brother and sister eric and arrontette mcclinton had been recording for many years. around 1976 they did a 45 release together on honey records called -where you are- under the their christian names, although eric was spelled eryke! the single didn’t have much success but both brother and sister still went on to be amazing backing singers working for legendary producers mike theodore and dennis coffey. whilst they were under the watchful eye of the production team they recorded some material again and a duo for theo/coff in a bid to get them another record deal and show their capabilities. these songs never got releases. eric became and prolific song writer and also joined the group high fashion. we are super pleased to finally release the shelved songs from 1978. this in one of two releases by the duo.
repress - black vinyl - more vinyl remixes from psychemagik with the long awaited official > dancehall days< remix sanctioned by jack hues from wang chung himself. jack liked psychemagiks re-edit of dance hall days so much he contacted the duo and offered them the parts for an official remix. the result is a monster dancefloor friendly beast that is true to the original edit but with some extra magik!... psychemagik stand out from the crowd with high production values and innate musicality. i usually find remixes tedious, but this takes you on some off-world journey – very cool. jack hues (wang chung)
the latest joint on uzuri comes from mark hand, a secret weapon of the uk house underground who has been active for a long time and now seems to be finally getting the props he deserves. his mood on -all caught up- reflects the infectious positivity of his live sets at freerotation, all mellifluous rhodes keys and classic deep house signifiers that seep into your soul. -cobwebs- is just as smooth, although it takes on a more deep-diving tone laden with transcendental chord progressions and a dash of motor city melancholy. that makes patrice scott the perfect choice to remix the track, and he takes a measured approach to simmering the component parts down for a version garnished with gorgeous piano and synth tones.
for their first artist ep, super tuff revs up four tracks of high-octane house music from marcel lune. fresh off of an impressive lp for local talk, the uk up-and-comer again proves a knack for effective and subtle productions. the a side sets the mood with -moon sequence, a lush tune that builds to a cinematic climax. he settles into his groove with you can do it! a four-to-the-floor piano jam sprinkled with wonky synthesizers. on the b-side, lune finds himself unhinged on the open road with unknownz offering up a live drum groove drenched in bright synth stabs and triumphant string melodies. finishing the b-side, sun is all shuffled claps and peppy synthesizers that evoke the warm feeling of a sunrise after a long night out.
acid jazz is pleased to announce that it has teamed up with the legendary fania records for our latest 7 inch release. june 1st will see us release ray barretto’s “mercy mercy baby” lifted from his classic album “acid” produced by harvey averne. it is backed by an astounding and previously unreleased instrumental version, which is longer than the released version and has a stunning trumpet solo making it a summer dance-floor cooker. released on a specially designed label, which pays tribute to the first gold fania labels, this will be limited to a run of a 1000.
fort romeau returns with his first 12inch of 2018 following a string of releases on live at robert johnson, running back and ghostly international as well as appearances on compilations from rush hour, cocoon, and mule musiq. on the a side, pablo unfurls with swirling arpeggios which build to a euphoric crescendo while the more heady terracotta explores polyphonic syncopated fm sequences and ambiguous chord progressions.
our souls are in the hands of the translator presents his arcola debut, sɪ,,,,,ŋ,,,,,krɪ,,,,,tɪ,,,,,zə,,,,,m. a two tracker of chi-town acid that offers a mouthful of mathematics from jamal moss, the legendary producer and dj who has worked with everyone from adonis to wolf eyes.
radio slave’s colossal ‘the revenge’ track now gets expert remix treatment from klasse wrecks label head luca lozano. luca has also released on the likes of optimo, sex tags ufo and unknown to the unknown and brings a raw, acid tinged sound to his beats. as a performer lozano’s versatile dj sets span between raw house, cosmic disco and dynamic breakbeat selections, which is why he’s become a regular at key clubs across europe and tasteful festivals like houghton. his ‘how bow dis’ remix’ is solid and features wild old school flavours in its huge drum breaks, a monstrous bassline and dark filtered vocals. it bangs for seven superbly heavy minutes with plenty of twists and turns along the way, and will transform any club or warehouse into a writhing, sweaty mass in seconds. on the flip, his ‘how bow dah’’ version is based around elastic drums and rumbling bass while a loose synth line darts about up top. some distant synths bring a sense of serenity to the madness and so despite the physical impact of this one, it also has real emotion to it.
