we are proud to release the first ep from the new fluxion album on echocord. this work is about his travels in music. the sounds, influences and aesthetic of his actual travels, expectation-journey-destination, alongside the music influences deriving from them. through his prism those sounds, pictures, travels, emotions left traces of new directions, of future journeys to take. fluxion captured the motion in his travels with a different feeling each time. on no man is an island with the unreleased dennis brown vocal version ,an influential song, with a clear message. desert nights a kind of desert rock meeting dub on a road movie. butiama an actual place, where variations and consistency in rhythm is within people s dna. this ep also includes a flowing rmx by our good friend thomas fehlmann. after a decade in the field of dub, techno, ambient, fluxion opens the horizon with music that cannot fall under one specific territory.

another city now is the debut ep from ango aka andrew gordon macpherson, the next fresh voice hailing from montreal, canada on the luckyme label. a frequent collaborator with jacques greene, lunice & nycs azealia banks, now is the time for ango to step out alone. over this 6 track narrative - written on the road whilst touring in january 2011 – one hears late 80s pop, early 90s house and contemporary rnb arise in equal measure. every bit the writer as he is the producer, this record is a lyrically polarised selection of girl songs expressing the giddy way up and the painful way back down. but theres something defiantly warm in angos music that serves as a refreshing antidote to 2011s endlessly morose electronic music. where polysynths and hi hats spring above plates of live processed vocals, chopped samples are harmonised upon, punctuated with thumping drums. another city now is a balanced record: upbeat and deep, vintage and yet totally modern, as heart aching as it is uplifting. our tenth record is something special.

feelharmonic proudly presents satore with his ep on tape. the young spanish producer makes his label debut with the deep disco title track on tape and the funky, percussion-driven for the road. on the remix front, the excellent madrid-based duo ordell and ernie from minuendo recordings house it up even further with a re-work each of on tape and for the road respectively.

although its their first official release since 2010s disco anthem bubble bath and its accompanying ep, the swiss have hardly been taking it easy. they have spent the past 12 months taking their live show on the road, playing club nightsacross the us and europe including philly banger making time, fixed in new york, social club in paris, the modular summer sundance in the uk, and gracing the sydney opera house stage for australias vivid festival.
in between shows, swiss members tony mitolo, luke godson, and producer donnie sloan have been steadily working on new material, with a full album expected in 2012. double or nothing, which was written in a hotel room straight after tony played glastonbury this year as part of empire of the sun, is the first taste of whats to come from the group.

as the instruments of rapture series draws to a close, the penultimate release comes courtesy of one of our favourite producers, tornado wallace. >rainbow road< sees captain wallace take us on a star-bound, jazz-funk journey where time stands still and emotions run high. with the equally positive >dont hold back< and a revenge remix on the flip, this is a fitting build-up for the final instalment on the label.

the mysterious robotalco serves up four deep house cuts for nycs on the prowl. robos road kicks things off with the right amount of hissing strings and slow drifting vibes that win its a1 spot. next up we have it gets to me, which strips things back a bit with pulsing synths, sparse congas, and perfectly placed vocal snippets. on the b-side we get moon robot, it keeps things rolling with its stompy feel and more of whats becoming robotalcos signiture swirling synth pad sound. rounding up the release for b2 is zuk zuk, with its quirky low slung groove that develops into a latin percussive gem...its really a superb way to round off robotalcos otp debut. well done.

the intermezzo ep kicks off with we are here, which could be easily described as get out part 2. a spoken word vocal over kerris trademark beats and instrumentation, musing on the subject of a busy schedule and calways available technology. so it begins again takes things down a much more tribal road, perfect for a big room, and the dc10 mix is a nod towards the direction kerri had in mind and the dancefloors he created this track for. the dark mix takes this idea even further with a more progressive feel as the track plays out. red lights explores a more live drum feel with a cut-up breakbeat playing a 4/4 rhythm, and a throbbing bassline and synth pattern. this one is a little deeper but still packs plenty of punch!

somewhere between center parcs in nottingham and the white sandy perfection of formentera reside two men dedicated to the art of horizontal dancing. their mums call them ampo and timm (funny names, those notts lads), though we know them by their collective name of coyote. in their minds eye, it is still 1986 and there are leathery looking germans with alarming posing pouches dancing to simply red records on the shimmering terrace at ku club while down the road alfredo is building his legendary reputation at amnesia. apart from the clued-up few, most of the brits are billeted in san antonio where the beers are cheap and the sunburn is plentiful. coyotes music, despite being produced in the east midlands conjures up a world of sun, sea and 80s glamour, while still sounding very much like today.

>celebration, florida< casts scenes of dreamy characters and stories interwoven like a block of primetime tv. among the tales: a young woman who sets off to find a secret paradise, a teenager who enters a boxing gym in catskill, ny, a late night host recounting his rise to fame to his honeybee while traveling in a private jet, shady degenerates who get lost in a mystery concerning a honda civic, a young girl who crimps her hair and spies her dead father driving down the road, a wall street scandal hits a little too close to home, and even a trip through space to find long forgotten hollywood parties and hopefully make it back there in time to walk down the red carpet. the felice brothers are: ian felice, james felice, christmas, greg farley, and david turbeville.

next up on deep vibes comes sascha dive with his killer remixes of matthew dears >little people (black city)<. originally released on spectral sound (spc 101) as a digital-only package a vinyl edition had to follow due to public demand. for maximum sound quality the 20 minute version got shortened to a 15 minute >vinyl cut< (a1), while the >dub remix< comes in its original form on the flip-side (b1). sascha dive and matthew dear met on the road a few years back. in 2008 matthew dear featured a remix by the deep vibes boss on his watergate mix-compliation. when they played together in munich in august 2010 dear asked dive, if he wanted to do a remix for his upcoming album. the only condition dear asked him for was that it had to be the wildest and most crazy remix that dive could possibly do. little people (black city) is the probably strongest song of matthew dears recently released album black city. sascha dives remixes are on heavy rotation and played by a wide range of djs. make sure you get this joint in the box!
