here a private pressing of 200 copies with some exciting works of mr bottin who is for sure one of the most active producers in the new disco umwelt this year! one super sweet and sexy track called sage oil. disco just dont get much hotter then this. flip side had a track called hot lizard which is a rawer and more masculine piece as many of us might know from the typical italian police series and horror movie scores from the late 70s and early 80s. recommended!

the solid tumbling tones found on this ep are all thats needed as an introduction to these two accomplished producers latest creation. both strong forces in their own right, the pair come together once again on sweatshop to present their vision of dancefloor harmony, and mystery! sirens is the aptly titled track whose crazy vibe is encapsulated by jacking, swinging percussion, wild pitching synth stabs and a haunting soprano soloist letting loose! this needs to be experienced to be believed, but the proof will be in the dancefloor, hands in the air and minds expanded! moirae works the tension with dense filtered stabs and crisp solid state percussion, driving this deep slab of dark dance into blissful moments of release. mellow yet urgent, its a raw, purist electronic statement! joel alter also offers up a special edit which focuses the groove in a slightly more kinetic direction, with reduced, aquatic synth work and a classic club energy that makes it an ideal addition to the package.

tres gueros are three white brooklynites led by the amorphous producer sleazy mcqueen. this collaboration as a whole has been a few years in the making with two vocalists, two guitar players and if that wasnt enough, he brought in beef wellington for some additional synthesizing work.

this scottish producer puts trapez ltd again on the techno map. after a couple of more housy releases on trapez ltd this release is a tougher one.&#8232,,circular star works techno a bit in a post detroit fashion... the sounds smells of industrial sites, burned rubber and has that certain sexy machine rhythm to it which we always felt was the jeff mills factor. they have little glamour about them, they are true and a direct force.

here is finally the first single from yakine, a close member to the eklo family. after his featuring on the hooksey vol.1, he gave us four tracks which he worked specially for this ep. yakine explored a new sound, some more melodic and deeper works, different from his usual stuff. captor of sin, the main track here. we find yakine in a more pop dimension with the vocals. the metric rhythm is mix it up with sub and perky shuffle grooves, everything harmonized through a lead ambiance made of weird synts & pads. then shirp, lead from synths, the track go on in the same vibe, more excentric and percussive, rounded beat, and a slap bass, 80s funk type. on the flip, temptation, a more singular track, a great detroit techno influenced, with his unusual keys and some indus sounds. the story ending with aferone, a deep and sensitive balad, overhang by a poetic piano coming and going all along. solid and versatile 12 inch.

>hollow hills< keeps the psychedelic side of riley reinholds music up, which he has released since his first release on disko b in 1995 (red flare ep). jittering voices, sounds that ricochet and basslines that come like little earthquakes. the 11 minute epic >hollow hills< works similar to the waves at the beach, constantly featuring irregular shapes and never repeating itself. the track has been remixed by french artist gohan, who lives in paris and who has electrified the track with his vision of modern daring electronica, bordering on music the glorious wishmountain did in the past. finally domestic musical impact comes from the cologne musician oeler who has made a tougher and more elaborate percussive beat, the core element of his interpretation of >hollow hills<.

he is the talented french man that has been in the music scene since the mid 90s. he has actively produced for several labels among which confused recordings, break new soil, definitive, different, datapunk, goodlife and international deejay gigolo records. now he is starting up a new platform, called signature by kiko, where he will be sharing his latest works with you.

sweatshops third release rolls on in with two hot, old-school-vibed productions from joel alter! swedish-berliner alter turns in two fresh, yet raw, cuts that are perfect for the winter club season, and a special edit from label boss savas pascalidis also features. lead cut soul clap is a heavy metal bass weapon for the house or techno floors. pure adrenal action is on hand from the outset, where joels sub-assured kick and ravey, filthy organ riff works the groove. direct and straight to the point, its a strong, forward leaning tool that is sure to get the fires burning in early 2010. savas pascalidis also re-works soul clap with his own edited version, working the 909 into overtime and turning up the intensity even higher! classic and tough chicago vibes all the way!

here comes the funky assault from florentine trio the clover! this powerful and warm 4tracker ep shows an amazing variety of styles into a pure house music affair. each track is so unique, its amazing how great the repertory of these young guys is! we know them already for their works on ethique and some appearances on our label.. however this is their first magic ep on bosconi!

quantized goes deeper and hosts another young but already well known producer from greece called kreon, one of the most talented guys around the last years. at his 25 years old markos spanoudakis is already considered as a top-notch producer! he has released music on labels such as resopal, cecille, be chosen, robsoul, ... the present ep has 3 tracks, two original works from markos and a remix from michai popoviciu (highgrade, vukohila, level non zero). this is also the first time that quantized offers a special white-coloured vinyl.

sometime around 1999 swayzak released a 50 copies only white label of tracks >easy< and >hof ter lo< as a taster of their 2000 album >himawari< sadly neither of these tracks made the album in the end, but are now remixed and re-edited by rennie foster and shane berry (dirty works, japan) the originals are brought back to life, and given a twist in a new direction. ten years on we plough through our archives and have a new feeling for these old tunes.

this music works by releasing carbon dioxide gas into a batter through an acid-base reaction, causing bubbles in the wet mixture to expand and thus leavening the mixture. it is used where the batter lacks the elastic structure to hold gas bubbles for more than a few minutes. because carbon dioxide is released at a faster rate through the acid-base reaction than through fermentation, music made by chemical leavening is called >quick compositions. the tracks are made up of an alkaline component, one or more acid salts, and an inert starch (cornstarch in most cases, though potato starch is also used).

