manchester original sameed comes through on gamm with two tasty noodle nuggets based on his food experiences from vietnam where he currently resides. his simple yet effective approach is best described as sample-friendly underground dance music with influences of disco, soul and jazz. on his gamm debut the first noodle dish comes with a heavy disco and jazz-funk feel (bun) that together with some gritty vocals gives us a peak time jam to die for. for desert, sameed delivers chao which is way darker and chops up some deep jazz samples with some 4/4 rhythms. again, simple but oh so effective

on local talk s 74th release it s about time to get real...and we re not only talking about the music! this a heavy and political record that through music expresses the constant struggle for many african americans living in the us today. or like jamie 3:26 said after he first heard sameed s initial version - it instantly hit me with the raw pain and emotion of the lyrics. there is so much struggle in the world today, many black men and women are in emotional, mental and spiritual battles. the message is delivered over two tracks, testify and can t u . both tracks are using the same themes and samples but with a distinct difference on the end result. on the a side we find chicago legend jamie 3:26 teaming up with amsterdam s new shining star masalo (brighter days crew) for a gospel inspired disco / house jam that comes with a slight warehouse feel and a thumping bassline that is 100% on point on the flip sameed is back on local talk with can t u . a track that uses the same foundation as testify but instead goes straight for that dirty disco knock out punch...heavy stuff! as an extra bonus we also included dusty jazz , a fender rhodes driven jazz-house cut from sameed that sounds like it comes straight from a dark juke joint in manchester.

manchester based producer sameed delivers us a very nice ep for the skylax n°141. after his first weapon -spend ep- on the swedish label local talk, he confirms here his taste for house music with -ma thang-. this new release is perfect to bring a dark and sensual amosphere to a warm up set.

sometimes it is best to let the music do the talking, this is one of those occasions. local talks 46th release comes from exciting debutant sameed. little did we know about sameed before we got the four tracks for this 12 inch, for all we know it could be your neighbour. quick-firing the release is spend, functional as a set highlight with its dubby chords, vocal snippets and a wonky bassline. included on the b-side is a dub that will work perfect as a dj tool for those who want to go a little bit deeper. showcasing sameeds sense for keeping things stripped down and sweaty, still is a dirty exercise in acid witchcraft while getyoself can best be described as a delicately raw rhythm with dark textures.
