innervisions starts off the year with warm sounding rhythms. deep melodic bass and marcus way of coming up with dub elements. on the flip. fink adds his personal vocal touch on title track broad horizons.
ltd 2017 repress - david august is somebody you would t expect on innervisions. but once you ve listened to his - epikur - everything makes sense immediately. when we started innervisons 9 years ago we never thought about reaching number 50. especially with only 5 to 6 releases a year. but here we are to celebrate with a bang. 4 eps from 4 different producers who never released on innervisions before - recondite. orson wells. david august and frankey & sandrino. it is rather a step into the future than a look back on what we achieved. cause as we all know - this is not the end.
after the release of their album -black ships- earlier this year tokyo black star cybersamurais alex and isao are returning to the mothership innervisions with their new 12 inch. -caballero- is tune from the album with a brand new mixdown by andreas schorpp and Âme plus a little edit-help from dixon. on the b-side radio slave delivers a fantastic remix of -caballero- which transfers the repetitive and hypnotic patterns he is known for with an exotic more cosmic sounding touch. all in all we think that this is definitely the best tokyo black star release we ever had in our hands.

from the first moment raoul has sent it. innervisions felt something special about toukan. dixon worked out the pure essence of the track to give it a more dancefloorfriendly twist whilst trikk set the focus on the instrumentals. creating a dubby african techno excursion.
