(oliver mateu), shared his unique talent creating a remix for moodisco. he is the one half of french electro act the youngsters û best known for their two studio albums and singles for laurent garnierÆs label. rodriguez jr. reveals a different incarnation of mateuÆs musical psyche, moving through shimmering, contemplative electronica, to deep and urgent techno, leftfield melodic accents and quirky pop refrains. a perfect blend for this project. moodisco is a combination of artists and friends on the move. they are tireless in enthusiasm and are bursting with new tunes and projects. a straight punch ep release with serious beats, deep melodies and the synth keys we just love to listen over and over!

after time spent whipping up singles for moodmusic and my best friend amongst others, maurice aymard makes the leap to the long-player with a selection of jams that reflect his propensity for live instrumentation and thoroughly musical constructs within the disco-inflected realms of house music. as if metro area were played out by hand, tracks such as home groove hard on plush live bass lines, poignant rhodes chords and romantic lead synths. gui boratto turns up to chip in to colours & drops with its more prominent techy backbone, but that s offset by the non-dancefloor roll of 1994 . it s a diverse album that provides the perfect platform for a skilled craftsman to explore, er, his craft.
from gui borattos latest album iii comes >this is not the end<, an indie minded track that convincingly demonstrates guis impressive skill set when it comes to emotional narratives embedded in a distinctively monumental context. like his timeless >beautiful life< and last years album highlight >destination: education< (already remixed to perfection by terranova and tale of us), >this is not the end< features the beautiful vocals of luciana villanova, who seems to know exactly what makes gui tick - which doesnt come as a surprise, as they are married – and possesses this rarest of all gifts, an unique voice that seems to address each listener personally. in his own 2012 mix featured here, gui doesnt so much concentrate on the originals tearjerking qualities (which were already fully formed), but streamlines the arrangement for ease of use on the floor of your choice, making the track even more refined and addictive. those of you looking for a slighty more adventurous approach will find their satisfaction with michael mayers rework on the flipside, where the source materials hypnotic qualities are brought to the fore, resulting in a masterful slice of catchy prime time psychedelica. with both mixes turning out to be instant classics, we can definitely confirm that this is not the end.
DESTINATION: EDUCATION REMIXES (TERRANOVA / TALE OF US)
12" Vinyl D12.03.12
gui borattos dark 2011 masterpiece >iii< was brimming with deft highlights, but not every one of them was aiming at the floor. showing his expertise in more than one style, the brazilian producer wove an intriguing web of beats and sounds that even surprised his most dedicated fans. >destination: education<, a slightly saturnine rhythm study featuring the return of guis wife luciana on vocals (who also sang on the classic >beautiful life< from debut album >chromophobia<), now gets pushed into the spotlight by dancefloor gurus terranova and tale of us, both tweaking the track to its optimal danceability. a must have for boratto zealots and crowd-sensitive djs alike, this 12 inch presents two heavy-duty bangers tailored to every partys needs.
TUNING 08 (P. CHARDRONNET / D. EULBERG RMXS) (WHITE MARBLED)
coloured 12" Vinyl D17.10.11
today, the pit lane is decorated with red carpet and golden leaf for two exceptional talents: from the black forest patrick chardronnet for the gui boratto (bra)-team, and from the westerwald dominik eulberg (ger) for the extrawelt-team. both drivers are concentrated. they are wearing shimmering overalls and golden helmets. they get into their softly purring apparillos. two pairs of gloves at the steering wheel. the heat is flimmering over the hot asphalt. during the race, the gui boratto / patrick chardronnet-team focuses on deep bass lines and a constant improvement in performance with a slightly shifted ideal line, and only one pit stop. in three words: mighty, majestic, thunderous! team-extrawelt acts a bit more flexible. dominik eulberg either puts on the handbrake or drives at full speed. he is fast, he is flexible, and his elegant turns make the audience go wild. but in the end, both sportsmen share the champagne, and the after-show party will go down in the history of the tunig series. ready, steady, go!
comes on white / grey marbled vinyl.
following a world-wide rollercoaster of almost 3 years continuously on the road touring, gui boratto found himself back in his sao paolo studio in early 2011. the results are here with >iii< – arguably his greatest musical accomplishment to date. kicking off with the slo drive >galuchat< the sitar-ish instrumental embedded in the track sets a foundation of melancholic organic groove found throughout >iii<.
sao paulos techno titan returns. gui boratto needs little introduction - after all he has played pretty much every corner of the globe, placing himself as one of the most in-demand producers and performers in dance music today. its summer and kompakts bomb for the season is about to explode. just in time for his extensive european tour throughout july. the drill embraces the classic kompakt shaffel but delivered in a chalice of class that only gui boratto is capable of drinking from. a roaring bass line that sways side to side in layers of euphoric harmony. bold – brazen. boratto. stems from hell is classic boratto. guitar-esque chording launches this depth charge that is just pure build. tension and release – you sense this track can almost breath on its own. the moments are near perfect in this swelling that reaches a fever pitch right when you think it would never come. there will be more from gui boratto in 2011....stay tuned.
the album will be released on cd and vinyl. the vinyl release will contain remixes by gui boratto, heiko laux, estroe, gideon, ferreck dawn and mbc. early plays by: luciano, steve bug, laurent garnier, heiko laux, estroe, mark henning, luigi madonna.
