creativity lies in various artistic factors based mainly on commitment and maturity that is acquired with it, each project is a decision that is forged with a cold mind and requires to be conceived at the right time, a waiting time between projection and execution, this is what presents us with dorhg on his new label atroc records, where he opens a catalog with the remixes of kalter ende & sarf, a 180g and twelve inches ltd vinyl, entitled “fixing process“. the path taken by dorhg with fixing process reveals his experience and vocation for dynamic, rhythmic, deep and syncopated structures, through icy and mental sequences, without leaving aside the physical and direct in his message. melting is the track that opens the release, it is bent to a deep bass sequence that reiterates its presence without variation, and although it acts as the central axis of the track, it is the percussive elements that are annexed in the background that give a certain energetic charge. indistinctly to the original version, kalter ende refuses to maintain this bass line and leads us to another character more dense and textured in his adaptation, but preserving the rhythmic nerve. coalescence occupies the b-side. with the original, dorhg repeats the formula in terms of intensity, this time it is different components that alternate protagonism in a linear work loaded with particles that go from maximum excitement to calm. on the other hand, sarf creates with his remix a solid, direct techno piece with several ingredients operating in a loop and a deep textured mattress that gradually varies in intensity.

various creatures of the native flora and fauna are interpreted musically on dominik eulbergs label apus apus. the music pieces are thoughtfully presented with 2 tracks per ep. his first ep features the track bienenfresser (eng. bee-eater) on the a side and blauracke (engl. blue roller) on the flip side. the bee-eater is the most colorful bird of our native lands a quality which is echoed through the piece of the same name. the composition oscillates from one color into another without losing its significant habitus. it is a musical journey through the color scheme of the bee-eater, through which dominik eulberg takes us by way of his iconic style. he succeeds at a striking balancing act between sensitive subtlety and steady pressure, in order to offer us a satisfying share of hedonism. it is a piece of music that provides an intimate listening experience, while simultaneously supplying listeners with a collective, mobilizing anthem. the long introduction of the track emulates the agile flight for prey of the dazzling bird, but then it fervently taps out the stinger of the captured bee, and finally nothing can stand in the way of the massiveness of the celebratory bass drum. intrepid, yet with a high degree of ataraxia, dominik leads us through the skies on an expedition into the colorful land of the bee-eater. the magnificent turquoise blue plumage of the blue roller glimmers green or blue, depending on the quality of light. these colors, translated into worlds of sound, are reflected in this piece of the same name. sparkling melodies intertwine gracefully along musical chains, and create a constant redefinition of the theme. the piece is inviting and catchy in the typical eulbergian manner submerging into the auditory tract and manifesting itself with much elegy in the deepest cortex. the blue roller is a sit-and-wait hunter at first occupied with idleness, until finally capturing its anticipated prey. this imperturbable serenity is felt in this piece of music and illustrates eulberg s many years of knowledge and experience. he steers his audiences through the true essence of music, while always keeping both hands firmly on the wheel.

ltd repress! dominik eulberg’s third ep on his label apus apus features the track -abendpfauenauge- (eng. eyed hawkmoth) on the a side and -oleanderschwärmer- (engl. oleander hawkmoth) on the flip side. -abendpfauenauge- brings together a romantic outlook as well as a rave quality through sequential tight knit melodies which enables the dj to play the tune in the club. -oleanderschwärmer- on the contrary is a dreamy and airy 15 minute epic that is a true fascinating listening experience. a. abendpfauenauge the eyed hawkmoth owes its name to the distinctive eye drawing on its hind wings. the bark-colored forewings provide perfect camouflage when resting on tree trunks during the day. in case of a disturbance, it pulls the forewings up jerkily. the moth now gives off the appearance of a face that suddenly stares at the troublemaker. forward and backward swinging movements of the body intensify this threatening effect. b. oleanderschwärmer with its incredible colors, the oleander hawkmoth is a symbol of tropical beauty. it rarely flies into our fields as a migratory butterfly. with a wingspan of up to 13 centimeters, it is a true -jumbo-. it s flying style is similar to that of hummingbirds. it reaches speeds of up to 50 km/h. it’s proboscis, the tubular mouthpart used for feeding on the nectar of flowers, becomes as long as its body.