dino lenny returns with a new dark dancefloor drop, ready to cause a stir after a string of on-point release over the last year on the likes of innervisions, diynamic, ellum and sapiens. title track techno is dead lands on his own fine human imprint and takes a play from people sentencing the end of a style, but the truth is the floors are having it like no tomorrow. sonic wise, its a 8 minute slice of driving, shadowy, electronic sound, with rumbling 4/4 beats and warehouse ready builds working in tandem for a truly standout piece of finely balanced sound, that will no doubt light up the clubs. following up is go down to mexico, with an array of off kilter stabs and trippy vocal elements solidifying dino s dexterous production style. expect to hear these across the clubs in the coming months.
four tracks that capture the various emotional moments of the dance floor. produced by brian ring in berlin. remixed by honey soundssystem member jason kendig in new york. the photo on the cover comes from established amsterdam photographer sander meisner.
vantanes >they called him little prince< is the first release of a newly established label from brixton called top brick records. the title track kicks off proceedings with a hypnotising piano sample soon accompanied by a preaching vocal and screeching synths. chez toi follows similar suit this time in the form of grey strings. add dusty highs, throbbing bass stabs and kooky synths you are left with a complete sense of mystery throughout the whole track. looking away ties up the mini ep nicely with trancey synths and twinkly atmospheres throughout creating a highly emotive sign out. dj support: laurent garnier, dj barely legal, danny tenaglia, krywald & farrer, pablo bolivar, phonogenic, dan drastic, john digweed, meat (freebase), j.phlip, martin landsky, kev obrien, ian o donovan, brett johnson, ossie, rob da bank dusky, iron curtis
in our most private moments, we have often thought of multi culti as an educational enterprise: as you listen to our music and stare at our artwork, you are absorbing information in a way that might conceivably be defined as -learning.- our latest release brings this theoretically reasonable fantasy one step closer to fruition, as we welcome hamburg-based musician and composer andi otto (ph.d) to our roster of artists. a deep listening experience focused on repetition and timbre, bow wave was made using rare and unique instruments such as a special sensor bow for cello (and other string instruments) known as the -fello,- which otto developed during his residencies at the steim research centre in amsterdam. the album also features vocals from award-winning indian playback singer, actor, and tv anchor m.d. pallavi, a frequent otto collaborator, recorded while the two were touring japan. the digital edition of bow wave includes 10 tracks, while the six-track vinyl adds remixes by ecuadorian folklorica wizard nicola cruz and parisian adult disco purveyor golden bug, both of which will be released separately in a digital remix pack alongside reworks from brazil s ricardo vincenzo and norway s center of the universe. you are free to purchase all of them.
dmt aka dorian paic, markus fix and tobi neumann dig a little deeper on their next offering. -ride- does exactly what it says on the tin, taking you on a nine-minute journey that starts with an extended build-up, offering a tantalising glimpse of what s to come. from then on, house chords and dub elements abound, complemented throughout by beguiling melodic lines, hypnotic vocal samples, effects and some smooth filter action. this co-production from three tech house specialists harmonises perfectly, creating a well-rounded, homogeneous track that leaves you craving for more! born in berlin but living the life in mannheim, fabe is the next insider tip on cocoon worth keeping an eye on. already shaking up clubs around the world, he s also part of the cocoon ibiza line up this year! however he s not only turning heads as a dj, his productions also work on an extremely high level featuring a unique sound signature. his cocoon recordings track -last shot for bob- creaks, growls, clatters, squeaks and knocks in all directions creating an incredibly cool and, above all, groovy sound. it s electronic noise-funk served up in the best techno and house fashion, that drags you onto the dance floor and drenches you in pleasure.
