fünfter release in der environments-serie der kult-elektroniker future sound of london. begann die serie ursprünglich mit unveröffentlichtem archivmaterial aus ihrer früh-1990er phase, enthält vol.5 nun 13 brandneue produktionen, die in der ersten jahreshälfte 2014 aufgenommen wurden. mit gastauftritten des prämierten komponisten daniel pemberton, sowie von raven bush (syd arthur) und riz maslen (neotropic). electronic listening par excellence. erstmals auch auf lp-vinyl.

repress - die “environment”-serie der kult-elektroniker future sound of london basiert auf den gleichnamigen ‘lost’ alben aus 1993, die erst 2008 komplettiert und veröffentlicht wurden. in der folge entstanden weitere arbeiten in anlehnung an die früh-1990’er electronica der fsol, die jetzt nach und nach erscheinen. der sechste teil erstreckt sich über zwei separate alben und umfasst 46 unveröffentlichte tracks auf 2 cds. die lps enthalten 17 bzw. 18 tracks, wobei der track “silent around them” auf lp vol. 6.5 vinyl-exklusiv erscheint.

this album originates from 2015 and was only issued on an extremely limited edition (only 250 copies) and became a highly sought after cd (now reissued). “life in moments” is classic melodic weirdness from the minds of fsol - this vinyl release in new lp sleeve in a black border contains an additional track “sonata andantino” not on the original cd.
