bcr v02 is the second vinyl release by bcr. this time its ad.lib (bcr, gynoid, affin) who produced the original and the remixes are done by rebekah (clr), joseph mcgeechan (bcr, prosthetic pressings) und monya (bcr, if?). she lost control is track title and announcement at the same time here. all of the four versions have this certain raw and uncompromising sound. they all work with the topic of loosing control on different levels. the very personal interpretations of the four artists share a hypnotic and alienating atmosphere. the prominent synth blips reminds of stroboskopic lights and excessive nights.

on the last various artists ep, we were seduced by the dutchmens music, it was clear for us to invite them for an exclusive ep. ivano is no doubt a one of the hottest new comers of the year, and were very happy to release his partner alex jansens 1st appearances on vinyl. 3 personal, inventive, emotional tracks, great work on textures of the sound definitely groovy as hell. varoslav gives here a more housy version for the dancefloor. expect to hear more from the guys in 2013!

we are more thrilled to welcome the mighty thievery corporation. taken from their highly acclaimed album radio retaliation which was originally released on their label esl, el pueblo unido gets the remix treatment courtesy of miguel migs who delivers some creatively thoughtful reinterpretations of the song. with plenty of live instrumentation including a healthy dose of layered percussion and a smooth horn riff, warm synth chords and deep bouncing basslines are all showcased here along with cut-up and dubbed out vocal snippets for a balance of depth and dimension. high level production values, steady grooves, complex yet subtle arrangements and well crafted musicianship are all featured here in this lovely package.

born in chicago and raised on detroits west side, delano smith represents one of the last of a rare group of detroits first house dj s & protege of detroit-original deejay ken collier, this is the eighties legend back in fine style. recording for labels like third ear & his own mixmode imprint smith has carved a deep house groove for many years, here he teams up with long time friend derwin hall for the smith hall project and picked up for the excellent kolour recordings offshoot undertones hailing from houston texas but based in detroit this is the second release from ut and doesn t fail to deliver with some serious pedigree. one not to miss!!

orre releases a 12inch mini-album by the inimitable avrocar. cited by radiohead as a prime influence on their kid a album, they also did an acclaimed session for the radio show of the late john peel. the eight songs here are improvised sketches, referencing the psychedelic side of krautrock, harmonious sixties pop and lethargic post-punk. combined with a modern feel of rhythmic progression and production, avrocar effortlessly comes up with songs that are moody, but yet fit many moods. without pretension, straight to your heart and mind, avrocar is a band to be cherished.
