fur the texan, born bryce isbell, extracts minutiae with precision. his compositions, while airily sparse, are saturated with details plucked from broad of landscapes, whether they resemble the texan prairie or the expanses of industrial germany. isbells composite micro-samples are infinitesimal, soaked in breathless allusion and divorced from their context. the crisp, insistently percussive arrangement oscillates like metal shavings manipulated by an unseen magnet. fur has untraditionally tapped into a eu techno mind-meld, a berlin thought-stream. after his early work with neon indian�s alan palomo as ghost hustler, isbell dove deep into minimal sounds that transported listeners closer to inner city detroit than the mid-west. unos first fur ep cocoon follows several years of isbell silence. after a notable debut with lefse, fur submerged below a sea of techno and came up with a deep analog style that has acquired fans in fred p and firecracker records with twisting house like >knots<. a second part in the fur saga on the way, uno has faith this young westerner will be putting a big texan stamp on the house scene to come.

when the house music phenomenon was beginning, chicago djs like ron hardy and new yorkers such as frankie knuckles and larry levan would edit records for their own purposes, removing the parts they felt to be superfluous, concentrating instead on extending grooves and hooks, often adding their own basic synth lines and toughening up the percussion with what have now become classic synthesizers and drum machines. warehouse classics vol.1 holds 4 killer tracks going from obscure disco to new wave, first popularised at the music box and rarely heard anywhere else. sir leon greg (another incarnation of perseus traxx) jams out then reinforces some edits of forgotten classics with a raw & personal analogue treatment for a devastating full effect on the dance floor, that is a far cry from the proliferation of over-produced squeaky-clean software edits. these are basic, raw ideas thrown down quickly and capturing the energy on 1/4 inch tape before moving on to the next set of sounds. musically, its as delightfully funky and uncomplicated as youd expect, a mesh of disco tracks and heavy, effect laden, machine-funk. essential item!!

i am a pianist, composer, improviser, performing artist and a multitasking musician in life, currently living and working in reykjavik. i was born 1978 in seydisfjördur, iceland and have been playing the piano and keyboards since age of 9. my main focus and interest is in improvisation, composition and performance of music. how improvisation and composition can meet effortlessly as a creation of musical ideas and sounds. i am also thoughtful of the general passion & drive behind creation of things, in what way they are presented and passed on to people, in music, arts and life in general. since childhood i ve collaborated with a whole spectrum of artist, from obscure troubadours in the countryside to stadium bands, covering all fields og music, both in iceland and abroad. i have also composed and arranged a great deal of music for theater, film, art installations, performances and videos of all kinds. released my first album rask in 2002, and now i am currently composing and working on a series of records with solo piano music for radio bongo with improvised piano works i (broadcast01) as the first radio bongo release.

after his last single asset 001 and releasing his distance track on dogmatik records, stojche returns with the second release on his own solo tangible assets imprint delivering another four cuts, whereby we witness his consistency in putting out a must-have quality works. the 1st track on the a side is called you & me. podium techno tune where the 909 drums and the fat baseline interact perfectly with musical theme. stojche starts off with the pad lines, building them up with various chords, synth swabs and dubby layers that strike in perfect timing. this one is real immersive moody groover. a2 -mechanism has an electric piano aspect as key texture that jams along the track, and later the amazing string arrangement creates a lot of space for the drum sequence to bring the mood to another level. this tune could do a lot of damage on the dancefloor if dropped in a right time. b1- revolt kicks off with a storming groove right from the start. uncompromising drums with the acidic synth keys that rumble in 4 on the floor beat that showcase chicago house influences from the past. b2 - podrum is the closing track of this single that carries a real strong emotion and deepness. classic detroit influenced after hour tune approached in style. the warmth stretches across the entire soundscape, where we witness stojches skills to create an essential spiritual deep house number. definitely stojche has succeeded in delivering four different quality works to one beauty of a record!!! asset002 will be available only in tangible (physical) format
