following the 2008 release deep vibes crew proudly presents the 2nd instalment of in the streets. this time split in two eps, you can expect some dope tunes from the zars, slack society and henry l & ingo sÄnger.
sometimes things turn out different than planned. that also applies for remixes one does for other labels: >the lost remixes< features two personal favourite remixes by sascha dive, now seeing a release on vinly for the first time. side a offers a gentle & laid-back remix for neggheads >being< that warms-up every dance-floor just like a sweet summer breeze. sascha dives remix for the basil classic >time to be free (free world)< on side b is a lot more four to the floor and with its almost epic groove yet proven another track that you’ll hear in clubs at any time of the night. listen up!
in 2014 sascha dive released his last album called dark shadow. now in 2017 finally we have great remixes made by reboot, tobi neumann, arno e. mathieu, austen/scott (brodanse) and hooved . check it out
following the revival last year of the basic collective ep sascha continues the series with a really special guest aquarius heaven. the a side is a tribute the legendary kerri chandler and labels such as king street, shelter and madhouse. it includes a full vocal house track as well as an instrumental version of the same. on the b side sascha goes back to his deeper detroit roots. pure old-school house music.
coming up next in sascha dives discography is his new basic collective ep. this will be the 4th edition and the first one after a hiatus of 6 years! stripped down basic grooves as we love them. and speaking of stripped down basic grooves!
with >the lost remixes pt. 2< deep vibes recordings continues to contribute to the love for vinyl: three fine remixes, two previously released digitally through major house labels, are now available on black gold for the first time. sascha dives trippy remix of silicon soul and the pumping muscle-house remix of roland clark & urban soul are already worth every penny.
we have been working with knarf skipson since the very early days of deep vibes recordings and, just like a good red wine, 7 years of waiting have been worth the while. this 5 track ep brings you nothing but pure sampling madness, wild composing and some wicked beats that all go in line with the likes of koze, kdj or shake shakir.
that dope loop pinning down sascha dive as cocoons deephouse wunderkind wouldnt really hit the nail on the head however it isnt far from truth. compared to most other artists of this genre he can for sure be classified as a young gun but there is no soundproof for his age in his music at all.
deep vibes recordings returns to the fore with none other than notorious frank heinrich aka reboot, purveyor of masterfully crafted rhythm etudes and a highly respected member of frankfurts vibrant house scene. with deep v, the offenbach-bred producer brings his seething second album to sascha dives imprint, bursting at the seams with intricate percussive bliss and nimble-footed grooves for the enthused dancer.
next up on deep vibes is the probably last but definitely not least ibiza anthem of the year. we kept it in the shelves for a bit, had it played out by dj sneak, tobi neumann and sebo k and even saw laurent garnier posting a picture of a promo cd with el recorrido on facebook in desperate search of the person who gave it to him.
SESSION NO.2 (FRED P. WILLIE GRAFF & TUCCILLO REMIX)
12" Vinyl D14.05.12
heres the final 2nd part of sascha dives restless nights album remixes. after frank roger and alix alvarez appeared with their own versions of sascha dives music on the first part of this remix series in 2011, the 2nd part will be acclaimed in equal measure. on side a1 chicago house legend halo feat. blakkat transform sascha dives original summer madness into a straight club track with a groove one just can not resist. on b1 willi graff and tuccilio deliver their interpretation of underground railroad - yet another dance floor bomb! a true shaker. were loving it!fred p. again keeps it dark with his interpretation of get out of the ghetto blues.deep, deeper, the deepest. check it out. hips dont lie!
here are the long awaited remixes of sascha dives >restless nights< album. >jam sessions #1< is the first out of two 12s that will be released on deep vibes. on a1 french deep house grandeur franck roger comes up with a supreme dark but warm remix of >drums of the jungle<. a2 features a remix by nycs sole channel boss alix alvarez. his remix of >the jam< is sexy as hell and works perfectly on the dance floor. on b1 sascha dive gave his 2010 ueber-hit >jus groove< a treatment. the new >dub version< is just as catchy as the original and works with full effect
next up on deep vibes comes sascha dive with his killer remixes of matthew dears >little people (black city)<. originally released on spectral sound (spc 101) as a digital-only package a vinyl edition had to follow due to public demand. for maximum sound quality the 20 minute version got shortened to a 15 minute >vinyl cut< (a1), while the >dub remix< comes in its original form on the flip-side (b1). sascha dive and matthew dear met on the road a few years back. in 2008 matthew dear featured a remix by the deep vibes boss on his watergate mix-compliation. when they played together in munich in august 2010 dear asked dive, if he wanted to do a remix for his upcoming album. the only condition dear asked him for was that it had to be the wildest and most crazy remix that dive could possibly do. little people (black city) is the probably strongest song of matthew dears recently released album black city. sascha dives remixes are on heavy rotation and played by a wide range of djs. make sure you get this joint in the box!
sascha dive has been successful both as a producer, and as a dj. when you talk with him about club music, and in particular house music, you almost get the impression of talking to a human encyclopaedia. his expert knowledge combined with his definition of contemporary club tunes makes his sets a unique experience. he takes the audience on a trip towards the future and the past, and at the end of the night gently back into the here and now again.
this is the first deep vibes label compilation called >in the streets - the new sound of the city<, with eight exclusiv and unreleased tracks & remixes from norm talley, the beatdown brothers aka delano smith & mike clark, samuel davis (detroit), sascha dive, markus fix, johnny d., buks aka knarf skipson & baaz (frankfurt, mannheim, würzburg), ray valioso aka agnes (bogota dc) and jason blakemore (los angeles) .... already dj support : karotte (cocoon, great stuff), sebo k (mobilee), d julz (ovum), jety (circus company)
following his remix of i cried for you from scott ferguson and his subsequent release down edit on raum…musik, sascha dive now brings us his follow up ep, the basic collective part 2. on the a side you ll bold tracks strongly influenced by such artists as octave one, gary martin, dj rasoul or even the brothers vibe. in contrast on side b he returns to his basic roots and presents once more deep/detroit/minimal house music.
scott ferguson has already had numerouis releases on international deejay gigolo, rhythmic-deep and psychostasia recordings (koomba project) as well as on his own label, ferris park. now he releases on deep vibes recordings four tracks heavilly inspired by the detroit sound one of which is a remix of >i cried for you<
the first release on deep vibes comes from sascha dive who also runs the label. inspired by detroit house legends such as theo parish, moodyman, rick wade, m. pittman etc he goes his particular own way and brings this over with very deep and warm sounds. it is worth noting that there will be a total of three parts to this series, to be followed by a remix ep
pinning down sascha dive as cocoons deephouse wunderkind wouldnt really hit the nail on the head however it isn’t far from truth. compared to most other artists of this genre he can for sure be classified as a young gun but there is no soundproof for his age in his music at all.
time and again, when everything appears to have come to a complete standstill, you will find yourself seriously wondering what the future of electronic club music is going to be like. what will come next? and it was at that very moment when suddenly a new record appeared on the market to satisfy this longing for new, fresh sounds: sascha dives the basic collective pt. 1. in the meantime, almost 4 years and innumerable releases later, a new genre of house music has developed from and around the concept of this young, highly inspired frankfurt-based artist.
deep vibes recordings returns to the fore with none other than notorious frank heinrich aka reboot, purveyor of masterfully crafted rhythm etudes and a highly respected member of frankfurts vibrant house scene. with deep v, the offenbach-bred producer brings his seething second album to sascha dives imprint, bursting at the seams with intricate percussive bliss and nimble-footed grooves for the enthused dancer