following two previous excursions into degraded tape loops, fuzzed-out ambience and bittersweet moments of tenderness, o$vmv$m return to idle hands to complete a trilogy of lps with 12 vignettes from the underbelly of the bristol scene
once more envisioned and engineered in his native city of detroit, the record finds mgun in more auspicious and domestic circumstances. now firmly a father and a homeowner, axiom allows gonzales to flex his party muscle, while further pushing the elastic boundaries of his notoriously unpredictable and brilliantly raw production style. across twelve tracks, listeners are offered an unpredictable trip into the restlessly experimental snatches of studio time gonzales was afforded away from his then day job at the legendary people s records store. it s there that gonzales absorbed endless releases and rediscoveries passing through the stock, trading the occasional tip with some of detroit s best known producers.
hmot aka stas sharifullin is siberian-born, moscow-based musician, curator, educator and multi-disciplinary artist from siberia. using modular synthesizer, field recordings and visual programming languages, hmot collects sounds and organizes them into structures, pushing traditional electronic music genres beyond their comfort zones. “permanent imbalance” is his ep debut on the berlin imprint oqko following a single contribution to the label’s “form_1” compilation. structurally, “permanent imbalance” is disorderly and elusive, it’s a techno record which has undergone a gregor samsaesque metamorphosis. embedded with dizzying polyrhythmics, the discontinuity at the heart of the record might also be its central directive – interrupting the ecstatic clubbing experience in favor of a contradictory reality which is impossible to describe with regular rhythms. boldly submitted to the niche of dance music deviations, “permanent imbalance” also reveals techniques directly derived from early institutional electronics and musique concrete. but where others would pile on the layers, sharifullin keeps it trim. these are just some finishing touches enhancing his rickety and multifaceted soundscapes. subject to constant deviations of its own temporality, this music proves to mirror the crisis in which modernity resides – a state of life out of balance which now appears to be permanent as never before.
originally released in ‘06/’07 as the appetizer to only built 4 cuban linx ii, the vatican mixtape series consists of a vast collection of unreleased tracks, wu & solo classics (“shame on a ni**a”, “diesel”, “ghetto boy”, & “yae-yo”), as well as some of rae’s best guest work through the years (“the heist”, “brown paper bag”, & “bump bump”). volume 2 includes guest spots from busta rhymes, nas, az, & wu-tang brethren rza, gza, & ghostface killah. this 2xlp is the first time this volume and series gets pressed to wax, and features completely new artwork for a fresh look

3 track ep of uneasy psychedelic dub tinged grooves from yoshinori hayashi. a hypnotic cry for a late night chicken takeaway kicks off with a 13 minute a side with three tracks knotted together as one. its opening composition leads to a groove 4 minutes in before closing with a whirling bass crescendo. backed with two more conventional tracks the layered dub of 759 and closing out with the punk funk stylings of 9828.
two dark, adventurous and intense mid tempo mind benders by the mysterious producer k100 signal. 300 copies then gone. tip! the signal was lost along ago. a slowtard rhythm surfaced. as you get deeper into alignment you discover the deconstructed beats from another decay. k100 signal is an elusive project produced in the pitch black code of indulgence.
next up on late night burners we have four warm cuts by roman coskun. with the -feels like forever ep- he showcases his own personal brand of wayward, but elegant deep house.
the title track is deep, but very functional, and clearly built on the underpinnings of classic deep house, while remaining fresh at the same time. then it s time for -sunwards-, blending acidic dreaminess with a lock-tight groove. on the b1, -steps- reminds us of mediterranean summers, with its warm pads and floaty steel drums, and finally, on -tales from the reef- the gifted 92 spacedrum orchestra joins in for a raw, yet delicate late-night club joint.
one per customer! edwards 2nd album -into a better future- accompanies you for hours, makes you forget that daily grind. it is serious encouragement of movement, telling you to get away from the thick mess and find your way onto a proper highway. you will pass machines along the side of the road, engaged in a process of construction while your hands feel clean. and once in a while you ll hear the sound of sunrise and sunset racing each other in a tight rhythm.
