>deuce< is gallaghers second solo album and was originally released in 1971 as well. in contrast with his previous well-produced album, >deuce< was an effort by to capture the energy of a live performance. in order to do so gallagher would often record immediately before or after live performances while keeping production at a minimum.

after a break from releasing new material while he concentrated on developing the freerotation electronic music festival, mindtours label boss steevio is back with a 4 track ep of live improvised modular music. modular techno vol 1 is four tracks of raw, deep, jazz tinged, freeform, analogue minimal electronics, all sequencing and sound manipulation was jammed live on steevios modular synthesizer, without the use of a computer, or eq / compression / mastering or any other processing in a deliberate attempt to capture a live electronic music performance directly to vinyl.

sometimes it is difficult to tell the journey of an artist such as flash grab road. initially, it is the story of a struggling taxi driver from marseille who made electronic music in his spare time. one day, tired with life he decided to throw away everything and live for his new passion, texas holden poker.

the second edition of the mosso series adheres to its archetypal plan, as alejandro mosso leads us forwards on his musical trek and through the grooves carved onto this record. for this new number, alejandro mosso decided to delve back into his archives and take a closer listen to some forgotten, unfinished pieces. some listeners will surely recognise certain bits of this record as they were part of mossos live performance years ago. this is however the first time they will be edited and see the light of day. on the a-side, aconcagua is a festive theme on which a magnetic marimba riff turns into an escalating melody, surrounded by a forest of ascending percussions - characteristic of mossos production – lightly floating around it. cashmere, the flip, was conceived while airborne on a flying carpet, half way above the indian subcontinent and below the countles gleaming stars. perfect instance of alejandro mossos talent, it is a subtle blend of hovering winds and crystallized textures. the bansuri flute and the clave go hand in hand to form reassuring horizons, the soundtrack for a longer moment of hope, greater perspective and spiritual transformation.

when it comes to being a man of many talents, there are few to equal richard norris. dj, producer, musician, a&r man, author and journalist... his is a career of many twists and turns which have always seen him at the forefront of pushing new ideas forward and championing diversity and innovation, be it alongside erol alkan as part of the wizards sleeve, or gone solo as the acclaimed time and space machine.
