this 4-track ep is the first official release from new jerseys mikeq, one of the unquestioned leaders of the current vogue-house scene, and follows in the wake of a slew of self-released tunes he has dropped over the past few years. let it all out is also the second record on kingdoms fade to mind imprint, which has already received mountains of praise despite its short discography. largely built upon raw, upfront drum sounds, recycled snippets of hip-hop and r&b, and, most importantly, the ever-present >ha< (itself a repurposed masters at work sample), vogue house seemingly offered the sort of sound that tastemaking and blog-reading djs would snap up with aplomb. hell, even diplo championed the ballroom scene. yet, for whatever reason, the expected vogue-house explosion hasnt really happened. while a handful of non-ballroom producers and djs (most coming from the world of bass music) have experimented with the genre, the music essentially continues to hum along in the underground.

london-based thomas feriero, aka avatism, didnt buy his first vinyl when he was ten years old, nor was he born out of the love of two underground jazz musicians. he had an extremely dull and standard childhood and can barely play the drums. yet somehow, he is able to formulate techhouse tracks that are classy and artful while remaining dancefloor-functional.

hobo is a fellow canadian best known for his excellent work on m¦nus. rumor has it, he borrowed richies quad-macro template file to finish the final version of this remix... whatever he did, his second effort came up huge, this mix is excellent.

one of las smartest young voices says the la times…which the artist suspects, may just be a covert way of saying la is dumb. “open” mike eagle wouldnt terribly mind, being born and raised in chicago where the painful winters and his uppity grandparents kept him inside as a youth. he spent his formative years watching alternative music happen on mtv and hoping to one day be able to audition for the native tongues. as a young adult after graduating with a degree in psychology, he did the next best thing and moved to los angeles, joining the project blowed collective where he made music and toured with busdriver, aceyalone, abstract, nocando, and more. he has also gained notoriety in the world of comedy by being invited by professional funny people (paul f. tompkins, hannibal buress, matt besser/ucb) to rap at their shows. he would like to be raps kurt vonnegut but recognizes that he would first have to create something as iconic as the four-stroke illustration of an anus. he practices by releasing rap albums that delight, entertain, and confuse.

mike parkerss unique album lustration is a extremely good base for killer remixes. after the amazing original tracks, well known and respected remixers like svreca, edit select, and cassegrain have designed three complete new lustrations and providing a complete dedicated attitude to the rhythmic, full of stomping and gyrating patterns of mikes album. we call it deepest ritual techno for the mind.
