the three tracks for this release go through a wide range of our sound. >cyclone< by samuel dan and feygin is a throwback to the way dirtybird records sounded back in 2006, raw and fun with big drums. but >cyclone< sounds amazing compared to the sound quality of some of those old records we all love, a definite update to the old db vibe. b-jus >babbel net< is his follow-up appearance to last years bomb track >my sneakers< that all of us played 1000 times. this is more in the smooth 808 style of dirtybird while still giving you some punch and melody. this record works really well for me and this groove crossover into a house set no problem. last but not least is maelstroms >you play<. this is a real monster, not so much for the house heads but instead for those of you who like to cross genres and explore the bass regions during your sets. definitely not your friendly deep house record this one is a real db banger in the tradition of big dirty bass we love here in san francisco.

this is third single cut from the debut album parts unknown which is released on 28 march 2011. >i m sorry< on a1 is electric boogie house. if you like the production of tensnake, you will love. >your love< on a2, this is first song which eddie sung by himself. it sounds arthur russell little bit. >starlight< on b1, eddie invited his friend as co-producer and result is playful house track. >love journey< on b2 is typical eddies soulful beatdown stuff.

kicking off 2011 with a killer e.p. is our favourite artist art bleek featuring a number of remixes from the new art supplies album released on loungin this month plus some fresh cuts exclusive to this release. starting the e.p. is a floor filling remix of clap your hands by our own trevor loveys. the original has been out for a few months in the blogosphere and has been picking up some heavy props. next up is hold it (a little longer) where art shows off his true talent of the master of the musical groove with a rolling bass and a choppup vocal lick to keep the party rocking. flip over to side b and you would be excused if you thought someone had swapped the record out for a disco classic. with vox by noelle scaggs and a harmony that nile rodgers would be proud of arthur creates a boogie classic that is very much flavour of the moment. following on is an exclusive remix of the hunt dance featuring the unmistakable voice of ursula rucker. the original on art supplies has had such amazing reactions that we all thought it would be hard to better it, but again arthur has done it delivering a groover for the heads. finally is right on featuring l.as finest charlie sputnik. art delivers a more techy grove to this classic which is a sound he is becoming more recognised for which contrasts so will with charlies trademark smooth vocals.

nice price deal !!! fix aka orlando voorn is back with a good dose of techno & funk.... this is a detroit style extraordinaire. intro is a short skit preparing you for whats about to hit your speakers. dr technofunkenstein is made in respect of the p funk era and is symbolizing the true essence of the funk in a 2011 jacket. you can find the vocal as well as the instrumental version on the a-side. on the flipside there is the title >juice< a technofunk outfit with solid beats and p-funk influences. the outro proves once more there is nothing that fix is doing is un funky. straight up no nonsense jams on this ep. a must for the real technofunkateers!

for the first side we got counterstrike & zardonic going at it head 2 head with >when worlds collide<. this pa stomper is a brute piece of work. destructive rolling beats hammer your face in while the bassline peals your face off bit by bit. put your screwface on and start bashing to this one.

2010 was an incredible successful year for nosferatu, with no doubt the biggest highlight of them all, hosting his own area at trillogy 2010! as a tribute to this night he hit the studio with some of his good and well - known friends in the scene, which resulted into this wonderful 4 tracker on enzyme records. the tracks sick of it all (feat. evil activities) and hate on yourself (feat. the viper) can already be called real floor fillers.poop (feat. ruffneck) and hope dissolves (feat. outblast) have a more experimental character, but they definitely know how to bring movement to every dance floor around the globe!

following an outing to tokyo, our favourite old school pioneer jumps over the channel to knock out four edits to make the floors shake. this ep really cracks up the party vibe a notch. cor blimey!

a big blast coming here from multi talent broombeck. broombeck is known for some fine releases in the past on opossum rec. and terminal m, creating a big stir with his track >the clapper< in 2009. his track wtfai is a mega rocker coming with a monstrous vocal and a seductive speedy drum programming getting it to the die hard fans in a big way. broombecks trademark is dance floor energy exercised in perfection, this is a frenetic club smasher from the future with a big nod to the past. bassdriven techno on the highest level and frankly if you dont move your feet to this tune, you better retreat back home. the remix was done by m.in who teamed up with the frankfurt artists jonas fort his. the remix works great with a long intro and adding percussion step by step creating a rush in the second half that makes it a worthy companion.

marco zenker, the wonderboy from munich is up and looking for freedom again with his second record on ilian tape. invisible shadows was discovered by ourselves on the last ilian tape warehouse party back last year. when we heard it the first time on a big system - even marco himself - we were pretty surprised. its building up slowly and leads into a very open space - the perfect track to give the night another direction. remain silent after you heard that side and open your ears for the b side that sends us into a different sphere. here we go down. you almost can call that cut a meditation hymne - it has the same vibe as osho ashram s back then hosted by f. fuhlert. finally we have a tripping remix from one of the hottest dutch guys at the moment - conforce. known for his releases on meanwhile, delsin or rush hour he shows once again why holland is thechicago of europe. its just free spirited, soulful and openminded. qualities we are missing here more or less in bavaria. so we are trying to open up and change things. the time will come. kiss
