12 Inch 23.02.12
support by: gabriel ananda, patrick lindey, karotte, samuel l session, phil kieran, laurent garnier, stephan bodzin, angel molina, alan fitzpatrick, ben sims, joris voorn, dustin zahn, joseph capriati, marco bailey, karotte,.. after the big success of his remixes for david durango & sven elmlund, label boss alexander kowalski returns with a new release of his own on damage music berlin. crossing the borderline is a track from his live-sets and has been played all over the globe. for the studio version he used all of these experiences to edit and create the techno bomb you hear today. the heavy bassline and the pumping percussions give the track a strong drive that delivers us to the break. sweet strings and flying hypnotic synth-sounds bring us to its peak, before releasing us back to the bass once again

RANDOM PLEASURE
12 Inch 26.05.11
big with: adam beyer: >..summer anthem!< , joseph capriati, samuel l session, davide squillace, danny howells, sian, karotte, laurent garnier, joel mull, marco bailey, sebrok, gregor tresher, diesel, alan fitzpatrick, ... with barely a breath after dmb004 comes another exclusive release from alexander kowalskis new label damage music berlin. the 1 inch >random pleasure< is the work of swiss electronic music dj, composer and producer david durango. in his numerous releases (pokerflat & mescene records) durango balances between deep and dark grooves to melodious and quirky dub vibes: here he oscillates between both levels. starting with the title track, the structure reveals consciously tight and multi-layered percussive hooks under the blanket of a substantial, dreamy bassline. the addition of a subtle, melancholic vocal sample ensures hypnotic effect. >ambivalus< walks right into a rather old school vibe, gathering strength with ever-increasing, spiraling keyboard stabs reminiscent of earlier rave eloquence that compels certain dancefloor revelry. the flip side sees the title track remixed by kowalski who treats the matter with his vivacious bite, stretching the voice, injecting a warbled fuzz bass and after a sublime break, enlarges the work to infectious dance dimensions. respected frankfurt artist patrick lindsey (terminal m & funkwelle) remixes the track additionally: he dissects the vocals, keeping the bass and keyboards minimally tight and sharply symmetric for a very mesmerizing treatment.

WHATS THE POINT? (DOSEM REMIX)
12 Inch 07.04.11
although the damage music berlin label is still in its youth, the creative input is not holding its breath too long: after the success of the damage release dirty doering >loco remixes<, this issue presents a new 12ep that puts even more excellent and fresh urban breath into modern club music. first up is >whats the point?<, a collaboration with label chief alexander kowalski together with jake the rapper. by teaming up with jake the urban electronic guerilla, a cunning and highly-effective headbanging is produced, harvesting a moody and darkly infectious spoken text. >it all boils down< ... what unfolds here is an intense yet uncluttered soundtrack surrounding a mystifying message of sexually metapysical proportions crafted and totally engaging.

THE HEAT OF THE NIGHT
12 Inch 22.10.09
played by len faki, joris voorn, secret cinema, housemeister , funk d void, steve rachmad... alexander kowalski is back! after more than a year of not bringing out any new releases and leaving the >different< label, the first 12inch is now to appear on his own label >damage music berlin<, dmb for short. >the heat of the night< clearly takes the former kanzleramt flagship back to its original deep sound. this energy-laden dub-techno number is sure to make the dancers hearts beat faster, and to make them sweat - in the heat of the night... >its been a long way< is a typical pushy kowalski techno track that dares the tightrope walk between rolling basses and melancholic soundscapes. as for >dont judge me (just because i like the rave)<, the name says it all! this track is one of the smashers in the current kowalski live sets and has already taken apart a number of clubs in the process. alexander kowalski decided to found a label of his own primarily to release his own tracks that he has either tried and tested as part of his live sets or fresh ideas straight from his studio. in time, he also wants to provide a platform for other artists to publish their music. time to damage!
