recorded in the immediate aftermath of his last ep >passed me by<, this new doublepack from andy stott features six new productions that are more desolate and exposed than anything on its predecessor. the opening >submission< tumbles into being with layers of washed-out digital revolutions, creating an artificial landscape thats quite at odds with the analogue machinations that follow - yet somehow rendering the alienated feel of this material perfectly. >posers< nudges its way into being abruptly and embeds another squashed funk variant thas all low-lit neon and growling textures, awkwardly shuffling into a more robust 4/4 template suffused with sparkling percussion and disembodied vocals. >bad wires< is the centrepiece of the ep, a relentless percussive cluster*ck that belies its slow tempo with a fearless rhythmic attitude. its as immersive and narcotic as anything ever produced by stott - peeling away one layer after another with each repeated listen. >we stay together< (part one) was the first track written for the ep and offers a more spacious narrative and a more sparkling, hazy palette - culminating in a beautifully frayed central hook thats somehow in keeping with the vhs aesthetic of both jamal moss and ferris bueller. >cherry eye< tumbles deep into a darkened hole before ep closer >cracked< turns up, fuelled by an odd mixture of adrenalin and sorrow to send you on your way.... buzzing and forlorn

white rabbits giovanni damico is a house producer from italy. his style is hard to define as all tracks have their own original concept. it is the love for music that you can instantly hear in giovannis perception of house music. house music is dancemusic and the feel in the drums and use of samples make sure of that. this is house music at his best when listened to this 3 track vinyl. be amazed at the subtle crossover between blues and house on the b2 track.

this ep was formed with a concept in mind that involves a natural phenomenon occurring in various / different fields of science and nature - anti-parallelism. as the word suggests, anti-parallelism describes the natural relationship between two occurrences, objects or even non-material things, that are virtually identical and yet oriented in different directions. during the time the music was made i was researching natural phenomenons like this one. naturally, this became part of the nucleus, fabric and inspiration for this work. in genetics, for example, if the >antiparallelity< is corrupted during the process of dna replication it is called a mutation. this mutation can be anything from totally inconsequential to critical for the survival of the whole living organism. a double helix of dna contains two helixes, that are naturally anti-parallel to one another. in physics this could be two of the same objects moving through space and time in opposite directions - just like the instruments or parts of a beat in electronic music production. so metaphorically speaking, anti-parallelism holds a natural balance to keep it safe and stable. although this might sound all very conceptual and theoretical this music is obviously just what it is - it is not intended to teach math, physics or biology in any way. the above mentioned aspect has simply found its way through my head and might have led to a piece of music that somehow, at least for me, is connected to these thoughts. it might evoke something very different for you

while lekebusch is a veteran, joseph capriati is part of the upsurge of new talent who have been grabbing increasingly intense attention over the past few years. the pairing of a prodigious new talent (somewhat new � capriati has developed quite a catalogue for an artist in his early twenties) with someone of lekebuschs standing is always an enticing prospect so >missed flight< looks set to turn heads from its billing alone. >missed flight< the track comes on like the perfect theme to the arrival of autumn. the tones are moody and the groove is linear, penetrating and eerily appointed. a kubrick-esque breakdown of pulses and space is the only thing that breaks the momentum and adds a deliciously creepy characteristic to proceedings. track two, >napoli 4am<, balances out its darker tinged predecessor with a shuffling 909 funk and playful groove combination that pairs up with subtly delayed hits deep fm synth work brilliantly.

his first, and arguably best album from the great rozenblit catalogue lovingly restored in its original format on limited lp, re-mastered from the original rozenblit master tapes. in 1968 tom ze moved from salvador, bahia to sao paulo where he hung out and wrote with his friends gilberto gil and caetano veloso. although initially part of the tropicalia movement, ze was extremely independent and determined to forge his own musical path. he started by recording grande liquidacao, a hyperactive pop album backed up by two incredible psychedelic rock bands: os brazoes and os versateis.

the collaboration between wareika and soukie & windish at this time delivers a very special package. the original is a long atmospheric track, which seems to slow down and after a long and fading break ends up in a deep and cool offbeat. wareikas interpretation is a masterpiece. they played whole part and sounds with their own instruments and added a new baseline, which turns the track into a completely new direction. works for many occasions.

