im winter 2023 zogen sich ingri hoyland und ida urd in ein dänisches sommerhaus zurück – eine dieser kleinen, gepflegten hütten, die ein zentraler bestandteil der nationalen kultur sind und in denen dänen seit generationen die warmen monate mit ihren familien verbringen. stellen sie sich die szene vor: rundherum herrscht tiefste stille. gärten, die mit schnee bedeckt sind, silbrig glänzendes strandgras vor dem silbrigen himmel, eine rauchwolke, die aus dem schornstein aufsteigt. keine menschenseele in hörweite. dieser zufluchtsort war der ursprung für hoylands und urds „duvet“, eine meditation über schutz, vertrauen und kommunikation. sie wurden von der idee des nestbaus motiviert: wege zu finden, sich auf reisen sicher und zu hause zu fühlen, während man sich durch die jahreszeiten bewegt und zeiten des wandels durchlebt.