o celebrate two decades of skylax records and a long musical partnership, dj sprinkles and hardrock striker team up as s.h.e. (skylax house explosion) to present the first of three exclusive vinyl releases accompanying the mix cd for the 20 years compilation. all three eps feature previously unreleased music personally curated by dj sprinkles and hardrock striker. under the garage presents all new music from move d, jason grove & merwyn sanders, an expresso and signal st as a referential homage to the 80s club of new york city, a space that commercially paved the way for the evolution of dance music (music of the “house”) as well as spaces around which queer communities could feel safe - all to the sounds of djs like larry levan and frankie knuckles. jason grove is a long-time collaborator with skylax, along with signal st who has released on its sub label - wax classic - as garage shelter, but for move d, it is his first outing on the imprint. move d is one of the few veteran deep house djs still touring consistently having started out in the early nineties.

delivering some fresh flavours from the west coast, we welcome seattle’s finest quadrant & iris back to dispatch, with the “calculated risk ep”. showcasing some exceptional us talents, additional production comes from seattle neighbours dstruct and kid hops, plus a debut from san francisco’s own jamal. the “calculated risk ep” is meticulously constructed but shrewdly balanced, as quadrant & iris bring hard hitting technicality, crafted with composed progression. dauntless & ant tc1 also join forces on opposite sides of the globe for the superb remix of “microsleep”, naturally closing an ep which demonstrates the shared passion and direction amongst quadrant, iris, their closest friends and dispatch today.
303 202 ep - follow up from the huge 101 ep, a collection of acidic techno cuts made with the legendary tb303 and the sh101 machines. coming of the back of the two previous releases, the 303 series continues with the same energy as the last ones. produced in kreuzberg by falling apart.

polarity was born from an equation of mutual dependence between two opposite elements. although the two poles are of different polarity, they find in each other their main spring and their primary component. ultimately, one cannot live without the other.
the sixth release on warsaw-based brutaż,,,, (bruitage) is not the most experimental nor the most banging record. it’s not a tongue-in-cheek type of record nor a kind of commentary. it’s not a wild excursion into anything nor it is a dj tool. there’s nothing futuristic nor oldschool about it. we’re from poland, after all.
person of interest returns to l.i.e.s. with a sleazy three tracker weaving in and out of the edges of house and techno. lines are blurred in only the best way as p.o.i. expands on the sounds of his last eps, refining his style with broken beats and darkside tribal leaning driving techno pressure. top shelf stuff from the brooklyn producer.
2lp gatefold vinyl+extensive spot varnish+ sticker, second album from ame, first album since 2004, featured guests: matthew herbert, gudrun gut, planningtorock, jens kuross (ex drummer ryx), roedelius. in the world of electronic dance music, ame stand apart. since 2003, the duo of frank wiedemann and kristian beyer have cut a singular path through techno, house, minimal, ambient and more with their anthemic singles and mixes. but 2018 reveals their finest achievement yet, their debut full-length album dream house. it both sounds unmistakably like Âme and unlike anything youve ever heard from the duo, an evocative home listening journey enacted after 15 years spent crafting dancefloor weapons.
a project 18 months in the making, marcel fengler presents a imf10, a three part compilation series detailing the past, present and future of his label index marcel fengler. part 2 focuses on the warmer and more soulful side of imf and features an outstanding array of artists making their debut for the label, all of which have a strong personal meaning to fengler. there’s fjaak, the exciting berlin trio he admires for their authentic identity and honest sound, a special shed remix of the enigmatic vril whose timeless productions continue to strike a chord with him, good friend eric cloutier who he has long wanted to get involved in imf and of course long-time label champion thomas hessler. viennas arthur robert a new face marcel discovered after he sent him tracks over facebook contributes a beautiful shimmering work to the compilation. highlighting this section of the project is the first azur track marcels new side project. he explains: ive always liked to be diverse with my music, but i also do’t want to confuse people. this is the reason why i decided to give my melodic side its own identity. my music under the marcel fengler name will go back to its roots and be more raw and rough in production terms. the final digital package will be complemented by a dj mix from thomas hessler comprised of tracks from imf10. stay tuned for parts 3 to follow, which includes originals and remixes by marcel fengler, sebastian kramer (aka redshape), luke slater, peter van hoesen and more.
