proprietors of the will & ink label, yaleesa hall & malin genie have been maintaining a busy and consistent release schedule of top notch techno sounds, largely releasing their own, well received, productions. the duo appeared on hypercolours 10 years compilation in 2016 with the excellent buchan trap, and weve been blessed to secure a full single release with the on-point pair. the mechanical funk of artin swings with plenty of assured groove, the shuffling hats, dense kicks and dubby stabs that ping pong across this fierce production mark this out as a real killer cut. dario & marco zenker, aka the zenker brothers, take time out from their busy ilian tape operations to remix artin into a brutal yet funky techno goliath. congas perpetually roll forward, with frenetic 909 hats and raw and ready stabs in what may well be one of the zenkers finest remixes to date. the essence of funk continues in hall & malins music, with cahen, a great slab of compelling techno that never slips too far into darkness, instead keeping an ever evolving groove and some abstract drone like synthesis to keep the mood buoyant. wrapping up the release is brown, a track that finishes as urgently as it starts, perhaps with a cap doffed to the purpose maker sounds of a certain jeff mills, but broadening the palette to allow some trippy sound architecture and an effective breakdown mid way through. modern day techno supplied by a duo that will most certainly flourish over the coming months, yaleesa hall & malin deliver the goods aplomb on this hypercolour single.

hundebiss bossman simone trabucchi - a pivotal figure of the italian scene - debuts his still alias on pan with a batch of banging, multi-layered dancehall tracks inspired by the complex historical links between his hometown, vernasca, with jamaica, and italy’s colonial past in ethiopia. part of a wider visual arts project, invernomuto, helmed alongside simone bertuzzi, and comprising a series of sculptures, installations, a book, and a long-feature experimental documentary under the title ‘negus’‘, simone takes cues from a “cleansing counter-ritual performed by lee ‘scratch’ perry in the vernasca square where 80 years earlier, an effigy of haile selassie i was burned” to cook up a madd set of dancehall tracks voiced by six milan-based, african-italian vocalists and singers...

john cohen aka dead fader first arrived on the label in 2016, with it works 1 - a brace of warping, high energy electronic music compositions that while largely unclassifiable in genre, maintain a gloriously vibrant, emotive sensibility that owes much to early idm excursions, and the more abstract tenets of the krautrock genre. that said - the artist cites anything from kanye west to bach and back again as informing the decidedly experimental and potentially confounding work - and his latest offering for the milan based label continues to riff on this open ended mesh of influence to great effect. the original material is buoyed by a formidable remix package, featuring downwards affiliate jk flesh - who turns in a caustic reinterpretation of fyi, roly porter of vexd and tri angle fame, who takes on raw food, and planet mus konx-om-pax, whos reimagining of life cycle closes out proceedings. its an admirable line up, in keeping with the aesthetic concerns of cohens excellent lp - and the chosen artists turn in respectful but wholly personal work - making for an excellent addition to growing parachute discography. parachuterecords.

nice price deal !!! for release number six marco faraone and norman methner welcome branko stojanov to the u&#1048,,cag&#926,, family. top and tailing the ep with his two originals branko opens with >oprosti<. a melodic number featuring a floating chord over a sharp beat. this is followed by the first of two remixes of >kao staklo<. darren roberts aka deepbass rolls out one of his trademark reworks with a deep and trippy seven-minute opus. the b side opens with swedish mastermind skudge who delivered a groovy and psychedelic minimal remix of >kao staklo<. before we re finally introduced to the original title track with its misty atmospheres and melancholic grooves. a rock solid first release.

having previously released music on wolf music, futureboogie and recently his own label fate and fiction recordings, lee pattison aka thrilogy delivers the 18th release on omena. completing the package is the most famous newcastle producer in mexico right now, man power.

