new analog response 12 inch vinyl output has been composed by the italian artist hydergine, a young guy clearly inspired by basic channel / maurizio dub techno sounds, and a wide range of influences in the house/techno/bass fields. after practicing in music production for years, he first released a 12 on the german label separate skills which rapidly sold out, leaving a strong mark in the dub-tech scene.
recently, the austrian label phlox showed another fine hydergine release on translucent blue 12 inch vinyl, matching the taste of big names like francois kevorkian, laurent garnier, brendon moeller, kirk degiorgio, anton zap, terry francis, roman fluegel, ethyl, slam, franklin de costa, john osborn and more.

2012 sees detroit label, kms records, celebrating its 25th anniversary. founded in 1987, by kevin maurice saunderson, his first release was triangle of love produced by,kreem, (just one of his many guises), little did saunderson know, at that time, that two and a half decades later, he would still be releasing music on his kms label.

after john coltrane and cannonball adderly left the quintet, miles davis was forced to search for new qualified musicians. he found them in hank mobley, wynton kelly, jimmy cobb and paul chambers. in 1961, just two years after recording kind of blue, miles and his new line up started recording energetically and finished someday my prince will come after only three days.
this album is a cross-over from kind of blue (movlp019), which is known for the typical miles davis-tunes, to traditional pop-standards such as the eponymous title track from >snow white and the seven dwarfs<.
music on vinyl turned this classic album, including glaring solos from john coltrane (joining miles on two tracks on this album) and hank mobley, into a true gem! this record is re-mastered on 180 grams audiophile vinyl.

philadelphia producer king britt has dusted off his analogue machinery for 3-tracks of sci-fi indebted synth work. hyperdub present a brilliant and subtle curveball courtesy of phillys finest, king britt, in his new guise as fhloston paradigm. built from drum machines, analogue keyboards and 303s, and edited in the computer, these three lean and mean tracks have an unadorned feeling that build on hyperdubs love for old john carpenter style electronics, combined with dr patrick gleasons ear for the abstract, and bouncy drum machine syncopation that sounds like they are aiming for an alternative present where analogue synths are still king.