kris wadsworth is an integral part of detroits new wave, and with its time he wears his citys heart on his sleeve, delving into the electronic music legacy of his home town and showcasing the range of his own talent. the epic 10-minute title track >its time< is secret journey through the citys pulsing underground. it begins with a primal techno kick that rings out from afar, distorted by distance and brimming with a sense of anticipation. a gravelly male voice demands to know what time it is, declaring that >its time for that dirty shit, that dope shit, that detroit shit<, and the beat then kicks in, gritty and purposeful. the track then does a surprising about-face, abandoning the fist-pumping techno for just high hats and vocals, and transforming into a new phase that nods to detroits other great legacy: electro. grimy electro breaks and wiry melodies are spun before evolving again into deep house, with a see-saw duet of pads, and double-time hand claps. kris own >move dat ass remix< of his track >det sound< takes the dubby 2010 original, and reworks it as a ferocious bass and drums workout with dizzy vocal arrangements and blasting sirens.

this summer paul weller has a treat for his fans in the form of a brand new track - starlite. the song comes accompanied by remixes from black van, drop out orchestra and d-pulse. speaking about >starlite, weller said: >here is a brand new track called >starlite< in time for the summer. its not from the forthcoming album, its just for now! its part balearic beat, poetry and psychedelic music. i hope you like it. pwx<

clement meyer now joins correspondant, and with a nod to his parisian roots he enters our label with techno to be reckoned with. just listen to the first half of >sweet insanity<, and you will begin to appreciate his dark style as much as we do. abe duque, who we have invited to remix >sweet insanity< has been at the head of the acid-house and underground-techno table since his earliest releases way back in 1993. from muscular and melodic techno to cocktail jazz and ambient interludes, his early tracks on his own labels tension and hollis haus included releases under pseudonyms like kirilan and super secret symphony, plus his releases on others labels like disko b, rapture!, morbid, and tresor captured a particular period of clubbing history. the second part of duque s career was a run of increasingly massive 12 inch hits like champagne days, cocaine nights, acid, disco nights, and in 2004 his monster smash with blake baxter >what happened?<. his signature is now stamped across productions from top acts like chemical brothers, pet shop boys, and miss kitten, and has become a regular on dj hells gigolo label. the highlight of this period, though, was his first album >so underground it hurts<. it was undeniably a techno event, and that is exactly what he comes with today, a mind bending techno remix of >sweet insanity<. we hope you like it!

500 limited edition 180 gram vinyl double album that comes with 32 page comic novel. written and illustrated by ulrich troyer. songs for william is the first in a trilogy of experimental dub projects from ulrich troyer and deep medi musik. ulrich troyer was born in innsbruck and raised in tyrol austria, he studied architecture and music at university and now resides in vienna where he lives and works as a freelance artist and musician. ulrich has been producing music and experimenting with electronics for over 10 years on various projects that include soundtracks for movies, dance productions, exhibitions and sound installations. since 2005 ulrich has also been performing live as a member of the vegetable orchestra.songs for william sees ulrich explore his love for dub music and the experimentations of pioneers such as king tubby, sound dimension and rhythm and sound alongside the influences of mulatu, tony allen and the psychedelic sounds of selda. to accompany this release is the first part chapter of a comic novel featuring the main character william (a guitar effect pedal!) and his journey! all analogue synthesizers, effects, stompboxes, samplers, guitars, percussion and melodica played, programmed, recorded and dubbed by ulrich troyer at the 4bit studio vienna.

2 tracks of previously unreleased holger czukay (can)! - ltd edition of 777 copies, and comes with beautiful sleeve art.
at the age of 43 holger czukay was working on a message for his fans. he kept it unreleased for 30 years. music is a miracle takes you on 18 minute time travel through holger�s own musical universe. he gives the listener the chance to become a part of his world of music giving sound examples of the following tracks: ode to perfume, fragrance, 2 bass shuffle, witches multiplication table which were released on the album >on the way to the peak of normal< in 1981. side b is an unreleased version of ode to perfume that was created in holgers home lab and in the can studio. his friend and producer conny plank helped him with a cheap korg vocoder and they recorded the music on one of the first 16-track recorders of mci.

the intermezzo ep kicks off with we are here, which could be easily described as get out part 2. a spoken word vocal over kerris trademark beats and instrumentation, musing on the subject of a busy schedule and calways available technology. so it begins again takes things down a much more tribal road, perfect for a big room, and the dc10 mix is a nod towards the direction kerri had in mind and the dancefloors he created this track for. the dark mix takes this idea even further with a more progressive feel as the track plays out. red lights explores a more live drum feel with a cut-up breakbeat playing a 4/4 rhythm, and a throbbing bassline and synth pattern. this one is a little deeper but still packs plenty of punch!

in an effort to help our dear friends in japan, esp institute presents part 1 in a ltd vinyl stash, all proceeds going to japan relief efforts. cos/mes brings a triumphant theatrical vocal stomper on side a with hey yah and ene label boss chida drops a dark dubby pumper on the flip with danca. sure to fly off the shelves, enjoy!