ben jacobs aka crackazat first made a name for himself when he was still living in bristol and released on ep on the city s futureboogie label, which has also signed music from the likes of julio bashmore, crazy p and outboxx. early in his career crackazat was also the official warm up act for an at the time up and coming artist called floating points, who now needs no introduction as one of the world s leading electronic music producers. moving to sweden shortly after the futureboogie release, crackazat made contact with the local talk owners mad mats and tooli, and after a couple of single/ep releases signed his debut solo album crescendo. the last couple of years crackazat has had an explosion of global popularity, which has led to playing gigs all over the world, and releasing tracks and remixes on labels ranging from josh wink s ovum, joey negro s z records and eureka in japan. classically trained with a strong jazz influence, crackazat has a distinctively individual sound that fuses funk with soulful vocals and the electronic bass music associated with his former home of bristol. eloquent and intelligent, rainbow fantasia is a masterpiece that showcases one of electronic music s most exciting talents.

nice price deal !!! born near the french border and growing up in the 90’s, dirk lamprecht aka dml developed a strange but even more so strong interest in hardcore-techno. but this style quickly became too limited for him and he adopted the sound of detroit, carl craig, kenny larkin and robert hood became the most influencial artists for him. over the years he became affiliated with an even greater spectrum of musical influences, ranging from all sorts of electronic music to jazz and even world music. in addition he graduated as an audio engineer and started to perform as a live act in 2002. more knowledge consequently leads to a much more diverse way of producing own tracks. in 2007 dirk lamprecht made his debut under his alias >dml< on the legendary label harthouse. his productions range from tribalistic via hypnotic, with a hint of detroit under his real name and from a touch of minimal, through melodramatic to straight techno under his alias dml

nice price deal !!! following our quest for inventive approaches within the sometimes tired and highly commodified house / tech house / techno / minimal or whatever you call it scene, we ve gone this time for landesvatter. regardless of having already signed a few full lenght lps on the highly esteemed normoton as well as on under_line and others, joachim landesvatter prefers to keep a low-key atittude. he offers us two great tracks, each one followed by a very special remix. the original of nome is a highly bouncy digitech house track for the dancefloor, with an infectious sinewave to keep you hooked from beggining to end. the remix of nome, in charge of arp aubert (marco niemerski aka tensnake & stephan lorenz) who run the great mirau musik, comes on the form of a hysterical dub house track that literally puts >the roof in the air<. we recommended for full effect to keep the volume on the red. as usual, the second half of the release follows at a quieter pace. hausse is a track on a out to lunch tradition, greatly influenced by detroit but at the same time distancing itself from the current plethora of nostalgics. in-house duo taron-trekka closes the package with a deep remix, rich on freaky jazz touches. we lack words to describe it.

fushara aka thushara goonewardene is a london based electronic musician working with breakbeats, samples and synthesiser. a constant theme for his music is urban decay. from the late 90s fushara has been involved with the london scene as a raver, dj, and producer. he has produced experimental work for labels such as pineconemoonshine, mjazz and more recently scientific recordings. in 2015 he set up an imprint lone foundation to showcase experimental bass music collaborating with daat and others. more recently he has made a return to work with breakbeat collaborating with infest for one of his tracks on his debut on criterion records and has signed to flex recordings for a forthcoming ep. here he makes his bow on 7th storey projects with two amen-driven monsters - the a side features ascension , an epic roller with industrial atmospherics and haunting vocal snatches. this is backed up with nerve on the b side, a nine and a half minute militant amenistic assault that hits hard, just the way we like it! we re delighted to welcome fushara to our roster of talent, we are sure you will be hearing plenty more from the man going forward!

per martinsen aka mental overdrive is one of norwegian dance musics founding fathers. alongside friends such as bjorn torske, biosphere, rune lindbaek and dj strangefruit, martinsen was integral in laying the foundations of norways now blossoming dance music scene during the late 1980s and early 90s. as a producer, he cut his teeth making house, techno and hardcore for belgian imprints ssr and r&s records at the turn of the 90s. he was a regular at the r&s studio in ghent, programming and mixing for other artists including joey beltram. since then, per has continued to produce and release quality electronic music, both under his mental overdrive alias (see releases on full pupp, smalltown supersound, rett i fletta and his own love od communications imprint), and as part of outfits such as frost (alongside his other half, aggie peterson) and illumination/ chilluminati. per is featured heavily in ben davis and pete jenkinsons documentary film chronicling the rise of norwegian dance music, ‘northern disco lights.
