the ppa duo outta london is back with another burning hot 7inch on gamm. just like on the first 7inch they go for two rare jazz-funk tracks where they not only rework the originals but also add their own instrumentation on top. song for you (by popcorn) got a real nice boogie funk feel and sounds like an early 80s production from the uk even though its actually a rare florida production. green machine is jazz-funk original by o donel levy but now re-tweaked and with vintage clavinet and percussion added over the original track. another ppa home run!
smbd aka simbad is back with his third seasonal ep on gamm. after a long and dark winter smbd thought we all could need some uplifting and soulful spring music...church style! these three gospel boogie/disco jams have been his personal dj weapons over recent years but now they re given a sweet edit twist for your dancing pleasure. it doesn t really get more uplifting than this!
the first ep with mr al kent did so good we just had to make a follow up... just like on the first ep we stick to the formula with a lush mid-tempo philly jam on the a side, over on the b, banging it out with a big disco stomper. together you get a 12inch that combines the best of both worlds one for the warm up / end of the night sessions and another for the peak hours. a seriously good value 12inch release

thatmanmonkz and simba have both been dropping loads of tight house releases this year. over at gamm hq we ve been admiring their music from afar but have now managed to team them up together with a solid ep of house inspired reworks. split up over 4 tracks they snap elements from hip hop (tribe quest), r&b (e. badu) and disco. it s all deep, edgy and comes with a real gritty feel...just the way we like it.
supreme chicago dj and world traveller jamie 3.26 comes on board with the gamm fam with a diverse two track ep. the opening track is a 11.24 min long philly gospel workout that is just as uplifting as its a real treat to tweak in the club (= isolater adapted). it s definitely one for the hard working djs. but to show that jamie s range is wide he delivers an even longer jam on the flip that clocks in at 14.08 mins...ouch! this time jamie goes italo (but not that cheesy shit) with a fantastic edit of barsotti s music box classic -whole lotta love- - chicago style!
smbd aka simbad is back on gamm turf again after a longer break and is planning a few eps with seasonal themes for gamm. the first ep is summer and as you might expect he delivers three tasteful summer influenced reworks and remixes which we hope will be your perfect dj weapons over the summer months. if the broken(ish) co-op with alphabet s heaven of bootsy collins (rather be with you) won t do it for you or the supa soulful colonel abrams tribute (table 4 2) don t grab your attention, we guarantee that the stunning 4/4 rework with mike lowrey of jazzy jeff s summer classic (summertime) will be the cut at any summer festival...big jam if u ask us!

this ill little 10- release from ukokos got two reworks (not edits) that flips a classic steely dan track and a rare polish jazz-funk gem from krystyna pronko. watcha got twists steely dan into a fierce breakbeat nugget with a strong dance floor appeal while saison blends eu jazz-funk and funked up electronic layers that sparks memories of old school carl craig productions. just wait for the disco breakdown... bad ass!
the prescription pricing authority duo hails outta london town and delivers the second 7inch inch release ever on gamm! with a slab of funk infected disco on the a (1-2-1) and a jazz-funk-fusion jam (lucky duck) on the flip we hope this lil 7inch will own a permanent space in your 7inch inch box. its a pretty bad ass release that comes with a classic vintage dinked (big hole) label design
pascal garnier aka krewcial is a belgian beat maker turned mc turned producer turned dj. he s been dropping soulful music on labels like bbe, pias, we play house and lumberjacks in hell since he began in the early 90s. lately he s been focusing on more disco(ish) sounds and on this first ep on gamm, krewcial goes all over the place with a wide range of disco inspired edits. you get everything from vocal nyc disco, jazz-funk disco, philly disco and beautiful mid tempo groover...all very soulful of course! proper dj action with some real nice artwork by our in house maestro designer michal rafaj.
nick the record is one of the uk s most respected record dealers as well as a highly gifted dj of the underground disco, afro, soul, funk and house scene since the early 90s. for those who don t know he was 1/2 of soul ascendants that released some serious fela inspired house on nuphonic records in the late 90 s. he s currently enjoying a well deserved hype due to his heavy compilations on z records and various remixes. for his first release on gamm he goes all disco with two big reworks that are sure to get the heads moving. lifeforce theme is a tribute to the japan collective where he was resident dj for over 20 years. recordnition is a heavy percussion n philly disco burner that got that deep nyc disco feel all over it. nick definitely got the records.

manchester original sameed comes through on gamm with two tasty noodle nuggets based on his food experiences from vietnam where he currently resides. his simple yet effective approach is best described as sample-friendly underground dance music with influences of disco, soul and jazz. on his gamm debut the first noodle dish comes with a heavy disco and jazz-funk feel (bun) that together with some gritty vocals gives us a peak time jam to die for. for desert, sameed delivers chao which is way darker and chops up some deep jazz samples with some 4/4 rhythms. again, simple but oh so effective
the dub album any discerning house music lovers will enjoy! a playful mixture of modern beats with deep roots reggae influences, all heavily processed in an old-fashioned manner with a political and social messages expressed through.
after a longer than usual break gamm enterprises is back on black plastic but more important... we got a brand new design! for those who don t know gamm has been delivering dance music of the blacker kind for almost 15 years but always with the same look. basically, a visual facelift was long overdue. but we think you ll feel it as much as we do and it really works beautifully with our musical ideology. so, for the (new) premier release we got an incognito producer that is rumoured to come from a small town in mexico. having finally agreed for a brief skype call he appeared wearing none other than a bright luchador mask and giving one-word answers with a strong mexican accent. no matter how convincing that was we still can t help thinking his name sounds pretty close to another producer that is to put it mildly, pretty hyped at the moment. musically the ep is ranging from percussive carnival disco (carnival in manchester) to brazilian fusion grooves (jazz in italics) and independent disco/funk (dues paid fast). either way you ll definitely find something that will work your party. gamm is back and back with musical vengeance!
the paris soulful disco scene is pretty hype right now and young pulse is definitely one of the key players. after three highly successful eps on gamm, young pulse is now set for his fourth release in the celebrated paris edits series. as always with young pulse we re served the blacker and more soulful side of disco and this time we get a proper prime time philly stomper on the a side and a uplifting feel-good boogie tune on the b. together with the new (and very beautiful) design we got another gamm winner folks!

