on the last various artists ep, we were seduced by the dutchmens music, it was clear for us to invite them for an exclusive ep. ivano is no doubt a one of the hottest new comers of the year, and were very happy to release his partner alex jansens 1st appearances on vinyl. 3 personal, inventive, emotional tracks, great work on textures of the sound definitely groovy as hell. varoslav gives here a more housy version for the dancefloor. expect to hear more from the guys in 2013!

deep down slam laid down a marker of quality house with their debut emission from washerman and james johnston earlier this year, and for their second release the label looks to the current strains of house goodness coming out of ireland. sligo pair brame & klansee collaborate on a double dose of forthright house shufflers with the alright ep, the title track demonstrates the duo to fully in line with the current vogue for 90s vocal house bumpers. complementing this, *they ll be* showcases their craft for infectious melodic hooks. washerman maintains his 100% deep down slam appearance record with a killer remix of the latter track, retaining the duos hooks and adding plenty of his own production personality to the mix.

2012 was without doubt the breakthrough year for south london ordnance. in the space of twelve months the 23 year old artist put out three separate 12 inches alongside a five track ep, which garnered support from jamie xx, scuba, benji b, mary ann hobbes, mosca, claude vonstroke, richie hawtin and more. his jungle-advised, finely honed productions also rightly earned him notable mention in several annual end of year roundups including dj mags best of british 2012, xlr8rs 4th best new act of 2012 (alongside disclosure and karenn), and time out uks djs to watch in 2013. with this debut outing on hotflush recordings scheduled for march, 2013 is set to be yet another strong year for the young producer.

activia benz are back in full swing for 2013 with their next release: recolor ep from 813. 813 is 25 year old russian badass, alexander goryachev. he is a firefighter, which is badass. his music is a dense collision of crazy rap beats, sort of, and some kind of fantastic rave thing, maybe. his music is very badass, much like the fact he is a firefighter. it is also very beautiful, like when he carries a small cat to safety from a burning russian building. recolor is a slice of really fantastic dancey bassy music for partying and hanging out to with your m8s.

with djs dimitri from paris, francois k, doc martin, greg wilson, danny krivit and others playing his stuff regularly - combined with seven #1 releases on the junodownload disco/nu disco charts in the past year, you know dj, producer, remixer and keyboardist jean claude gavri is someone to listen to. this is confirmed with the first vinyl release on his coco bin imprint featuring in his own words *a disco monster* entitled *the get down*. with an excellent dub mix on the flip this record will be in all the right boxes for a long time to come.

less than a year old, the newly formed label apollonia presents its debut album release inviting you on an imaginary journey in their lotus seven, a road trip back to 90s san francisco takes chris carrier and hector moralez on a musical mission, stopping for hip hop style smokes, disco jams and soul-warming joints on the beach, this is an exploration through their colourful inspirations and rhythmic upbringing.

yotam avni comes from israel. young, promising and with a undisputable talent, yotam is a producer who could have easily been born and raised in detroit. his first release with soul research is dedicated to his great friend danny bar, a young artist who died prematurely just over a year ago. a song for danny is an emotionally strong ep, melodic and deep. the remixes have been handed over to the legendary techno artist orlando voorn, of dutch nationality but with a detroit heart

saveds latest offering is a single from berlin based artist burnski. appearing for the first time on the label earlier in the year with his incredible take on harvey mckays *the fall*, the talented producer delivers *lost in the zoo*.
the track is a real house bomb with a jackin disco feel, set across an evolving bass line and flourishing voices. over on the flip is a remix from dynamic duo, the martinez bros. using the original elements and adding their own unique production including an equally addictive bass line and trippy elements, they create a first rate remix that seals the package off perfectly.

david flores surfaces as audio injection with no key ep, two slabs of pristine techno for the new year. after owning 2011 & 2012 with over a dozen releases as truncate, audio injection flexes some production muscle to put out a sound that’s as huge as it is hypnotic. the a side features deep thought, a seven-minute obsession around a short melodic fragment that speeds at 130 bpm through a paranoid passage of beguiling rhythm. the b side features title track no key, a demolishing groove that builds and breaks but never lets go. machined percussion and tonal beats carve their way through an arena-sized rabbit hole with detail and dimension.

blue hawaii, arbutus records and many of their montreal counterparts all began with the same breath in early 2010. to date blue hawaii has released an 8 song ep: in may of that year, blooming summer (arbutus records 2010) was recorded following the pairs travels in central america. it frames a time of warmth and novelty, featuring dense female harmonies, tape saturated synths, guitars and drum machines. eventually ra- returned to her role in braids, touring constantly, while ag– moved to europe, treading deeper into dance music, electronics, and production. the two decided to make untogether in 2012, they began recording on new years day in vancouver and intermittently worked on the project until summer broke in montreal. the music followed their winter in canada, it became colder, more introspective. it again captured a time and place, but instead of a dense saturation of love and excitement, this record reflects the vast world of self-awareness and delicacy.

a monster detroit tinged package that features rod and dutch producer remy unger on the remix. this is the first vinyl release from irelands inflyte recordings featuring two new artists from belfast who this year will individually appear on the likes of traum and gerds 4lux importing among others.

