as he keeps busy on d edge s new sub label olga with a brand new artist album, boss man renato ratier also manages to serve up a hot new ep on the main label with dynamic regard stimming. the pair cook up two fine tracks that showcase both of their styles in all their glory. philosophy goes first and is a playful, loose limbed dance floor groover with parping blasts of sub bass, richly soulful pads and slow burning sense of crescendo that will really lift dancers up and carry them away. it is perfectly detailed and expertly produced to really jump out of the speakers and is sure to be a massive hit this summer in brazil and beyond. conscious then flips the script and slows to a perfectly seductive crawl. lazy drums, slow blasts of white noise and a poignant bassline all get backed by glowing pads and the overall effect is soothing, seductive and sensual. this is a fine ep from two very talented producers and cements a long standing relationship in style.

we start off with hokkori shiyo - which in japanese means *smoking a joint together with friends*. this is an organically composed production which synchronizes with the elements.
my father recorded his own natural frequency and you can hear his defining voice during this track, combined with the frogs from a lake.

an ep of golden bug on lddlm has been a long-time coming. paths crosses, encounters, similitudes. but it took all of us time to agree on how golden bug should fit into our mortal ethics of fragmentation: we don t want to sound like anybody else, each track on the ep should all sound different. the french but barcelona based producer played our game, anticipating his future and very diverse album with a spook yet catchy 12inch. wild boys was an instant ear-catcher, some proto funk with a very strong vocal by yan wagner that made it sound like duran duran on speedball. it was hard to take it to another level but lord tusk, one of our favourite producers of the emerging -no genre london scene beefs it up, kraftwerk way. its moody as we all are. ik voel je shows the more experimental spaced out side of golden bug, we d call it space rock if we had to. do not neglect l-horloge, it s slow, dark, menacing but it s a real time bomb if tuned correctly.

vulnicura strings ist eine von streichinstrumenten eingespielte version von björks gefeiertem achten studioalbum »vulnicura«. um einige der arrangements einzuspielen, verwendete björk die weltweit einzige viola organista, ein ursprünglich von leonardo da vinci entworfenes instrument, dessen bau sein erfinder allerdings nicht mehr erlebte. das instrument versetzt mittels eines traktionsriemens einzelne saiten in schwingung (ähnlich einer geige), wobei die saiten durch das anspielen von klaviertasten ausgewählt werden (ähnlich einer orgel). das instrument wurde in krakau von seinem erbauer sł,,,,,,awomir zubrzycki aufgenommen, der damit das album zur vollendung brachte.