those who preordered, do not have to do so again - we will contact you when we have stock! recorded in the autumn of 2017 at their studio in vancouvers deep blue, mvx / u41a is the first new music from minimal violence to be released on ninja tunes technicolor imprint and the first to be recorded outside their usual home production space. the result is a record that intends to reduce pop music to its emotive qualities and apply that abstract nostalgia back into dance tracks. their penchant for the heavier and more aggressive side of dance music is most evident in its infiltration of the duo’s often raw and disorientating live set. formed in 2015 the duo, consisting of ashlee luk and lida p, have a string of releases to date with labels such as lobster theremin, 1080p and jungle gym records. drawing on luks years of experience playing in punk bands, they combine hardware sequencers, drum machines and synths, to weave together acid tinged compositions that derive inspiration from early electronic and minimal synth through to heavier uk rave and hardcore.
naif 009 is the second in a series of five eps that are released around the release of the dj-mix-cd also named naif which has its release in april 2018 the second strike comes with two superstrong techno tracks: lean forward is a contribution by nihad tule that wil burn the dancefloors. followed by not now, not yet, a scratchy track from the hands of one half of cassegrain: rhyw. side b heads into trippy territories with a heady, sparse but seductive groove by marco shuttle followed by a track from efdemin in a collaboration with his close friend and fellow konrad sprenger (pan) after more then three years of silence as a producer, efdemin a.k.a phillip sollmann returns with a striking hybrid concept that merges the album format with the continuous dj mix format, presenting completely new material in a seamless manner. the cd-mix, named naïf, officially reinstates his label of the same name and is a sprawling tour of inner space featuring 19 distinct tracks from fellow producers along with an additional ten that feature efdemin himself (either as soloist or collaborator). the release condenses his decade-long dj-ing journey and evolution as a producer into a single potent elixir of contemporary techno. naif consists of completely unreleased material from both himself and valued collaborators, all of which will eventually manifest as ep releases: five on his own naif label and two more on curle.
the debut release on mule musiq by italian dj&producer toto chiavetta. i have keep on checking his releases since his release “become one” on osunlade’s yoruba records, it’s still my fav track to play. toto has been releasing eclectic house music from mighty innervisions and yoruba records in the last few years. magnus ep start from floor killer tropical tech house track “higher than a bird”,it will be instant summer anthem. on b side,“magnus”&”first day without her” is more dark techno for big room but we still can hear some musical elements.
original mix, chimes, bells, metal against metal, a distant voice, a premonition , altogether, it s a beautiful darkness, one that comes together in an alien fruition ! sylvain chauveau rmx,, the sun ascends sharply. lying in bed i feel a sense of remorse , i rise with the melody of a violin in some place not so far away , coster escorts the listener from their clicking complacency to a warning for things to come. cristian vogel rmx, a rainspout overflows, drip by drip, on a pile of sheet metal down below, vibrating, building to a crescendo of drops in an otherwise hypnotic sequence of echoes. the manmade feature of this track is stunning, it is industrial, a vacant warehouse of cobalt sound.
the franchise goes one cut deeper as parasols aka ali renault and antoni maiovvi team up on this dark as hell during an eclipse set of grime soaked grease sleazers. parasols throws forth two sharp as blades numbers with a guest appearance by the one and only unit black flight with his first ever remix. antoni maiovvi closes things with something from the vaults, the 808 and sub bass sleekness of shivers, remixed by black metal ebm overlord equitant. guaranteed nightclub nightmares as we put on the gloves one more time...