for this beginning of the year caramelo has picked up for you some fresh sounds coming from his labels boss kosme and his new talent from the followed scene of vienna: perrez. this 3rd ep has many influences as it is the spirit of the label. *love sensation* from perrez sounds like a house anthem, a very groovy track with this never-ending piano and the fabulous voice of lh! his 2nd track *de l ame* is made with all his vibrations and his emotions for music, straight to the danceflloor with this funky bass and deep elements and of course: what a rhythm! on the flip, the lyons most wanted dj and producer kosme show here his house and dub sides. you can feel the beauty of kosmes house dub on *bonobo house* with also those synths used to bring this track on the heaven! *bear with a beard* is a house track with a touch of indus groove and a rhythm who made you slave of it!

a unique collaborative project by visual artist charlie white and musician / producer boom bip, pressed on white vinyl. together the pair have created an ep of dance tracks based on in-depth interviews of teenage girls with accompanying photographic images. the magical, yet sometimes uncomfortable results are now made available on a very limited edition 12 inch. each of the 5 tracks captures the essence of a different teenager, from the privileged and popular georgia musing on the importance of being liked, to the sultry and complicated isabelle recalling her melancholy crushes of freshman year. the original interviews were painstakingly edited and set against the pin-sharp boom bip productions they inspired, whilst the visual element was born out of whites intensive photographic study of a teenage girl living in the isolated suburbs of southern california. white generated around 11k images over 2 years and has selected 12 for *music for sleeping children*. in addition to the 5 original tracks this package includes 5 instrumentals exclusive to this vinyl format. grab this while you can!

when wncl012 hero, kevin mcphee, dropped the unreleased bobby champs dubplate of *krenshaw* in his boiler room set last year, the cassette library instantly knew that they had found their lucky star for wncl013. with his trademark boxy drum sound littering the contents of this ep, the man who likes *…making songs that make you want to dance* has done it again.

detail is 20 year old daniil marin from kiev, ukraine. initially influenced by technical itch, detail has carved out a niche for himself and stepped up his production skills to create world class dnb with dance floor production power. with releases already on c.i.a., proximity and support from noisia, the upbeats, break & klute and forthcoming releases on: symmetry, dispatch, utopia music & demand – detail is definitely a brand new talent soon to be on everyones lips. daniil is also a keen amateur health & fashion photographer and one day hopes to contribute to the readers wives section of fiesta.

five releases in and ramon tapias say what? imprint has impressed and strengthened with each and every single, all of which have come from the label boss himself, seeing him turn out some of the most heavily supported house tracks of the past year!

tropics a.k.a. chris ward first appeared on planet mu last year, following up two eps with the album parodia flare. commended by pitchfork for his lush soundscapes and hazy pop, whats clear with tropics is that he listens to a lot of dance music and he cares about production values. the synth and beat programming is as competent as anything out there, and he avoids lazy indie stylings and one button bontempi organ beats – his are crafted songs, much of the pleasure lying in his gift for dynamic arrangement, which is a joy amid rafts of useful formulaically assembled house tracks.
in common with the general post-financial collapse vibe there is less sunshine in this ep than before, and he has absorbed something from a year of intensive house music listening, but chris essential qualities remain a forward-looking wistfulness, hope beneath melancholy, something even more acutely needed now than before. oh look! here comes winter.

last year kyodai dropped breaking, which to date is the biggest selling release on local talk. now the brothers are back with in our opinion a future house anthem. the scene is a classic piano house cut that’s impossible to resist and together with one the coolest vocal samples we’ve ever heard we think this has the potential to go really big. when the breakdown drops we’re pretty sure everybody in the club will chant. but as if this was not enough we also got another big tune on the b-side. moving is the continuation of “breaking” and goes along the same lines with its crossover jazz styled house. once again kyodai delivers a supa solid house production with large jazz breakdowns and old school vocals that’s right up their with ”breaking”. this is also why we called it…breaking pt.2. kyodai is currently working on their debut album for local talk which is due later this year. they’re also travelling around the world with their amazing live dj set that we highly recommend. trust us when we say that these two brothers really now how to turn up the heat in a club…serious biz!

the new year starts for raum with the second single by two of our key artists teaming up again, namely christian burkhardt and sascha dive. the a side is produced by sascha alone and is definately standing out from his more house related productions of the last months. halfway is a true peak time monster that already got deck sharks nervous throughout the end of last summer in a few sets of djs like ricardo villalobos or raresh for example just to name the most important ones.

this winter tresor dons hardhat and flashlight once again to exhume more lost treasures from its stated past. under the guise of its own 10-year dormant archiv series-which saw cuts from the likes of robert hood, jeff mills, blake baxter and eddie flashin fowlkes brought back to wax and dancefloors worldwide-comes a reissue ep straight from the heart of the clubs former wertheim department store days, courtesy of long-time resident juan atkins.

after his excellent lullabies to paralyze on visionquest at the beginning of the year, hot creations release the monumental highbeams single featuring the vocal talents of benjamin franklin.. with a remix 12inch to follow

vester koza will release his self titled ep on his new imprint maslo early 2013. the release features four tracks that brought him to the attention of workshops even tuell and lowtec, ben ufo, xdb, madteo, jane fitz and mitsuaki komamura with a batch of demo recordings that circulated late last year. comprised of four selected tracks written over a twelve month period in his east london studio, this debut ep is the first of a planned series on the label to be released this year. the works have been mastered by helmut erler at dubplates and mastering berlin.

rainer veil are liam morley and dan valentine, two friends who met while studying contemporary music in the north of england. the pair began improvising and making drones in a dark basement before incorporating a broader palette and forming rainer veil as an ongoing concern last year. *struck* is their first ep and debut for modern love, following an appearance at the label boiler room takeover in august 2012.