PUT SOME FOR JULES EP ( GUI BORATTO + GARNICA REMIXES)
12" Vinyl ES16.08.10
finally label owner maurice aymard releases his debut ep in his own label. after releasing last year in einmusik label and sasses mood music imprint, moe how his friends call him has decided to show his art through galaktika. the ep has two strong remixes the first one comes from the brazilian s head quarters and old friend from the house called gui boratto. gui is a top five world techno producer, after remixing names like moby, massive attack and robin williams he finds times in his super busy schedule and delivers a massive tune. he changes the hole track, he stamps his sound on the remix and add and incredible rhodes to close up the track, and epic remix that will last for ever. garnica does completely the opposite as gui, he turns put some for jules in a techno tune for pick time hours, with groove and percussions as main course. garnica has find his formula to make great remixes and keep your head up cause will be more to come.
akin to deconstruction itself, >the gift< symbolised the credible mid 90s dance hit. surrounded by a fog of cheap commercial fodder, way out wests roberta flack-sampling crossover anthem shone like a beacon, reaching the top 15 of the uk singles chart in 1996.
kicking off the new package is way out wests own 2010 remix. toughening up the original break based drums and adding a few new synth lines is all wow needed to do to breath a second life in their ubiquitous track.
gui borattos remix takes the track into deep tech house territory. gui flips the track to a straight 4/4 beat, adding some organic percussion, side chained chords and his trademark warm distorted synths to create a truly euphoric groove.
SYCAMORE FEELING (GUI BORATTO & THOMAS SCHUMACHER RMXS)
12" Vinyl D06.04.10
slamming floor remixes, gui boratto turns sycamore feeling into a convincing club-track, with lighter colours and a straight four to the floor drive. using cut-ups and snippets of fiskers vocal, he transforms the mood of the original without losing its great melodic feel. thomas schumacher takes the track even further and comes up with a driving minimal techno workout, stripping away many of the original layers, yet using the vocal to great effect.
gui boratto keeps on giving with these three brand new tunes - a true statement of the tremendous talent he continues to bring to kompakt. he bumps up the bass adds a vocal chorus and teleports the original into a new stratosphere. telecaster is a dark and deep floor leveller. the glam is a rocket - elemental percussions play with a low end synth ride that rolls with a menacing delivery but certain to lay devastation on any dance floor.
is time for a brasilian-german-canadian connection through this new defrag// release. robert babicz and pan/tone at the control remixing gui boratto and delivering two finest gems. babicz show his skills with an elegant andpowerful tune - driving and hypnotic with that super fat sound that only robert have. on the other side we proudly welcome our friend pan/tone on board, his debut for us is a percussive and sofisticated tune with an old schoolappeal. more will come soon from this man on defrag//, stay tuned.
here we go with the new defrag from our brazilian friend gui boratto. >i feel love< is one of those very special records that goes far and further from the boring trends of the moment. as we like to say it is a timeless techno tune, an open air magik track with vibrant pads full of synthetic feelings and processed voice that reminds the best moments of the disco from the 80s or, if you prefer, as our friends at kompakt, you can define it: elegant techno.
>no turning back< has been clearly declared as the choice cut by the fans and djs everywhere.
first remix comes from the wighnomy brothers, who deliver a pure sunset rubdown.
on the flip the mole delivers a remix that defines what the term deep should mean to folks out there.

massive support from laurent garnier !!copenhagen guy philip flindt aka. lophi (mis rec.) and brazil genius gui boratto present amazing peaktime action! big support from martin eyerer, monoroom, dubnitzky,..
on this ep is will and tam coopers exclusive new track >out there< and the gui boratto remix of their >sequential circus<. support comes from adam freeland, ewan pearson, jesse rose, pete tong, audiofly, claude von stroke, dirt crew, karotte, konrad black, motorcitysoul..
supported by: miss kittin, pete tong, john digweed, jimpster, stephan bodzin, sander kleinenberg, laurent garnier, dirt crew, ralph lawson, hot chip, spirit catcher, danny howells, satoshi tomiie, jerome sydenham, prins thomas, phil kieran, toni rios, mistress barbara, paul woolford, tom novy, nick warren, tim deluxe, claudio coccoluto, sian, ben watt and will saul ! oh my god! what is this? incredible but true, this is a collaboration between mister systematic marc romboy and brasilian kompakt figure head gui boratto from brasil. both activists have influenced and created the current electro and house scene impressively and essentially during the last years. now they team up to write a song together and the result is the very emotional track named >eurasia<
the french boxer guys greg delon & andre dalcan come with hypnotic 2006 techno at its best !! brazilian boy wonder gui boratto takes his typical note to this dangerous & melancholic club weapon... big with oxia, bodzin...
at the moment we cant get enough of our favourite brasilian. on his new single gui goes to a little bit more minimal tech but his southamerican touch is still guaranteed.. techno toughness meets sexy hip action !!