this is the 11th release from sui generiz (division of absolut freak records), a special one marking a new phase of the portuguese label. andy book comes with a very deep track with beautiful chords, vocal works and melodic sounds, which give a nice and smooth trip called >if you tried<. the outstanding and famous french producer alexkid - already signed on the best labels such as f communications, rekids or cadenza - offers a super interesting and cleverly made remix. brilliant minimalist work pushing the limits of the original mix even further. then, the finnish producer zentex, well-known for his works on traum, kickboxer or resopal, is back on sui generiz (after having signed the first reference called >blue<) with a stunning version. deep, solid and driving remix. just listen! last but not least, johnwaynes - the exciting duo coming from the same land as the label - brings some organic beats and a bright piano for a beautiful remix, not less sui generis work than they use to do. their very unique sound, already heard on compost, brique rouge or bloop, will make you dance all long.

d julzs bass culture records has undoubtedly been one of the major highlights of 2009. in just four releases the french label has set the bar for all others in terms of quality and 2010 is looking to be a groundbreaking year for them. the second release of 10 showcases the label head keeping it detroit, and a bit in the grey area - with the lov is easy release by anonym. anonym. the one who is anonymous. with releases on anonymous release, archipel, bloop, pariter, fof, and sushitech. anonym has also contributed the scoring soundtrack to works on display at the museum of moving images in nyc for pbfb. according to the man himself, i am anonym the one who is anonymous. i am anonymous because in any popular music form prone to be ransacked by the egos of its participants, a state of grace is best achieved and sustained by pursuing a life of anonymity. that preserves its creators from the warping stare of the media and its public in the process. his sound is tempered with grace & style, with a feeling of - detroit is my heart and often my songs sing her praises. i have known her all my life.

lil tony is hotter than hot. while starting to dj and produce years ago, tony has been a staple in the scandinavian club scene since the early 90s. an amazing dj (actually one of the favourites around the moodmusic hq) and a talented producer, tony started with the fbi project with roberto rodriguez and kimmo oksanen before dropping some serious damage on raw trax vol. 1 last year on moodmusic. caned by everyone from luciano (he edited his own version of semble) to dj hell, tonys raw grooves cut the crap and moved people when other producers had to take a leak. hardworking, never forgetting his gentleman manners, tony is here to stay and raw trax vol. 2 is a bold new statement, and his best work to date. solid state takes the classic detroit influenced drum machine vs piano theme a step forward, a impeccable jam of 15 minutes with the beat keeping the pace, this has been roadproofed the last 6 months to good effect. the b-side karamba is a dry, tight driven tech-workout, perfect mixtool for the deeper techno as well as housier sets. it just works well. the closing checkpoint charlie is a tale of >lost in helsinki< – dark mean bass wanders around and gives space for the chuggin main line, monotonic body music at its best.

final daniel wang release on rush hour, incl. 6 tracks not on the recent compilation. the balihu bootleg ep is the final release in the best of balihu series on rush hour. this 6 track ep holds two unreleased tracks (!) and four early works and b-sides. this ep starts with sylver belt which was included on the never released and much in demand balihu 002. not feeling it and east side hustle are early b-side balihu tracks that were not featured on the compilation. side b continues with the instrumental version of if it feels good. this deep, electronic track was taken from the vault of danny and has not been released before. shadows & unhouse are again two early danny tracks that were not on the balihu compilation. and with this limited ep we close off this wonderful project with danny. we hope to see him back one day with new music

more quality house goodness from the guest house crew. this ep features the amenti main man olivier desmet with cohort oriental funk stew for a three track release of typically bummping and jacking grooves. solid dancefloor material here, with took my love working a tight groove over some dubbed out samples and frolicking bassline, with a cool oldschool vocal sample making an appearance here. flip for the bottom heavy pressure and jazzy swing of five plus while in the pocket works some nice key stabs for a deep late night groover. excellent dancefloor material from some of the top names in the underground scene

from a land a swim away to the banks of detroit proper comes kero (detund, detroit underground), to add his brand of tech savvy kookiness to the cryovac machines soul. unafraid to change the rules of standard programming, kero does what ever it takes to ensure the freshest product. cryovac works to wrap a tight seal around the many interpretations of the detroit sound and what it should mean. cryovac believes in the truth of the vinyl format, and believes that this is the only way its music should be heard. cryovac is committed to preserving the unique style of the artists that describe detroit.

after the success of >mostro<, the french wonderboy play paul - mainly known for his works on kitsune, gigolo (>lalaland<) and craft music - is back on absolut freak records with >9am<. the ep starts with a massive remix by the german sensations disco trash music (freshly signed on the label) which will smash your head, until the break... everybody say yeah! back side, the most exciting turkish band gooseflesh is also back on absolut freak (after their remix of dro & lodzys >now yet now< on the af13) with a powerful version in their own style. a killer! then, the original version by play paul takes you to a lovely journey, with a warm melody for melancholic mornings. you can enjoy the artwork made by the incredible falk klemm from the german collective the zonders. get freak!

>sax on wax< by sabb & s. elezi is a delicious slice of deephouse with sax snippets and a solid, deep groove. perfect for the warm-up hours but will also work a treat for the late-night morning sessions.
once again a standout 2 tracker on nm2. close your eyes and use your ears.