in the heart of madrid the el barrio djs have been one of the biggest gamm supporters over the last 10 years or so, spinning our gems in various jazz clubs in the spanish capitol. we are now overly excited to have them onboard gamm with an absolutely stunning 3 track ep. the el barrio guys really know how to twist and rework various tunes into one song and the art of editing have never sounded better than now.
part one of aroops brazil breakdown series was a big hit among the main players on the jazzy scene with airplay from gilles peterson and kev beadle etc. this second edition will definitely please all fans of the first volume but should also make him some new fans. on this release you will find 3 tracks in various tempos and sound but with one common detail ... brazil! all three tracks have their own sound but are designed to rock any party where the summer and sun is in focus.
oh yes, this a heavyweight bad boy on gamm from french beatmaker/producer izem. after his extensive travels around the globe the sound on the ep is influenced by africa, cuba as well as the middle east.
itt is an electronic take on a classic fela joint, celia (cruz) goes along a similar route but on the latin tip. both are pretty nasty and a near perfect marriage between futuristic productions and raw retro samples. finishing off the ep we get served a slice of arabic boogie using hipnotics hard to find boogie gem *are you lonely* and some fierce middle eastern vocals.
jm aka jonny miller, a prolific uk producer with over 23 years in the game shipped over four killer reworks to the gamm headquarters a while back. after the first listen we were immediately hooked. with tasteful measures jm have taken some of our favourite fela kuti, d angelo, weldon irvine and bill withers tunes and turned them into something new and highly exciting. you cant get more gamm than this ... proper!

another g.a.m.m sureshot !
after three sold out releases on gamm the edit king the reflex is back with vol.4 in his re-vision series! this time around he goes slightly more rare groove-ish than before with three amazing re-edits.
first up blood sweat & tears gets a breakbeat rework that kills the original by the miles if you ask us. the dope jazz brake in the middle is extra nice.
to follow up we go on a funky blues trip on *gone is the thrill* and last but not least a hot (!) ohio players jam gets funked up to the max.
the reflex and gamm have done it again!

revivra is back on gamm with two seriously well produced re-edits (or remixes?) on the soulful boogie tip. just like last time this is just not some quick 5 min fixes but hand crafted reworks that takes the original tracks to the next level with loads of added live elements. the a-sides take on midways set it out is so good it almost makes the original sounds like the remix. with a beautiful live string intro it explodes into a proper boogie winner that easily could have been produced by any of the big producers from late 70s. on the flip revivra goes back to his deep love for marvin with +11 min excursion of mercy mercy me. epic is an understatement!
gamm have been sleeping for a few months but is now back with a bunch of hot new releases. first up is an ep for those of you that are down with the funky latin sounds. buenos aires producer doctor stereo have delivered us two massive afro/latin jams with mucho caliente funk rhythms. if you are a fan of the old school quantic stuff this one will be solid in your dj sets. la bomba!
ok, we know what youre problem thinking…not another marvin edit! but hold your thoughts, this is something extraordinary and one of the best arranged and produced (not edited) tracks weve ever put out on gamm (no joke). with extra added keys and various production elements this is a 10 min and 52 seconds long boogie monster that will take you on an emotional ride youll never forget. yes, its that hot! but the flip isnt bad either with the revivra crew going uptempo with a super rework or remix (your choice) of crown heights affairs all-time ballroom classic. just like with the marvin track theyve turned the track inside out to an almost 10 min long disco cavalcade. the weekend starts and ends with this fantastic ep
with two highly successful eps on gamm our stockholm turntable master will-rock is now back with his 3rd and in our opinion strongest ep.
this time he takes on beyonce, hooking up her vocals with a classy maceo funk classic. on the flip hubby jay-z gets his revenge when his 99 problems classic gets funked up with fatback bands >wicky wacky<. trust us … this one rocks the party big time! as a bonus we also left you with a nice edit of the original >wicky wacky< jam as well.
gamm proudly presents the reflex, a new and rising star within the edit scene. after his edits made big noise on soundcloud they are now finally coming out on two separate gamm releases. note, these are not just standard edits but fully reworked productions using multitracks, original samples and even live elements. the second ep by the reflex delivers three outstanding reworks. first up is a killer stomping breakbeat take on marvins & tammy terrells >aint no mountin high enough<. next is a 60s soul twist on amys >rehab< hit. the best is saved for the last when mavins >whats going on< gets an tasteful beatless rework … simply beautiful!

bloodfire (aka daz-i-kue from bugz in the attic) is probably one of the hottest producers right now. even though we re usually dead tired of bootys with jay z and beyonce this was so good there was no way we could let this one slip. trust us, the ladies will shake their b hinds to this big time and if this release dont go down nothing will! hollywood comes in two versions, the vocal mix is a straight up party broken beat/r&b cut while the flip is a raw 4/4 mix perfect for your dark basement sound systems
